Summary: After patching him up for a mild injury, Tony accidentally discovers Peter’s ticklish. Now, Peter’s walking on eggshells around his mentor—who now knows of his dreaded weakness—while trying to convince him otherwise.
A/N: I know, I know, this is super late but I didn’t want to leave these prompts unfinished :( So prepare for a ridiculously late TkTober spam i guess lol TwT
Peter winced as he limped through the Avengers compound to his room. Earlier, he had stopped a gang of criminals who were holding hostages at the mall. He was successful, but ended up getting minor cuts and bruises as a result. Peter brushed it off, confident that his enhanced immune system was going to heal him in no time. All he needed was to sleep it off with a long nap.
However, he may have underestimated the extent of his injuries. His right knee ached with a pulsing pain, and his left side of ribs hurt just as badly. Every time he took a breath, a stinging pain shot through his ribs. It hurt to breathe, curl, and sit down, but Peter was certain (and stubborn) that all he needed was to rest. He’d be fixed up in no time.
He slowly shuffled towards his room, his tired body yearning for the comfort of his bed. When he finally made it to his room, he groaned through his teeth as he slowly stripped off his Spider-Man suit, changing into fuzzy pajamas. Even that action alone proved somewhat difficult as he had to twist his body around to avoid stretching his left side or putting pressure on his knee.
Finally changed, Peter winced again as he slowly lowered himself into bed. He breathed out a long sigh through his nose—wincing a little—as the warmth of his bed and fuzzy pjs calmed his senses.
Reaching out for his plushie, Peter pulled his Iron Teddy—a Build a Bear he made and dressed in an Iron Man costume right after he began his Stark internship—against his chest and let his eyelids droop.
Peter must’ve fallen asleep for a half hour because Tony suddenly barged into his room, ecstatic. “Hey, Pete!”
Peter jumped, startled, and bit down a wince when he saw who was in the room. “O-Oh! Hi, Mr. Stark. What brings you here?”
“I saw your hostage rescue situation on the news,” Tony said with a warm smile. “Rescuing people while taking down a group of bad guys all on your own? 100% success! You really are doing great living up to your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man gig.”
Peter’s whole face lit up at the compliment. Still lying against his pillow, he twiddled his thumbs timidly. “Ah, y’know, just trying to live up to the name…being a hero and all that. But I did learn from the best.” He shot his mentor a proud smile, and swore he saw Tony’s expression get a bit emotional for a second.
“I’m proud of you, Peter,” Tony stated like a prideful father. “You’re doing great. And now, I can’t wait to stick it to Cap and rub it in his face that my 15-year-old underoos is surpassing him! Watch out, Cap, you’ve got some serious competition here!”
Peter laughed at the joke, and instantly regretted it. He hissed through his teeth as that stabbing pain returned on his ribs.
Tony’s eyes were suddenly filled with concern. He took a seat on the bed. “Pete, are you okay? What happened?”
“Nggrhh…nothing,” Peter grunted, forcing a smile. “Just, y’know, being a friendly neighborhood Spider-Man doesn’t always guarantee I won’t wind up with injuries. But I’m totally fine, though. I think I just bruised my knee and stretched a muscle.”
Tony shook his head, unconvinced. “From the sounds of it, it doesn’t sound like you’re totally fine. Let me check you up so I can give you something for the pain. It might be serious.”
“Oh—um—no, that’s okay, Mr. Stark, I don’t—”
Peter didn’t have a chance to finish his sentence because his mentor suddenly scooped him up, and carefully cradled him. The spider teen squeaked in surprise, slightly squirming in his mentor’s hold. “Wait! This isn’t necessary, Mr. Stark! I mean, not that I don’t appreciate everything your do for me.”
“This is absolutely necessary, kiddo. Minor injury or not, an injury is still an injury. And trust me when I say that I know how these things can worsen if you brush them off for too long. At least let me check you up.”
“But—But—” Peter sighed, giving up. “All right.” He let himself be carried all the way to Tony’s lab, where he was then placed down on a medical table.
“All right, tell me what hurts and how much. Rate it on a scale from 1-10.”
“Um, well, my knee and left ribs. For my knee, I’d say…like a 6? 6.5? It hurts if I bend it or put pressure on it. As for ribs, an 8. If I inhale too deeply, it feels like my ribs are about to be spring locked.”
Tony nodded. “Okay, you said firstly your knee hurts. But where specifically?” He reached a hand out to gently squeeze around the knee. “Like, is it the muscle above your kneecap that hurts more? The bone, specifically? Or just your entire knee?”
Before Peter could answer, a high-pitched squeak suddenly ripped from his lips—but not a squeak of pain. His and Tony’s eyes widened at the reaction.
Tony’s face melted to concern again. “I’m sorry, did that hurt a lot? This might be more serious than I thought.”
“N-No, I’m okay,” Peter tried to keep his voice level. “Sorry. Just—startled me is all.” He hoped Tony wouldn’t find his reaction suspicious but unfortunately, the slight pink hue on his cheeks said otherwise.
Tony gently squeezed the teen’s kneecap again. “So does it hurt more up here? Or more down here?’
Peter bit his lip, trying to fight back the wobbly smile that was threatening to spread across his face. “UmMMHMmhmhh..!” He tried to keep his leg still, but couldn’t stop it from twitching and jerking at every touch.
“Kid, you’re moving around too much,” stated Tony bluntly, not taking the hint. “I’m starting to think you could’ve sprained your knee, or worse. Let me check your ribs real quick.”
Oh no.
Forcing a smile through gritted teeth, Peter rolled on his side and sat up. “Um, that’s okay. I think I’m just being too dramatic. I’ll be okay; I’ll just take some Tylenol and sleep it off.” He was about to slide off the table, but his mentor pushed him to lay back down.
“Oh, no, no, no. I’m not letting you go anywhere with your clearly bad injuries. Let me inspect you so I can help, Pete.”
“But—aaAAH!” Peter couldn’t stop the little shriek he emitted when Stark gingerly prodded at his ribs.
“See? You’re worrying me even more, kid. You’re clearly not fine. Now, just hold still!”
“N-NoHO wAHAhait! AAAH!” Peter squirmed in place, groans mixed with giggles as his own reactions were causing his ribs to ache again. He tried biting his lip to prevent himself from laughing, but ended up snorting through his nose. Now filled with embarrassment, he sunk against the table and draped an arm over his face.
“Just stohohop…” Peter giggle-whined, shielding his ribcage with his free arm. “You’re not helping, Mr. Stark!”
Said billionaire sighed. “Peter, you don’t have to put up this ‘tough guy’ act all the time. You may be a kid with incredible powers—an Avenger, even—but even you aren’t invincible. You trust me, right? Now, why won’t you let me help y—”
Tony’s words caught in his throat when he noticed his kid’s behavior. His cheeks were dusted pink, his lips were curled in a wobbly smile, and he was guarding his ribcage like his life depended on it. And he flinched every time he touched the boy’s knee and ribs.
“Wait a second—pause. You were so jumpy back there because that tickled you, right?” Tony thought out loud.
Peter paled. “U-Uhm…no..?” he shyly replied in the most unconvincing manner.
Tony fondly chuckled to himself. “Why didn’t I realize this earlier? No wonder you don’t want me to touch you. You’re just really ticklish and afraid I’m gonna getcha, huh?”
“No! No, I’m not, okay?!” Realizing how he raised his voice, Peter cleared his throat and calmly recreated, “I mean, no. I’m not t—um…physically sensitive. These injuries just hurt and feel really uncomfortable, and I’d really appreciate it if you fixed me up quickly now.”
Keeping a straight face, Stark nodded understandingly. “Of course. I still need to see the extent of your injuries but since you can’t keep still, I’ll just do a bio-scan. FRIDAY, scan Peter for any injuries and tell me the extent of them.”
After the scan was complete, FRIDAY announced that Peter had not only pulled a muscle in his knee, but he also had a bruised rib.
“No wonder you were limping when you were trying to sneak-crawl your way back in through the window.”
Peter’s eyes widened. “H-How did you know that? Were you—were you spying on me?!”
“Kid, I have security cameras everywhere. Even in the refrigerator,” Tony bluntly answered. “But back to you; let me take care of that right away.”
After patching up his beloved mentee, Peter got up off the table and stretched. “Oh, wow. I feel so much better now. Thanks, Mr. Stark!”
Tony nodded with a relieved smile. “Anytime, kid.” He affectionately squeezed Peter’s shoulder near his collarbone, but immediately pulled away when the teen flinched with another sharp squeak.
“Geez,” chuckled Tony, shaking his head, “how ticklish are you? I can’t even pat you on the shoulder without you jumping out of your skin and squeaking like a mouse.” Peter flushed at his comment. “Aw, relax, Peter. I’m just kidding. But don’t think I’m going to drop this. I swear, this may be the best discovery I’ve made since finding out I can make popcorn with my arc reactor.”
Peter opened his mouth to object, but was silenced when his mentor ruffled his hair and walked away like nothing happened. What did he mean by ‘I’m not going to drop this’?
He shuddered at the dreaded realization: Tony Stark, his beloved mentor and idol, just discovered that he’s deathly ticklish.
Yup. He was toast.
The following day, Peter was on high alert. He had an uneasy feeling Mr. Stark was going to exploit his newfound weakness.
All day long, Peter was borderline paranoid. Every time he sensed someone walking behind him, he spun around with a yelp only to be half-relieved it was just one of the other fellow Avengers who were side-eyeing him at his weird outburst. And every time Tony came up to him, he flinched at each shoulder touch and side hug. He could practically feel his mentor’s fingers expertly prodding and pinching at his sides, except nothing happened.
By the end of the day, Peter was convinced he had been worrying for nothing. Tony didn’t try to tickle him once at any point during the day.
Breathing a sigh of relief in his room, Peter happily changed back into his fuzzy pajamas for the night. He was halfway through pulling his pajama shirt over his head when Tony suddenly barged into his room unexpectedly.
“Heyyyy, Peter!”
“Aaaaughh!” Peter shrieked in surprise and—still blindfolded by his own shirt—scrambled backwards onto his bed.
Tony laughed at the kid’s reaction. “Stuck in your own shirt? Here, lemme help you.”
“Nononono, don’t try anything! You better not!” Peter’s muffled voice came from under the soft fabric. He frantically twisted in place until his head finally popped out. He quickly held his hands out in defense. “Don’t…Don’t try anything funny. I know what you’re up to, Mr. Stark! What you’ve been plotting this whole time!”
Tony cocked his head to the side. “Plotting? Plotting what?”
“This while secret plot to get me after you found out I was t—mmghhh…ti—y’know—t-ticklish…And now, you wanna get me for reals! That’s why you’ve been sneaking around all day, acting all innocent, trying to catch me off guard so when I least expect it, you can get me! Well, your tricks won’t work on me! Even if they are devilishly clever!”
“Is that what all this paranoia is about?” Stark shook his head. “Kid, I was never plotting to get ya. I only teased you yesterday because I thought it was adorable the way you reacted over a couple squeezes and prods.” He took a step forward, making Peter shrink back. “But since you suggested I take advantage of the discovery that you’re super ticklish, I say that’s an excellent idea!”
Uh-oh. Oh, no. No, no, no, no, crap! I have got to stop suggesting things like that out loud!
“Y’know, you really shouldn’t suggest things like that out loud if you ever encounter a villain who finds out your little weakness,” continued Tony. He saw Peter’s gaze eye his web shooters on the nearby nightstand in debate. “Try it, and you’re getting tickled nonstop for an hour.” Peter then eyed the door behind the billionaire—his only escape. “Try that or jumping out the window, and I’m bringing the rest of the Avengers to tickle you silly for the rest of the night.”
“Noooo, Mr. Staaaark! You’re so meeeeean!” the spider teen whined like a child. He squeaked and backed away as much as he could when the older Avenger made a grab for him. “NoAAAHAhoho!!” As a last result, Peter threw his Iron Teddy at his mentor’s face, who swiftly ducked.
Tony raised a playful brow. “Ohh, so that’s how it’s going to be?” he asked in a playful tone. “Alright, c’mere!”
“Nooooo!”
Peter squealed as he was grabbed and pulled into his mentor’s arms. Tony took a seat on the bed, effectively securing the teen in his arms. He wasted no time and repeatedly tased Peter’s sides.
Instantly, Peter burst into squeaky giggling. He batted at his mentor’s hands, which in turn got him a couple warning scritches to his belly.
Peter squawked and curled inward as much as he could. “WaHAHAhait! Wait, Mihihister StAHAHAhark!! W-Why ahahahare y—EHEAHA—you doihihihing—?!”
“Why am I doing this to you?” Tony interrupted the giggly teen. He slowed his fingers down a tad to little sporadic pokes up and down Peter’s sides. “Well, two reasons. One: you tried to sneak into the Avengers compound and thought you were so slick with it. Second: this is just absolutely adorable, and I can’t believe you thought you could hide this from me! Win-win if you ask me!”
“WhAHAHAhahat?! H-Hohohow is thIHIHis a wiHIHIhin?! You’re juhust doiHIHIhing this to be mEHEEHEEhean!”
“Calling me mean now?” Tony pretended to sound offended.
“W-Wait, wait, I take it back! I-I take it—bAHAHAEHEHAHA! NOAHAHAHAHA!!” Peter couldn’t finish his sentence because Tony brought both hands upward to quickly scribble against both sides of his neck. “WAHAHEHEHE!! WaHAHAHAIT!!”
“Oh, fine, you little whiner.”
Peter breathed a giggly sigh of relief as the scribbling fingers stopped. However, exactly three seconds later, he shrieked with screechy laughter again when Tony went back to scribbling his belly. “AaAAAHEHEHEHAHAHAAAA!! H-HeHEHEY! MIHIHIster StAHAHARK!?”
“What? You never said how long you wanted me to stop,” Tony answered with a shit-eating grin.
“AAAHEHEHE! B-Buhut thAHAhat’s not faHAHAHAHAIR!!”
Tony hummed unsympathetically, “Mmm, life’s not fair, kid. You know what life often is?”
“WHAHAHAHAHAT?!”
“Unfair.”
Tony burrowed his wiggling fingers deeper into the folds of Peter’s thick, fuzzy pajama shirt. Based on Peter’s adorable screechy reactions, he guessed he must’ve hit a good spot. But he wasn’t done yet. He paused the playful attack for a moment.
“I gotta ask, because you’ve got me intrigued, where else do you happen to be ticklish? Because this is absolutely adorable! I don’t think I’ve heard you genuinely laugh, Peter.”
Peter hid his already red face behind his pajama sleeves. He shook his head in response. “N-Nowhehehehere!”
“Don’t you lie to me, kid. You’ve already done that twice tonight. Do you really wanna lie to my face and make this worse for yourself?” Tony emphasized with a quick tase to the sides.
“EHEEP! But I’m nohot even ticklish..!” came the giggly teen’s muffled reply.
“Kid, I know you’re blushing under there. I can see how red you’re getting; you look like your suit’s color. Don’t make me squeeze it out of you.” Tony rested his fingers on Peter’s belly as a warning.
Slowly, Peter revealed his blushy face. Tilting his head up, he flashed the most innocent-looking puppy eyes he could muster and said, “I’m telling the truth, Mr. Stark! I’m really not ticklish. The only reason why I’m ‘reacting’ as you say is because you’re catching me off guard, and startling me—EEEEHEEHEEHEE!!”
Tony heard enough, going back to scratching at Peter’s tummy like a puppy. “Alright, I think I’ve heard enough. The hard way it is, then.” He tapped into his comm link, alerting the rest of the Avengers. “Nice knowing you, Peter. Avengers, could you come over to my location, stat? We’ve got a little situation that needs—”
“OkAHAHAY! O-OKAHAHAY!!” Peter blurted out in a panic. “I-I’m ticklish, okay?! So ticklish! I-I lihihihied ‘cause I dihidn’t want you to find out and then start teheeheeheasing me about it forever! And ‘cause it’s sohoho embahahaharrassing!”
Tony hovered above him, grinning down. “I knew it. I just wanted to hear you admit it out loud. I wonder though if having your senses heightened from the spider bite also amplified your ticklishness? Or better yet, made all the general ticklish spots twice as sensitive?”
Instead of answering, Peter attempted to make a run for it by wriggling out of his mentor’s arms. He couldn’t get so much as two steps before his knees gave out beneath him and he face-planted against the floor in a heap of giggles.
The billionaire chuckled. “Well, well, looks like when you get flustered, it makes you all loopy. And renders you vulnerable. Good to know for future reference.”
Peter flipped onto his back and with a wobbly smile, aimed his web shooters at the Avenger.
Stark raised a brow, both amused and impressed that the kid dared to challenge him like that. “You web me, and I will call the others to come and help me. I’m serious.”
“And I’m serious that I’m not spilling where I may or may not be theoretically ticklish!”
“Last chance, Peter,” Tony said with a sinister grin. He hovered over the teen with menacing wiggling fingers like a super villain.
Still on a giggle-high, Peter cheekily stuck his tongue out in response.
“Okay, now you’re just asking for it! C’mere!”
Peter squealed adorably as he was once again restrained in his mentor’s arms. And this time, Tony was no longer playing nice as he thoroughly tickled him on each and every possible tickle spot Tony could think of.
As if that wasn’t bad enough, Peter’s screechy reactions not only completely gave him away, but his fuzzy pajama shirt couldn’t protect him from the vicious raspberry assault Tony gave him in the end. To Tony, that was the most cutest reaction he had ever seen (even if it did feel like his eardrums shattered from how shrill Peter’s scream sounded). But to Peter, it was easily the most embarrassing thing that could ever happen to him.
Now, his mentor whom he looked up to knew how and where he was ticklish, but also knew the quickest way to kill him was a big raspberry right to the center of his tummy.
By the end of it, Peter lay like a limp starfish. His face was tomato red and his hair looked like a bird’s nest. Tony just laughed and bent down to ruffle his hair. “Maybe that’ll teach you to think twice before you lie to the great Tony Stark. I always find out the Avengers’ secrets. But, look at the bright side, Pete. Now we know how to cheer you up whenever you go all ‘moody, sulking teenager’ on us.”
Peter shot his head up, eyes wide. “‘We?!’ What do you mean by ‘we?’”
Instead of answering, Tony just stood up with a sly smile. He slowly walked backwards towards the door. “Get some sleep, kiddo. I’d sleep with the door locked if I were you. Y’know…just in case.” He winked, then shut the door.
Peter laid frozen on the floor for a few seconds, trying to register what he was just told. When he finally stood up, he fixed his pajama shirt, climbed into bed, and decided he’d do more than just lock his door shut that night; he webbed the entire door from top to bottom so no one, especially Tony Stark, could try and tickle him in the middle of the night.
So much for keeping his dreaded weakness a secret…

Summary: Tony Stark finds out something silly about his intern and messes around with Peter, much to Peter’s fluster.
lee!Peter Parker // ler!Tony Stark
___
Peter Parker was quite the peculiar individual for Tony. For one, the guy was Spider-man. The friendly neighborhood spidey who helped old ladies cross the street, played soccer with the local kids, and just so happened to be able to go toe-to-toe with a super soldier, and hold his own and even help against avenger level threats as he would get to know.
Yet, also still admiring the avengers like any other fanboy, was awkward, and stumbled on his words around people he liked. It was kinda funny to see the same guy who treated life-or-death and people with guns like a grumpy neighbor get all flustered whenever someone like Captain America wanted to talk to him.
It wasn’t just Peter’s attitude and his work as Spider-man that interested Tony though. It was also his work as Peter as well. He had already figured the kid was smart in STEM from the web formula he used, however, he didn’t expect to find himself genuinely intrigued by Peter’s other projects as he would soon discover.
It was quite interesting to look into some of the kid’s works. He could really tell why the kid was in a STEM school like Midtown. Although he didn’t really plan on developing any relationship to Peter further then just as Iron man and Spider-man, he could really use somewhat of an intern in the labs. Who knows? Maybe it’d be a nice change of pace.
#
From the get-go, Peter was anxious. It had been about two weeks since Tony decided to actually go through with the whole internship thing. The kid came every day after school for about two hours. Unlike what Tony had for some reason expected, it was radio silence from the kid. The only interaction between them would be whenever Tony would ask for a part or came about to check up on whatever the kid was doing.
Usually, the kid was doing something real sweet. Like making an entirely new element for the periodic table and somehow making use out of it. Tony could also tell the kid was working on a personal project using what Tony had to offer, however, the kid was definitely hiding it from him. Which concerned Tony.
Today was no different from usual. Peter was across from him, still messing with the new element. AC/DC blasted as the two of them worked on their own things. Even though it was peaceful between them, it was easy to tell that Peter was definitely anxious. Tony had been meaning to try and dissolve that anxiety from Peter, but he didn’t really know how.
Peter was shaking his leg as his hand rested on his forehead. There was a conflicted expression on his face as the blue light emitting from the element shone on his face. Tony could tell the kid was frustrated. He checked his watch. Shouldn’t be too bad of a time to come around.
Tony stood up from his chair, walking around to where Peter was. He was feeling kinda awkward himself, he had no idea how to really talk to teenagers except for sarcasm anyways. Peter, somehow, didn’t notice him from behind. Tony looked at the element. It looked a bit deformed from last time. There was a plastic cover over it now as it flaked and spurted, splaying itself all over the cover.
“Whatcha got there kid?” Tony tried to soften his voice a bit, trying not to scare Peter. He did anyways. Peter jumped up in surprise, the spinning chair wheeling against the tiled floor.
“Ah-shit—oh, Mr. Stark, hi.” Peter breathed a sigh of relief before straightening, coughing to try and cover up his embarrassment at being caught off guard.
“Hey kid.” Tony couldn’t really help the flat undertone of his voice that just edged for a little bit something more from whoever he was talking to. He usually really liked talking the way he did because of it, but right now he just cringed at it. He liked the kid. He didn’t want to scare him off like this.
“What you have here this time around kiddo? I assume it’s not exactly swell from the looks of it. Got a lil someone over here I see.” He tried to flatten his tone a bit, tapping the plastic covering that was currently splattered from the inside in whatever the element was spewing. Peter grimaced, pursing his lips.
“Err, yea.” Peter replied awkwardly. His shoulders were tense as he tapped his foot against the floor with that same, quick, thumping as he had been for the last 10 minutes. He was clearly not having fun with whatever he has been doing right now from the mindless way he was staring at the glowing splattered on the plastic. You couldn’t even see the actual block of the element. Tony suddenly felt awkward.
“Just something that uh, keeps ruining my tests on it like it hates me or something. Don’t worry, it’s all dandy.” Peter leaned forward from his chair, experimentally lifting the plastic cover as he braced for something. He scrunched his nose when steam arose from under the plastic before he cupped it back in again.
“Hopefully that isn’t some deadly gas you just accidentally concocted.” Tony quipped mindlessly. Peter pursed his lips again, his eyebrows tensing by a miniscule amount.
“Yea.” He just responded again.
“Hey how about we uhh, get you working on something Spidey related? Elements are a hard fix anyways. Have I ever told you about my experiments with Badassium?” Peter’s interest seemed to peak. He raised his eyebrow slightly, eyes following Tony as Tony went to the back of the lab to dig out some gear; probably spider gear.
“No, you haven’t.”
“Right, well,” Tony went on to talk about his experience with Badassium. Peter seemed quite intrigued by the stories, nodding along as he watched Tony drag out blueprints, notebooks, and a whole lot of mechanical parts and spandex as well.
“And the worst part about that was when it blew up on me and broke poor Brucie-bear who just happened to be there’s favorite mug. I think it was the green in his eye that scared me though, apparently he was already having a screw-over’ed day.” Tony pulled out two web shooters. They were designed a bit differently from Peter’s usual web shooters. They were smaller with only the trigger, the small pipe to shoot it out, and the cartridges.
“Try this on, figured it’d be inconvenient if Y’know; crushed up your web shooters like a lollipop.”
“Mr. Stark, who bites lollipops?”
“Last time I checked just about everyone, kid are you sure you’re the only one not biting lollipops kid?” Tony found himself smiling as he looked back at the kid. Peter seemed less tense compared to two hours ago. He was currently trying to put on the web shooters, eyebrows creasing when he couldn’t.
“Need help with that kiddo?” Peter nodded. Extending his wrist out. Tony grabbed the webshooter, taking it and wrapping it around Peter’s wrist. His fingers grazed them. Peter suddenly sputtered. He tensed, flinching away as the web shooter dropped to the ground.
Confusion washed over Tony as he flinched back from Peter. He blinked. Did he alarm him or anything? Peter looked up before looking away. Suddenly shying away again. Did he accidentally trigger a deep-set problem in the kid?
“You alright kid?” Tony asked tentatively. Not wanting to scare the kid.—gosh Pepper would be telling him to stop treating the kid like a scared animal. How were you supposed to talk to kids again? But Peter’s not a kid, he’s a teenager, is he just nervous or did he do something wrong?
“Yea, it’s nothing.” Peter shook his head, keeping his gaze low before extending his hand again. This time a bit more hesitantly. Tony raised an eyebrow. He looked back to Peter’s hand, trying to gauge his memory for when exactly Peter flinched away, trying to pinpoint a reason why. He looked at Peter’s face, before looking back at his wrist. He decided to test the waters. After all, he never liked guessing.
“Ok then, why does this bother you?” He took a light grasp on Peter’s hand, light enough to let Peter pull away if he wanted to. He dragged his finger lightly up and down Peter’s wrist. Peter squawked before he reflexively pulled away.
“I-Uh-I-it’s just—“
“Is it something to do with your Spidey DNA or something? Talk to me kid,”
“No-I mean—yea, it is but-“
“So something with the spider? Come on kiddo, I’m curious unless you don’t wanna talk about it of course.”
“No it’s fine— it’s just uh, embarrassing.” Peter kept flickering his gaze between the floor and Tony.
“Cause like, y’know how uhh, the spider dna gave me spider-like thingys? Like how I can climb walls, I can’t thermoregulate, and-“
“Wait, you can’t thermoregulate?” Tony cut in. Peter just sorta shrugged, still eyeing him with a flustered expression.
“I can’t, yea but anyways—I’m pretty sure it gave me half-developed spinnerets because there’s been like these kinda bumps in both my wrists and they’re really sensitive. It’s bad, so-I just uh, reacted since you brushed them.” Peter looked down again. Tony blinked at the new information. Half-developed spinnerets? That was a new development. The thermoregulation too but that wasn’t the main focus right now.
“Sensitive as in pain-sensitive orrr?”
“Well touching the bumps itself is pain-sensitive, it’s just the surrounding area is.. ticklish.” Now that was definitely new. Who knew Spider-man was embarrassed by being ticklish? It was a funny idea, yet also kinda cute when you take into account Peter’s attitude around him. It made Tony want to be more playful. He grinned a bit.
“Soo, you’re saying that this tickles?” Tony took Peter’s hand again, this time he held it tighter. He dragged his finger lightly across Peter’s wrist again, this time tracing shapes and lines on them. Peter sputtered, his other hand coming up to cover his face as he reflexively tried to pull away again. He looked away to the side, shoulders shaking slightly.
Tony grinned watching Peter’s reaction. The kid was just being adorable right now.
“Come on kiddo, does it tickle? Yes or no.” Tony dragged his finger in a circle around the two bumps on Peter’s wrist, watching as Peter’s fingers curled in, another quiet muffled laugh leaving Peter’s mouth.
“Yehehes it doeses,” Peter giggled, covering his mouth. His shoulders still shaking lightly. Tony had to resist laughing a little himself.
“Are you also saying this tickles?” Tony rolled Peter’s sleeve up, now dragging his fingers lightly across his forearm. Peter squealed before dissolving into breathy, quiet laughs. Trying his best now to muffle them. He sunk in his chair.
“Come on gigglebug, does it tickle?” He dragged his fingers back down to the spinnerets, circling around them slowly again making Peter’s laughter pitch a bit higher again. Peter nodded frantically, trying to hide his face.
“Use your words Pete, does it tickle?” Tony teased him more, basically asking for Peter to break out into laughter at this point.
“Yeshehses!” The word came a bit louder than Peter wanted, trying to pull back even more. Tony hummed, slowly walking his fingers up Peter’s arm. Peter peeked out from covering his face, to be attacked with wiggly fingers against his neck. He squawked, trying to curl up on himself as he scrunched his shoulders. Fuzzy, tingly bolts shooting up his neck to his brain, making him feel all meltly.
“Mr. Stahark!” He whined, trying to cover his face while also pulling lightly at Tony’s hand. He peeked again just to see Tony’s mischievous grin. Only serving to fluster him more.
“Come on Spidey, are you also saying the Spider-man is ticklish? Because that’s probably the most adorable thing I’ve ever heard of all week.” Peter squealed, almost jumping out of his seat as a hand latched onto his ride side. Squeezing and wiggling. He broke out into louder, breathier, laughs as he started to squirm in the spinning chair.
Tony’s fingers trailed up Peter’s neck, scribbling lightly over the sweet spot just to the side below of Peter’s ear. Peter broke out in hysterical giggles, wrenching away from Tony just for fingers to follow. His cheeks turned pink from the embarrassment and laughter. Who knew he was going to end up being possibly tickled to death by Tony Stark himself?
“Is this a giggle spot Pete?” He squeezed just under Peter’s lowest rib, laughing himself when Peter flopped out like a fish out of water, now laying sideways on his right side in the chair as he squirmed around.
“Thishis is evhehvevil! Youhuhur’e ehehevil!” Peter giggled as his laughter started to get louder and more uncontrollable.
“Yea I can’t take you seriously when you’re laughing so much, smiley.” Tony suddenly attacked Peter’s exposed left side with both hands, squeezing his side as he massaged his fingers torturously into his ribs. Peter barked out laughing as he started to squirm with more vigor.
“eHEK! Mrhrhr. StarahHArk!” Peter squeaked as Tony started to crawl his fingers, skittering all over his ribs, sides, and stomach now. Rubbing his thumbs along the side of Peter’s stomach in a way that made his giggles sound more panicky.
“Yes Peter? Do you need more tickles or something? I can do that.” He climbed his fingers up Peter’s ribcage before pinpointing a sweet spot just between the last and second to last rib. Peter’s laughing became louder. Tony snickered himself as he honed into that spot.
“THahHaHat’S SoHOo BaHAhaHad!” The spinning chair swerved hard as Peter kicked out. Tony planted the chair in place with his foot, dragging it closer to him before rubbing deep circles into that spot watching as Peter snorted.
“Pfpt- was that a snort?” Tony laughed now, amused as he massaged deeper into the spot watching as Peter’s cheeks got red.
“My, my Pete I didn’t know you were this ticklish. This is just adorable, you know that right?”
“SHuhHUT UhuUhP!” Peter bit back at the teasing, still giggling and laughing loudly and kiddishly as he squirmed with all his might. Tony whistled at the attitude.
“Not a great thing to say at the moment there Spidey,” Tony skittered his fingers higher up his ribcage, taking notice of how Peter’s pitch got higher the higher he went up.
“Dohohon’t!” Peter looked at him, wide eyed with mirth. He wore a grin on his face that Tony hadn’t seen since he first recruited the kid. He grinned back devilishly.
“Yessss,” he took hold of Peter’s wrist, holding it above his head as he scribbled at Peter’s underarm. Peter broke out into a loud laughter as he weakly tugged at Tony’s hand with his other, unrestrained hand.
Tony didn’t even try to suppress snicker at how ridiculously ticklish this kid was.
“Does it tickle, kid? You’re practically shaking with laughter, I don’t get the big deal.” Tony didn’t even hide his grin as Peter tried to glare at him. Yet it wasn’t very threatening with the wide grin on Peter’s face. Peter opened his mouth to say something just to squeeze his eyes shut with another bout of laughter.
“Sooo would this also tickle?” He let go of Peter’s wrist, going to repeatedly squeeze Peter’s side. He watched as Peter squirmed more with laughter. The kid’s laughter being music to his ears.
“MihsihsitEr!.” Peter tried to talk through the laughter, failing as he did. He curled up on himself, trying to make a ball as his laughter went silent.
Tony snickered, this time more slowly as he figured the kid was just about done. He slowed down, ruffling Peter’s hair.
“Looks like you’re beat kiddo,” He commented. Peter just giggled some more.
“Just got one more thing for you…” Peter suddenly looked panicked as he started to try and scoot back in the chair, trying to escape now before Tony grabbed hold of him, wrestling the vigilante down.
“Nononononono!”
“Ever heard of this berry? I think you’d like it since it’s red and all and you’re red too. As in Spider-man and right now. No? Alright,” He blew a raspberry into Peter’s neck. He spasmed before trying to curl up again as his giggles went hysterical again. White light exploded behind his eyes.
It felt like 30 minutes before Tony finally let up, blowing 2 more quicker raspberries before letting Peter go.
Peter laid limp, curled up in a fetal position in the chair as he tried to catch his breath. Tony watched as Peter’s back raised and fell with breath. He had to suppress another small laugh at the kid. He never thought but he was feeling quite affectionate right now.
“Tony?” Both Peter and Tony’s gaze snapped to the familiar voice. Steve stood in the doorway as the door opened. Steve looked up from what he was holding, blinking at the curled up teen and Tony.
“What happened here?” He asked. Tony just grinned as Peter bolted, scrambling off the chair and hiding behind Steve.
“He’s evil!” Peter accused, pointing at Tony as Steve blinked again at Peter’s newfound attitude. Usually, he was too shy to talk to him.
“Just some good ol’ fun.” Tony said, eyes twinkling with mischief. Steve just raised an eyebrow.

Summary: Tony tries to wake Peter in the morning. Peter however is being stubborn, which is why Tony needs to get a little creative with his methods.
It already was 9:30 am and Peter was still asleep, so Tony decided that he slept enough and that is was more than time to wake him up. He had planned a lot of fun activities in the lab and he for sure wasn't going to let Peter sleep the whole day away.
Tony walked into the room and opened the curtains.
"Rise and shine!" he called
Peter only groaned "What time's it?"
"It is 9:34 a.m. Peter" Friday replied helpfully.
"Ugh, it's early"
"No, it's time to start the day, so up and at 'em lazy daisy."
"No" he whined pulling the blanket over his face.
This isn't going to work Tony thought, it's time to get creative. He ripped the blanket off of him and pounced on him, tickling him mercilessly, making Peter shriek.
"Nohoh pleahahase"
He grappled with his hands trying to push Tony off, but the only thing that that accomplished was that his armpits were open for attack, which Tony promptly took advantage of.
He shoved his hands into Peter's armpits clawing at the sensitive flesh. Peter absolutely lost it shrieking, cackling and bucking wildly.
"Okahahay, okahahay Ihihihi'll gehehet uhuhup"
Finally, Tony stopped, letting him breath. He got of the bed and made his way to the door.
"You'll better be in the kitchen for breakfast in five minutes or I'll send Sam and Bucky after you." Tony said leaving the room.
Peter got out of bed and smiled, this was definitely not the worst way to wake up.

----------------------------------
If you asked Peter about what happens in the Stark Tower over the weekend he truly wouldn't be able to give you a straight answer. It's not that he wouldn't like to give someone an answer, it was just that the weekend was always a surpise package. Sometimes he would train with the other Avengers, other days he wasn't there to whitness the happenings, somedays he would work with Tony on projects and every now and again it was a pure game and chill weekend...
This weekend wasn't supposed to be any of that but..
He had been working on a new formula for his web fluids, seated on the couch with both legs tucked to his body. His hands were flying over the keyboard with unpracticed ease as he ignored his surroundings. He didn't mind Sam bickering with Bucky, or Steve cutting in every now again to scold them for not watching the movie they had picked out together. Nor did he mind the occasinal side eye from Clint who leaned over to silently check out his progress like a curious hamster. And he certianly didn't mind Fridays announcement.
Wait
His head snapped up when everyone looked at him „Uh.. sorry what was that Friday?“ he asked, craining his head to the ceiling and tearing his eyes from his screen for the first time the past hour.
„The Boss requests your assistance in the lab“ Friday repeated steadily but Peter could've sworn if the Ai could sound amused she definitely would be. It wasn't every day that he just wouldn't pay attention to anything and zone out into his work.. With his senses dialled to 11 it was a task almost impossible to accomplish, still sometimes miracles like today happened.
Peter saved his work, promptly jumping to his feet „Coming“ .. he sent a short wave to the others before vanishing in the hall.
The elevator ride was silent, but his thoughts were everything but.
Tony had cancelled their weekly lab time after school a few days ago because he was moving things around a little to „fit a new adittion“ to it. Whatever his mentor had meant by that..
A chime and his feet automatically moved into the forespace that parted the lab from the outside. Through the glass he could see Tony standing over a display of a new spidersuit and a spark of exitement shot through him. He sped up and jogged a little way before walking through the door „Mister Stark“ he greeted lightly as he announced his presence to his Mentor. „Hey Pete“ Tony greeted and his eyes fell to him ever so shortly before he took a step backwards from his work space and made the small hologarmm bigger.
„what do you think?“ he asked with a cheeky smile.
Peter grinned, a twinkle in his eyes already speaking for him before he had even opened his mouth „Looks great Mister Stark.“ „Glad you like it kid, though i've ran into a few issues that we need to look into“
Peter raised an eyebrow, watching as Tony moved a few screens out of the way. „We already talked about this a few days ago, but your stickiness only works if the material is thin enough.“ „so we need to test how thick the material can be?“ Peter finished for his mentor who gave an affirmative nod.
„How are we going to do that?“ „hm, come sit Pete.“ Tony said as he walked past a table, tapping it's surface with two fingers.
The younger followed the order, eyeing the table. It was huge, he could lay down on it and roll around without issue, sure his legs would be hanging off partly, but still..
His eyes moved to a box almsot overflowing with different fabrics.
„We'll use the differnt fabrics and place them between your fingers and this metal sheet.“ Tony said, catching the attention of his trainee as he walked back with the thin sheet in hand. The sheet was shimmering in the lab lights as its smooth surface refelcted it ever so slightly. Peter took it as Tony handed it to him „I want to test both your hands and your feet, just in case they end up having differencies we don't know about“ Peter nodded, that sounded logical. His feet would obviously always have more tracktion but who knew if the hairs there worked just like the ones on his hands..
„Do you think we could see that under a microscope?“
The question had tumbled out of his mouth before he had even properly registered the thought. Tony stared at him, the bafflement on his face made Peter recoil sligthly „I-I meant like hypothetically! N-not like- y'know- gosh that- i..“ an amused chuckle cut Peters fumbling off and Tony moved closer to him with a chair.
„We could, yes“ Tony mused, looking up ever so slightly to see Peters full face. „But I'm pretty sure that wouldn't be comfortable for you.“ Peter grimaced.. yeah laying under a microscope was probably not the nicest place to lay down under. „Plus, I seriously doubt it'll be of any major importance“ „hmm..“ „Of course if you're curious I can-“ „nOOooo!“ Peter interrupted, shaking his hands in front of him and his head violently to make his position incredibly clear to his mentor who seemed all too amused with his outburst. „It's fine, you're right! Plus it's not that interesting“ He laughed nervously, as he held the back of his head.
Tony tilted his head, „No? You sounded pretty interested a minute ago.“ „mister staaaark..“ „heh, okay, alright“ his mentor soothed and leaned over to grab a piece of fabric. „Let's start from the thinnest and work our way up.“ he offered the cloth to Peter who held his hand out to grab it. „so i just put it over it?“ he asked, referencing to the metal sheet in his other hand. „Pretty much, yes.“
Peter nodded, doing as told. He fit the fabric perfectly over the metal before placing his hand onto it and letting go with the other. Tony hummed, „try shaking your hand a little.“ he urged, eyes fixated on the connection between his fingers and the two items. When he shook it, a tingle of cold rushed down his palm and through his lower arm but it didn't drop. „That felt weird..“ Peter commented and took the sheets away. „Oh? How so?“ his mentor asked, his eyes locking on Peter. „Well.. it was like.. I just felt the air flow a lot better?“ he fumbled out and frowned „I guess it was like ice went down one of my nerves?“
Tony nodded „That'd make sense, your senses are dialled up significantly and the airflow is getting condensed through the gaps between your fingers“ he murmured before turning to a screen, „We'll definitely need a fabric that's warm enough for you to swing in.“ Peter eyed the fabrics next to them, that probably already divided the number of fabrics tested by two if they left out the cooler ones.
Peter grabbed the next fabric, prepping it as his mentor murmured to himself about possible improvements.
Slowly they made two piles, one that definitely didn't work and one that worked just fine.
„Alright, that was the last one. Do you need a break or can we continue?“ Tony asked as he dotted down the last few notes on his screen. Peter shook his head „We can continue“ „Then take off one of your shoes and socks please.“
Once Peter had gotten to that he found himself wrangling the fabric and the metal sheet under his foot. Tony sniggered at the sight of his trainee's rather clumsy attempts „what?“ Peter huffed, his supposedly annoyed tone getting overshadowed by his tale telling smile. „Here, let me help“ Tony offered and slid over, letting Peter drop the fabric and the metal sheet into his hands. „Ugh, I can't believe this..“ Peter groaned dramatically which gained a soft grin from his mentor. „stick to it webs.“ Tony huffed and squeezed the ankle slightly when Peter didn't latch onto the items right away „alright alright!“ the boy barked a laugh and let the experiments continue. He shook his foot and hummed „It feels like I can stick to them a lot better“ he commented, looking at Tony who nodded „that's good to know“ he said and caught peters foot again, trying to take the items from the foot, raising an eyebrow when Peter didn't let go.
„Pete?“ he asked and looked up at his trainee. The male looked at him with an almost too innocent face „what?“ „Let go.“ „I'm not holding anything.“ the teen mused, raising his hands. Tony raised an eyebrow but a smile etched itself onto his features „Sure kid, let go.“ he urged again, this time emphasised by a soft scribble to the top of the foot.
Peter gasped and flinched back with a panicked giggle „Hey!“
Tony's head snapped up at the reaction, not out of fear that he had hurt him but more out of the curiosity on why his trainee had reacted that way. „What was that?“ Peter shrugged „what was what?“
Smooth.
Tony squinted at him. „This..“ Peter squeaked and moved his leg underneath himself before Tony could even touch him and surprised by the reaction he studied the boy's features. Redded cheeks.. giddy smile and an anxious shimmer in his eyes. Tony hummed in amusement and Peter could only watch as a mischievious grin formed on his mentors face. „Right, let's continue.“
With noticable hesitation did the boy place his foot back into his mentors lap and Tony continued as usual until Peter felt himself in the clear... that's when he struck. „Ned told me something interesting yesTEHEHheHE-!“ Peter curled up in a heap at the sudden scribbles under his soles, tugging at his leg. „MIHiHIHIsTER STAHARK!“ he screeched through his hysterical laughter, shaking his head. Tony hummed „Would you like to tell me something Peter?“ he let up and let his trainee catch his breath. The male giggled loopsidedly and shook his head „Nohot reheally..“ Tony sniggered and rolled his eyes while patting the boys shin „You're aware that we'll need to test this right?“
Even to Tony himself he didn't sound serious and Peter clearly clocked it as well as his shocked glance was replaced with a playful one in an instant. „Oh yeah?“ he mused and tilted his head „Maybe if you can catch me!“ he exclaimed but yelped when Tony almost immediately grabbed him by his leg and pushed his chest to the table, followed by his hand squeezing his tigh while the other pinned the boys shoudler firmly to the table. „WohOhah! Mister- STAHARK!“ the boy yelped and kicked. Tony shook his head „Careful there! Don't kick me!“ he mused and looked at the boy who was flailing around with his hands, unsure if he wanted to fight and sit up, cover his face, try grabbing at his mentor or hit the table. „My, my Pete, don't tell me you're this ticklish everywhere“ The boy in question whined, cheeks blossoming in a red hue. Tony clearly seemed to notice as the grin turned to a smirk „I don't believe that... what would you rate this spot?“ „NoHohothing!“
„Nothing?“ Tony echoed curiously and hummed in mock ignorance „I don't know.. you're reacting quite a bit for it to be nothing..“ he shurgged „Well, guess i'll have to take measures into my own hands.“ „Ahactually mihister staHARK! HEHEY!“ the boy bucked when the hand moved to his hips, one squeeze there, then a squeeze on the other side, then a scribble on his waist. Peter squeaked at the last one and squeezed his eyes shut „MOHoHOhohove Spohots!“ he called out. Gosh he may only have been giggling but the touch at his waist had him reeling back at how much it tickled. „What? Why? I rather like this spot..“ Tony said, emphasising his statement with soft scriblles there „I don't think i've ever heard you giggle like this, you should do it more often“. Peter's ears flushed, not ony at what Tony had just said but also at his own giggles. They were highpitched and all over the place until the first hiccup preppred into them. „What was that? Think you can do that again?“ he sniggerd which earned antoher whine from the boy „Okay, okay haha“
Peter's body jumped again, the hands slowly trailed over his sides and his stomach, the distance they made was impeccably slow but the movement was quick, sending aftershocks through his spine. The funny feeling had him continously writher under Tony's fingers, and then they lifted.
Nothing happened for a good few seconds and Peter opened his eyes, regretting it immediately as the hands hovered over him „mihihister stahahark cohome on, we arent even through the farbics yehet“ he tried to reason but all reason seemed to just bounce off of the other. „hmm, we aren't through this test yet either.“ he mused and tilted his head „It'd be pretty bad if someone found out about this“ he shook his head dramtically with an almost comical worried expression.
Peter growled playfully „As if someone ever would.“ Tony raised an eyebrow „I did,“ he said as he let his hands drop. Peter screeched and sat up slightly, grabbing onto both hands... when had Tony let him go? Didn't matter! The older smirked, hands having faked the teen out and were now hovering even closer. Anticipating giggles left Peters lips and he groaned, falling back „Just do it!“ he squeaked „Your wish is my command“ „WAIT NO-HA!“
Peter bucked and kicked out, Tony that bastard hadn't gone back to his stomach, no. He had buried his hands in the hollows of Peters poor armpits. The boy threw his head back, hysterical, bubbly laughter filled the lab. Tony sniggered as he watched Peter flail and buck like a fish out of water, „You're way too ticklish for your own good bambino.“ The Peter wheezed followed by a wave of loud laughter „AHAM NOHOT!“ „Sure are, here look, if I do this..“ the hand scribbled at his waist, „NahahHAO!“ „You start giggling... or If i go here..:“ he squeezed his thigh making peter kick out like a puppy „You start getting violent“ Tony said, his voice practically dripping with playfulness. „ThAHAt'S YouHUhuHUR FAHAULT!“ Peter exclaimed which gained him a 'scolding' glance „Don't patronize the tickle monster Peter“ The boy barked a laugh and shook his head, squeezing his eyes shut for a second which proved to be a mistake as tony used it to get back to his unportected armpits „And here you turn into a fish out of water!“ Tony grinned, he wondered if the boy had even heard him under his boistrous laughter but he figured the boy knew what he'd say..
„OHOHOKAY! OHOKAY! MIHISTER STAHARK!“ The male sniggered and finally let up „you okay Pete?“ the boy in question curled up and groaned „Youhu're ruthless!“ a snort broke through Peters giggles, making him look at Tony who had a shimmer of adoration in his eyes „Didn't go too far though did I?“ Peter shook his head „I'm fineee. If I had wanted to I could've stopped you.“
Tony stared at him for a second „So you liked it?“ „WHAT?!“ Peter exclaimed and sat up in a frenzy „I never said that!“ he squeaked and Tony raised an unbelieving eyebrow „Right, and your ears are totally agreeing to your claim.“ Peter spluttered and covered them „they have nothing to do with this!“ „Heh, sure.“ „Mister Stark!“ Peter yelped and jumped form the table to follow the genius „Mhm, let's dot some things down and then take a break.“ Peter huffed at the statement and crossed his arms. Tony, without looking poked his side, making him giggle and flinch „Stop“ Tony sniggerd „Alright one more thing“ he mused and looked at Peter, waiting for permission.
Peter huffed, „Fine.“ Tony lit up and hugged Peter close „You can be so adorable“ „I am no such thiHiHihehehe!“ Peter broke down in hightpitched giggles, shoulders jumping to protect his ears and neck from the nuzzle. Tony smirked down at him „sure whatever you say...“
And if Tony found Peter more endearing by the day? Nobody's business.
I really liked this idea but idk if someone did it already. If that’s the case it was totally on accident. Anyway that’s all I don’t believe I wrote for them yet sooo… here we are! Enjoy❤️

Summery: Tony spars with Peter, until he pulls a certain trick that leaves Peter rather helpless…
It was one of those days when Tony had set time aside for Peter to work on his hand to hand combat skills. Sure, the kid had super strength and agility, but Tony was adamant that being Spider Man wasn't just about relying on webs and sarcasm. So here they were, in the middle of a makeshift training area in the Stark Tower gym, dressed in casual workout clothes, ready for a sparring session.
“You know, Mr. Stark, we could’ve done this with, like, the suits on. That would’ve made it more authentic.”
Tony smirked, stretching his arms above his head. “Kid, if you can’t handle me without the suit, what makes you think you’d stand a chance against any big bad villain? No more stalling. Let’s go.”
Peter rolled his eyes but took a fighting stance. “Alright… but don’t get offended if I go easy on you…”
Tony snorted with a raised eyebrow. “Oh yeah? And whats that supposed to mean? Think I’m too old to keep up with a quirt like you?”
Tony laughed. “Relax kid, I’m messing with you. Don’t underestimate me because you have superpowers and I’m just a simple man… who happens to be a genius… now come on let’s go…”
The sparring then began. Peter kept darting in and out of Tony’s reach, his spider sense giving him an advantage. Tony, though not enhanced, had many years of experience, as well as sharp reflexes. His movements were precise, calculated for an adult man.
They danced around the mat, Peter occasionally landing hits, while Tony worked on wearing him down.
Suddenly, Tony feigned a misstep, stumbling just enough to bait Peter in. The teenager lunged forward, and Tony took advantage of the moment, twisting around and pressing a specific spot on Peter’s shoulder.
Peter gasped, and his legs giving out beneath him as he crumpled to the floor, leaving him completely immobilized.
“What the—?!” Peter exclaimed, his eyes widening.
Tony crouched down next to him, looking amused. “Pressure point. An old trick. You’ll thank me when I teach it to you. For now, though…” He poked Peter’s arm, which remained limp and unresponsive. “You’re not going anywhere for a bit...”
Peter’s cheeks flushed. It couldn’t possibly get more humiliating than this… being immobile and helpless in front of his literal idol of all people!
“Mister Stark this is so unfair! I can’t move!”
“Exactly why it’s effective. Now, let’s see…” Tony tapped his chin thoughtfully, his gaze scanning Peter’s prone form. “What can I do with a completely helpless Spider-Kid?”
Peter’s eyes widened a bit. “Wh… what?.”
“Oh, Dont worry…” Tony assured him with a small grin. “You know I’d never seriously hurt you… but.. ” A mischievous grin spread across the billionaires face. He leaned down, and gently wiggled his fingers menacingly over Peter’s torso. “I enjoy messing with you…”
“No, no, no, no!” Peter protested, his voice rising in panic. He instinctively tried to squirm away, but he was completely immobile.
Tony’s fingers descended towards his sweater, dancing lightly over Peter’s ribs. The reaction was immediate. Peter let out a squeaky laugh, his Spidey sense going into overdrive despite the paralysis.
“Mihihister Stahahark! Nohohoho!” Peter burst out, his laughter high-pitched and uncontrollable.
Tony chuckled. “Oh, this is just gold. I didn’t realize you were this ticklish, kid. And here I thought spiders were supposed to be tough.”
Peters head shook a bit, with his neck being the only muscles on his body not paralyzed, his face turning a bit red. Tony’s fingers found a rhythm, alternating between light scribbles and firmer prods along Peter’s sides and ribs.
“Th-THIhIhIhIS IhiHiHiHiS SOHohOhoHo EHeHeeHeHEVIhIHihIL!!!” Peter managed out hysterically through uncontrollable laughter.
“You’re just the cutest giggly mess, aren’t you…” Tony teased, grinning. He was clearly enjoying himself. “Let’s see…” He shifted his attention to Peter’s stomach, his fingers spidering over the surface of his hoodie.
Peter’s laughter grew more frantic. “No! NooHoOHOhOHO!!! NOHoHoHoT THEhEHEREHeHE! PleHEheHAhAhase!” Peter squealed out in panic.
“Oh? Bad spot?” Tony teased. He pulled up Peter’s sweater slightly, exposing his belly.
“N-no! Wahahait! Dohohohont—” Peter
But it was too late. Tony’s fingers lightly scratched at Peter’s belly, and the reaction was immediate.
Peter squealed more and laughed hysterically. His head shaking. “MIHIhiHiSTEHeHer STAHaHaHaHRK!!! PLeHEHEHEHASe…”
Tony chuckled, gently scribbled all over his belly. Peter squealed and laughed, his head shaking more as it was the only thing he could move.
Tony then accidentally brushed over his belly button, making Peter shriek and laugh hysterically.
Peter’s laughter went silent for a moment before he let out a loud squeal. “STOP! STA-HAHAHARK!”
“Belly button, huh?” Tony said, grinning like Christmas had come early. “Quite the sensitive nerves here for such a small spot…” He dug his fingers in gently, circling the sensitive area and poking in directly at the center, gently wiggling his finger in.
Peter was utterly helpless, tears developing by his eyes as he laughed uncontrollably. “I CA-HAHAHANT TAKE IT!”
Tony finally took pity on him, pulling back and letting Peter catch his breath.
As the effects of the pressure point wore off, Peter sat up, glaring at Tony. “You… are… t-the wohohorst,” he panted, his hair disheveled and his face flushed.
Tony shrugged, completely unapologetic. “Maybe be a bit more aware I’m battle so this doesn’t happen, yeah?” He playfully poked Peters side, making him squeak.
“I’m never living this down, am I?”
“Not a chance, kid,” Tony said, patting him on the shoulder. “I think we can call this one another win for me. We can rematch again some other time.” He said, turning to leave the room.
Peter’s eyes widened “H-Hey! Dont just leave me like this!”
Tony chuckled as he walked away. “Don’t worry… it should ware off in a bit… although… maybe I should alert the others of your position…”
Warnings: a lot of tickling and some older brother/mentor tickling so if that’s not your thing please feel free to sit this one out
Author’s note: This is a squealing Santa fic for the lovely @inneedofsupervision I’m so sorry your gift is late but I hope I make up for the wait. I also wanted to give a massive thanks to @squealing-santa for running this event and for graciously helping me with the deadline.

The bell rang, sending chairs scuffing across the floor as students pushed their way out of the classroom. Kids pushed past him, knocking shoulders with him in the chaos as Peter waded to the back of the room.
“You don’t have to wait for me, ya know?” Ned said, roughly shoving his stuff in his folders.
Peter’s brows furrowed. He took one look at the mess on Ned’s desk and started helping him pack his things up. “Yes, I do. I’m the reason we got separated in this class, and we always walk out together.”
Ned brushed off his help, but continued shoving things away. “Aww thanks Peter.” He picked up a notebook paper that had floated down to the floor somehow. “You'd make such a good girlfriend,” he said, then frozen with the paper still between his fingers.
Peter gently pried it from his hands, sliding it into his backpack, sensing that all of the tests were starting to get to him. “Was that what you meant to say?”
Ned finally dethawed, going back to the task at hand. “We’re not acknowledging it.”
Peter chortled, fighting back a comment about the blush on his face. “Yes we are.”
Ned pointed a finger at him. “Not if you still want your christmas present.”
Peter mimicked zipping his lips, not wanting to risk losing his gift. He didn’t have to use his spidey senses to guess what it was. Ned had been dropping quote unquote hints to him about his present all week, and Peter had figured out it was legos by Wednesday.
He filed the last of Ned’s papers away, which was less of putting papers in folders, and mostly a lot of shoving. Peter didn’t even know how he managed to collect this many papers in the first place.
“You aren’t going to be able to find any of your papers when we come back from break,” Peter remarked, picking up a broken folder that was nearly split in half with all the papers inside of it.
Ned shrugged. “I’ll just throw out anything I don’t need when January comes.”
“Then get a new folder for the semester so you can break it by summer?” Peter asked, fighting back a grin. He knew he was pushing his luck with his christmas gift on the line, but Peter had a gift for him as well, and he wasn’t afraid to bargain his way back into Ned’s good graces.
“Exactly,” Ned nodded. “See, I’m glad you get it.”
Peter rolled his eyes.
“By Mr. Smith!” Peter called, waving to his teacher as they walked out the door.
“Bye boys, stay safe over break. Don’t do anything I wouldn’t do!” He said, closing the door on them on their way out.
The hallways were a mess of hustle and bustle, everyone eager to escape the building as fast as possible. With the thought of finals erased from their minds, and their warm beds waiting for them at home to catch up on some overdue sleep, no one was wasting another minute in that dreadful building.
Peter tapped the top of the frame as Ned and him pushed through the doors, letting the cold New York winter air blow into the hallways, sending Christmas lights fluttering in the breeze.
“My gift?” Peter asked, once they were outside and away from the entrance.
“I want mine first,” Ned said.
Peter cocked his head at him, a coy smile playing at his lips. “How’d you know I bought you one?”
Ned deadpanned. “Oh come on Peter, we do the same thing every year. We give each other gifts on the last day of school before break.”
Peter dropped the act. “Fine.”
He reached into his backpack and pulled out a small box covered messily in red candy cane wrapping. As he handed it to Ned he realized he’d missed a spot, and he hoped he didn’t notice.
Luckily, Ned tore it open as fast as he always did, barely noticing the wrapping before he immediately threw it away.
“Do you know what it is?” Peter asked, as Ned continued staring at it without saying anything.
Ned’s brows furrowed. “I don’t think so.”
Peter tapped on the clear box. “It’s a Palladium core I encased in resin.”
Ned’s eyes went wide. “No, it’s not-” he trailed off, but Peter nodded.
“Look at the front of it.”
Ned flipped it around and gasped, holding a hand to his mouth. “You got it signed by him?”
Peter smiled. “Yup. This is one of the ones that was inside him,” Peter stopped, holding up a finger. “Wait, not like that.”
Ned grabbed him by the shoulders. “Who cares! Peter! This is the best gift ever!”
Peter grinned even wider as his friend shook him rather aggressively, the zippers on his backpack clanging with the movement. It really hadn’t been that difficult to come by, Tony had just had to replace his, and when Peter asked about it, Tony had happily complied.
He thought it was a little weird at first, but he had just said, “kids these days” then scoffed and walked off, leaving Peter with the core.
Ned stopped shaking him, a frown overtaking his face. “Aww, but all I got you was legos.”
Peter’s face lit up at the mention. “No, are you kidding me? I’m about to get a bunch of sciency stuff from the avengers, all I want are some legos.”
“Alright, fine,” Ned groaned, handing him a bright gift bag.
Peter took it and ripped all of the tissue paper out of the bag. “Yes!” he cheered. “All I needed was the hulk to complete my set.”
Ned raised a brow. “Do the avengers ever find it weird that you collect lego figurines of them?”
Peter felt his cheeks warm. “I wouldn’t know, I’ve never told them.”
“Heard,” Ned nodded.
“Alright, see you in a few days?” Ned asked, bumping his fist against his.
Peter finished the handshake. “Yep, I’ll see you then.”
Usually the two would walk home on the last day, but this year was different. As the snow began to lightly fall over the city, Peter was headed towards the avengers tower for a few days.
Aunt May had won some sort of radio contest back in November to go on a Christmas cruise for five days. She was overjoyed, until she found out she had only been given a ticket for one person. The last thing she wanted to do was leave him alone for Christmas, stating that she would rather work double shifts at the community center for two weeks than ever even think about leaving him by himself in New York. Peter was grateful she didn’t know about his nightly patrols, fearful that she might very well have a heart attack, but he needed to come up with some way to convince her to go anyway. Peter knew she needed a break, but after almost a month of trying to reassure her he’d be fine, even he was starting to run out of ways to convince her.
Peter was ranting about it to Tony one day in the lab, and he’d offered him up a solution on a silver platter.
Apparently, as long as he was staying with the Earth’s mightiest heroes, May was willing to let him stay in New York without her. He’d still had to assure her a dozen times that he would be fine with her leaving him on christmas, but they’d managed to pull it off. Just before school that day, she’d left for the airport with her bags. She’d placed a kiss on his cheek, told him to have fun, and to text lots of pictures. She added on as she stood in the doorframe, that she wanted him to be good for Tony. Peter fought the urge to laugh, considering it would be more fitting if she told Tony to behave himself.
He’d heard rumors of Tony Stark’s infamous Christmas parties, and had been fighting the urge to ask him if he’d be invited for the last week.
The walk passed by faster than it usually did, his mind buzzing with thoughts of what he could get up to for the next five days. As he approached the tower, he looked up at the full height of it. The A was already accumulating a fair amount of snow on top of it as the gray skies above it seemed to swirl around the building.
Peter heaved in a breath before he rang the doorbell. There would be more heroes in the tower than he was used to for the next few days. Tony was inviting all kinds of people from all corners of the universe for the week. He’d already met so many of his heroes, and now he had the potential to interact with even more.He’d tried to tease it out of Tony, but he’d only held a finger to his lips and told him he’d find out eventually. However, here Peter was, and the day was finally here.
At last, he gathered up the courage to actually ring the bell, and he listened intently to the sound echoing through the first few levels of the tower.
It was always a mystery who would open the door for him at the Avengers tower. More often than not, it was Happy or Pepper, but occasionally he would get one of the other’s.
Today, he was surprised to be met with no one. The door unlocked on its own, and it just swung open, seemingly on a stray breeze. Peter walked in cautiously, his footsteps light, but nothing seemed glaringly wrong except for the mysterious door. He quietly hung his bag on the hanger Tony had drilled into the wall, and began tip toeing into the living room.
He turned the corner, peeking out from behind the door frame when he spotted Wanda, and another woman he didn’t recognize.
“Oh, hi Peter!” Wanda called. “The other’s are upstairs in various places.”
“Oh, thanks for letting me in,” he said, staying a distance away from them. They seemed to be in the middle of something before he walked in, the other person on the couch blushing furiously.
Wanda stood, placing her glass of wine on the table beside her. “Oh, I almost forgot, Spider-man this is Tele, Tele this Spider-man.” Wanda turned back to Tele. “Or I guess I should specify, this is our world's Spider-man. God, that’s going to get difficult when everyone gets here.”
At Wanda’s words, Peter’s memory came flooding back to him. “Ohhh, your Peter three’s friend.”
They nodded. “Well it’s nice to officially meet you, but Tony said I should meet him up in the lab when I get here, so I should probably go.”
“Go,” Wanda waved. “We’ll have plenty of time to catch up in the next couple days.”
Peter hoped she was right, he’d been wondering if she’d be in the tower just yet. He had heard she’d been sent on a mission with Tele, Peter three, and Natasha, and he had a lot of questions for her. The occupants of the tower didn’t always notice it, but they had a tendency of telling him things he shouldn’t necessarily know. Not that Peter was complaining, but it was funny how all of their spy training and stoic personalities all softened when they were comfortable around each other.
Peter stepped into one of the elevators and pressed the twelfth floor. It smoothly rode up the line to his floor and when the doors opened, his eyes widened at the winter wonderland in front of him.
It was like he was stepping into santa’s workshop. The billionaire had strung up garland anywhere he could without making it a fire hazard, and there were so many fairy lights strung from the ceiling that the brightness replaced the glow of the regular lab lights.
Peter walked around, taking it all in.
Stockings hung from each large piece of equipment, their names listed on each of them in glitter glue that looked like Morgan had helped. The green and red iron man suit was on display in the middle of the lab, and each of the center poles in the room were wrapped to look like candy canes.
“You like it?” Tony called from the back, his voice echoing a little with all the metal in the room.
Peter spun around, trying to observe all of it in as big of a quantity as he could. “LIke it? I think Santa Claus threw up in here.”
“That better be a compliment Parker, you know I’m not afraid to flip you to the naughty list and take away your presents.” Peter laughed, hearing the teasing in his tone. It was always a challenge when he arrived in the lab to find Tony. Some days he thought the man was purposely making a game of it, but today he found him behind a few monitors with ease.
Peter looked at the screen, leaning over Tony’s desk to look at what he’d been working on. “Funny, you’re not the first person to tell me that today.”
“Well, maybe that means you deserve it,” Tony said, tweaking his ribs.
“Hey!” Peter squeaked, puberty immediately leaving his voice.
“Hey is for horses, what’s it doing in your mouth?” Tony remarked without taking his eyes off of the monitor. Peter backed up, making sure to keep his arms close to his sides.
“What’d you call me up for? What are we working on today?” he asked eagerly.
Tony spun around towards him, looking up at him. “You, my sticky friend, are not working on anything for the next five days.”
“Mr. Stark,” Peter groaned. He could work on so many upgrades with all the time he was going to have in the tower. With no school, and no Aunt May, he had nothing stopping him.
Tony held his hands up. “No, I don’t want to hear a whining. I signed on to house a sixteen year old for a few days, not a five year old.”
Peter wanted to say that he was not acting like a five year old, but he feared that would only prove Tony’s point. However, he had never had such an ideal time to work, and he couldn’t give up on the idea that easily. “But I have so many new ideas for my suit.”
“Nope,” Tony said, dramatically popping the ‘p’. “You, my friend, are going to take a few days off, and so am I. There are people being put in place to keep an eye here on earth, and none of those people are you and me.”
“What was the point in decorating the lab then?” Peter asked.
Tony looked at him like the answer to his question was quite obvious, and Peter was reminded of how truly dramatic his mentor was.
Tony patted his back, getting to his feet. “Consider it me paying you back for that time I let you go to space.”
Peter furrowed his brows. “But you didn’t let me? I went without asking.”
Tony slowly turned to him. He stared at Peter for a moment before he started rapidly jabbing his hands into Peter’s midsection wherever he could manage. “Is this really a point you’d like to be arguing five days before Christmas, Parker?”
Peter boyishly giggled as he jumped out of the way. He should’ve known better than to nitpick Tony when he was telling a story. “Noho!”
Tony only followed the teenager, wrapping an arm around him and fluttering his fingers on his neck. “Are you sure?” he teased.
“Yes,” Peter laughed. He lightly pushed him away, taking care to not use too much of his strength considering Tony didn’t even have a suit on.
“Alright, spiderling, I believe you for now. So, are we clear about the rules with lab time?”
Peter couldn’t hide his disappointment, but he shook his head in agreement. “Yes, Mr. Stark.”
“Okay, just a couple other ground rules, and then I’ll let you go.” He clapped his hands together. “We just discussed number one, so you already know no lab time for the next five days, I want you to have some time off. Rule number two, no patrols either, it goes under the time off clause.” Peter groaned, but Tony continued on.
“Rule number three, you have to help Morgan, Pepper, and I wrap gifts because I bought too many gifts for everyone. Rule number four, you need to send your Aunt May an update at least once a day-” Peter started to protest, but Tony held a hand up.
“Ah-ah those are the rules I agreed to for taking you on. If you don’t follow them your Aunt will have my head and yours.”
Peter held his hands up. “I was gonna say that it shouldn’t be a problem because I've already texted her twice today, but okay.”
“Sure you were,” Tony chortled.
“I was!” Peter scoffed.
Tony pushed his reading glasses up on his head. “Well aren’t you nyc’s little golden boy.”
Peter paused, uncertain what to do with the comment. Luckily, Tony moved on from most things pretty quickly.
“Okay, rule number 5, no more calling me Mr. Stark. You are quite literally spending Christmas with me, don’t make it weird. Number six, no shenanigans?”
Peter cocked a brow, and Tony shrugged. “What qualifies as a shenanigan?”
He pointed a finger at him. “Don’t play dumb with me kid.”
Peter gawked at him. “I’m not, what does that mean?”
“Well I don’t want to give you an example, that’ll just give you ideas.”
Peter threw his hands up, and Tony’s facade cracked a little, no longer able to bite down on his smile. “I’m messing with you web slinger, you know I support mischief.”
He pointed a finger at Peter. “Just don’t tell Loki I said that.”
“You have my word, Mr. Stark.”
Tony glared at him and Peter took a preemptive step back. “Sorry, Tony. It’ll take a little getting used to.”
Tony began walking out of the lab, and Peter followed. When Tony came to a sudden stop, so did Peter. “Oh, also, you can come to the Christmas party, but you can’t drink.”
“Oh, come on,” Peter protested.
Tony sighed. “Alright, fine, you can have a singular drink.” Peter began uttering his thanks, and telling him about how responsible he will be, but Tony shushed him. “We’ll pretend we’re in Europe to ease my conscience. You have to promise me you won’t tell your aunt though.”
“I promise,” he agreed, eyes shining. He honestly hadn’t expected to be invited to the christmas party, let alone allowed to drink, and he wouldn’t do anything to make Tony regret it.
“Alright, good,” Tony patted him on the back. “Now be a proper teenager and go bother people or hide in your room, your pick.”
Peter laughed good naturedly, knowing Tony didn’t truly mean it. Or at least, he was fairly sure.
Tony snapped his fingers. “Oh, also if you could bother resident broody and the star spangled banner, that would be the best present you could give me. Truly priceless.”
Peter smiled, heading up the stairs, his footsteps echoing in the empty hallway. “I think I can manage that.”
Tony gave him a thumbs up and they went their separate ways. Peter was surprised he hadn’t received a lecture on gift giving, specifically, on how he should have a lack of it. Last year he had gotten Tony a singular gift for the holidays, just a simple frame of the photo of the two of them, and Tony had given him a gift for ten weeks straight to prove a point. Apparently, billionaires didn’t appreciate teenagers with limited funds using their money on them.
Peter unlocked the door to his room, and jumped on top of his soft duvet. His body went limp, the mattress soaking up every bit of his exhaustion. He sighed contentedly, his eyes fluttering shut. He would just lay here for a little bit, and then he would wander around the tower and visit with everyone else.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Peter woke up bleary eyed and still in his clothes from the day before. He rolled, trying to find where his clock was, and realized there was no more bed underneath him. His stomach lurched as his hands scrambled for purchase. He grabbed his sheets, which slowed his fall. He sighed in relief, still half delirious. He stayed there for a second, still trying to figure out what had happened when the sheets lost their hold.
He landed with a thunk and groaned in pain. Apparently, his spidey senses weren’t awake either. He wiped at his eyes, trying to make sense of everything.
He looked up at the clock on his nightstand and had to rub his eyes and read it again to make sure he was seeing correctly. Peter had woken up at nine am the next day.
He wrestled himself out of his sheets and threw them back on the bed. He cursed his teenage body mixed with a spider bite for needing so much sleep. He had probably already missed so many new arrivals while he was sleeping.
As he pulled out some clothes from his dresser, he realized there were decorations all over his room too. He must not have noticed it when he’d walked in yesterday, but someone had done up his room as well. Garland hung from each of his furniture pieces like icicles from the edge of a house, his rug had been changed out to a fluffy red and green one, and he even had some festive attire that someone had thrown in with the rest of his regular clothes.
He opted to forgo the red and green in terms of clothing for the time being. He was already likely going to be the youngest in every room, and he didn’t need everyone looking at him like a child because he was wearing an elf onesie. Besides, that would only bring more attention to him while he was trying to learn about all of the new people.
He quickly showered and threw on his clothes, absentmindedly pushed his hair back and headed out the door.
He ran down the steps at full speed towards the kitchen as his stomach growled. He couldn’t believe he’d slept so late, he’d make sure to set an alarm tomorrow. It was so stupid of him to sleep for so long.
A door clicked open in front of him, and he stopped just a few inches from where his nose would’ve collided with it.
“Little spider,” Natasha laughed, seeing him as the door shut. “Why are you in such a hurry?”
She continued walking, so Peter followed. “I accidentally fell asleep yesterday afternoon when I got home from school, and I just woke up.”
“Oh trust me, you didn’t miss much.” Natasha waved a hand. “The only person in the tower who doesn’t live here went to bed early, Steve and Bucky went on our last grocery trip till after the holidays, and Wanda made a few pie crusts.”
“I know, but-” Peter started, then stopped himself. Natasha had said he didn’t miss much, but she had been a part of this family for longer than he had. He had never spent a Christmas with the Avengers before, and it all felt so new and exciting to him. This was all old business to Natasha, she’d probably find him quite silly.
“What?” she asked, slowing down.
Peter stopped at the next landing to face her. “No, it’s probably dumb. Nevermind.”
“I’m sure it’s not dumb, come on, tell me. Or if it is dumb, then I will forget I heard anything.”
Peter’s lips twitched. “It’s just.” He sighed, but then decided he’d go for it anyway. “I’ve never been here during the holidays, and I just don’t want to miss any of it. I want to soak it all up, ya know?”
He scratched at the top of his head, but then abruptly put his hand back down, thinking the movement looked weird.
Natasha leaned against the stair railing. “Peter,” she smiled. “I was once new to this team too. I know the feeling of wanting to soak up every moment with this family. But trust me, they aren’t going anywhere, and neither are you.”
Peter smacked himself in the forehead. It had only occurred to him till after Natasha said it but it seemed obvious now. He should’ve known that she would understand. It was so silly of him to think he was the only one who had ever felt like this. Still, he knew Natasha wouldn’t take well to him opening the holiday with apologizing to her, so he moved on. “I know that, it just doesn’t feel like it.”
She placed a hand on his shoulder. “And that’s okay too. It took me a long time to get used to it.” She laughed. “Sometimes I think I’m still getting used to it. But remember, this is a marathon, not a sprint. You’re here for five whole days, don’t run yourself ragged trying to do everything.”
Peter blew a breath out, feeling a little less high strung. “Thanks Natasha.”
She squeezed his arm. “Anytime little spider.”
“Does that mean I can call you big spider?” Peter asked, now following her down the stairs.
She shook her head, chuckling. “I guess so. Just don’t ever say it in front of Clint, or I may have to kill you.”
“Noted.” Peter nodded even though she wasn’t looking at him. He wasn’t certain he would ever be brave enough to call her that to her face, but he saved it away just in case he needed it.
He entered the kitchen, counting four bodies occupying the space, and all sorts of delicious smells wafting around the area.
Natasha leaned in beside him, whispering. “Like I said, pace yourself.”
She walked off, continuing down the steps, and leaving Peter in the chaos. He stood completely still for a moment, unsure of what to do. It almost seemed like they were doing some sort of dance. Pots and pans flew above heads, spoons were passed back and forth, footsteps were carefully made around each other like they had choreographed it all in advance. Peter was worried that if he stepped in, he might throw them off rhythm.
His stomach growled angrily, reminding him that while his bite also made him able to sleep longer, it also meant he needed to eat much more.
“Guys, can I cut into the kitchen to get breakfast?” Peter yelled over simmering liquids and frying meats.
Wanda was the first to turn towards him. “Oh, morning Peter. Can I grab something for you?” She looked at the chaos surrounding her with wide eyes. “I think that would be easier at this point.”
“Yes please, if you could hand me the poptarts, I’ll get out of your hair.”
“Oh, do try the new chocolate flavored ones we got spiderling,” Thor said, turning around, whisk in hand. “They are quite delicious.”
“Yeah, I’ll have those if we’ve got ‘em.” Peter nodded. “Please,” he added on quickly.
Wanda flicked her fingers, and the pop tart box flew out of the cabinet. Peter was about to ask how she managed to direct her power so casually without hitting anyone, but then he realized the box was already in his hand.
“Hey, wait, we don’t just hand out food for free,” Bucky scoffed. “I thought we agreed the kitchen was a no touch zone when there were chefs in it.”
“Bucky, you’re making brownies. Calm down, you aren’t cooking up world peace,” Sam called out from the other side of the kitchen.
Bucky pointed a dirty spatula at him with such aggression that Peter let out a laugh. “That’s what you think, but for all you know, the moment you taste these all your problems could be cured.”
“Not unless your attitude disappears,” Sam guffawed.
Bucky rolled his eyes. “Seriously, Wanda, are you going to let this happen?”
Wanda looked about near her breaking point. “If by this you mean letting the boy eat his breakfast, then yes I do.”
Bucky groaned, and Peter couldn’t help but wonder who the teenager in the room was. “Can we at least make him help us?”
Wanda leaned against the counter, her hands on her hips. “Peter, I am currently dealing with actual children, so would you mind helping Bucky with the brownies when you’re done eating your breakfast? Steve was supposed to help him, but now none of us know where he’s got to.”
Peter nodded, shoving a poptart in his mouth. “Of course, I don’t mind helping.”
Wanda smiled fondly at him. “Thank you.” She covered the side of her mouth like it would prevent the others from hearing her as she fake whispered. “This is why you’re my favorite.”
The others protested, but she paid them no mind as she went back to her food. Peter took a few more minutes eating his fill in pop tarts until he joined Bucky in the kitchen. The sounds of automatic whisks, squeezing bottles, and bowls clanking against one another filled his ears.
“Alright, have you ever made brownies before?” Bucky asked, quite seriously.
Peter narrowed his eyes. “Yeah, who hasn’t? They come in a box.”
Bucky rolled his eyes for the second time in five minutes. “Homemade brownies Peter. Come on, who do you think I am?”
Peter held his hands up innocently. “Wasn’t trying to take away your brownie points.”
Bucky raised a brow. “Was that a pun?”
Peter tensed. “Maybe?”
He could tell Bucky was desperately trying to bite back a smile, and Peter snickered. “Alright, well, homemade brownies are a much more highly involved process.”
“Okay, so what do we need?” Peter asked, pushing his sleeves up to wash his hands.
Bucky listed off the ingredients and Peter rummaged around the kitchen to find them. However, even after five minutes of looking in the fridge, Peter couldn’t find the eggs.
He poked his head out of the fridge. “Guys, I think we’re out of eggs.”
He looked over to see Thor grimacing. “My apologies, between my breakfast this morning, and clarifying the mead, I think I used the last of them.”
Peter brushed him off, now opening the freezer. “That’s fine, we can just use applesauce.”
“No, we cannot!” Bucky protested. “It calls for eggs.”
Sam leaned around Wanda to look at them. “Barnes, have you never heard of a substitute?”
“No, you have to do the recipe exactly as it says, otherwise it won’t turn out.”
Wanda made cuckoo signs around his head, and Bucky whipped around. “What was that?”
“Nothing,” Wanda chirped, going back to whisking. She shot a wink at Peter and it took nearly all of his laughter to not burst out laughing.
Bucky threw his hands up. “What? I’m serious, you should never substitute things. It won’t turn out the same.”
Peter cocked a brow. “Didn’t you grow up during the depression?”
“Are you calling me old?” Bucky asked, his voice lilting.
Peter’s eyes went wide. “No! I mean, wouldn’t it have been common for you to have to substitute things?”
“Yes, which is why it’s not good!” Bucky nearly yelled.
Wanda stirred her soup. “My family had to substitute things all the time, and we were fine.”
Bucky crossed his arms. “And you’re telling me all of them tasted the same?”
Wanda nodded patiently. “Yes, you just have to know what you’re doing.”
Bucky crossed his arms. “Are you saying I don’t know what I’m doing?”
Wanda shrugged. “I mean, you didn’t even know that you should substitute applesauce for eggs. That’s pretty obvious, wouldn’t you agree Peter?”
Peter nodded, knowing better than to be on the opposing team of Wanda, and Tony’s earlier words playing in his mind. Bucky flicked him in the arm. “Ow,” Peter winced.
Wanda continued adding things to her soup as she spoke to Bucky. “It seems to me that this is more of a skill issue.”
Bucky sighed. “Wanda,” he said, his tone warning. Peter kept his eyes on both of them, sensing the rising tension and wondering where it would go.
“What?” she asked innocently, her eyes widened. “I think you might just be bad at baking, it’s alright, not everyone can be good at it.”
“Maximoff, I swear,” he started.
“Barnes, don’t swear in front of the kid!” she gasped, her eyes lighting up with mischief.
“Yeah!” Peter agreed indignantly.
Bucky narrowed his eyes. “He’s sixteen, he curses all the time.”
Wanda propped a hand up on her hip. “Peter, cover your ears, don’t listen to the man with the potty mouth.”
Peter followed her lead, putting his hands up on his head. “Yeah, Bucky, how dare you accuse me of such things!”
Bucky looked done with both of them. “Peter, you say shit about seventy times every time you’re in the lab.”
“How dare you! Peter would never do that!” Wanda said, looking like she was about to burst with how much laughter she was holding back.
“You know what Maximoff?” he said, his lip twitching.
She took a step closer. “What?” she asked, raising her brows. Peter backed up, having the innate sensation that one of them was going to snap and it wasn’t going to go well.
They were both perfectly still for a moment, and then Bucky struck. He grabbed her by the stomach with his metal arm, too quick for her to use her magic against him, and began scratching at her sides.
“Bucky,” she squealed, her legs kicking out at him and continually missing.
Peter did his best to fade into the shadows, suddenly forgetting his alliance. He knew how quickly the tables could turn, and how ruthless Bucky could be. Wanda hit out at his metal arm, her magic getting lost in between her laughter. “Are you going to stop giving me a hard time?” he asked.
“Nohoho,” she giggled, twitching all over the place as his fingers darted across her skin.
“Peter!” Wanda yelped. “Help me!”
Peter hesitated for a moment, but decided it would be in his best interest to keep the scarlet witch on his side.
With a quiet, “thwip!”, he webbed Bucky’s metal arm, pulling it behind his back to give Wanda an escape.
She fell to the floor in a heap of laughter, and Bucky let her go, not bothering to continue torturing her.
Peter was surprised he didn’t put up more of a fight, until he realized Bucky was slowly turning towards him.
“Wait,” Peter said, holding his hands in front of him. He had just poked a sleeping bear.
“Did you just web me?” Bucky asked, watching Peter out of the corner of his eye.
Peter could feel Thor behind him, and Sam watching the whole thing in interest now. All of his senses were suddenly alert, like he was about to go into battle. What all of his systems were currently telling him was that he needed to run, and quickly.
Without answering Bucky’s question, he leapt over the kitchen counter, sprinting towards the steps.
“Oh no you don’t, you pest,” he heard Bucky call after him.
Peter ran full force through the living room, thinking that if he could just make it to the steps and get the door shut behind him, then maybe he could make his escape.
He was a few steps away, just only a few more seconds and he would be free. His hand reached for the door, and he pushed it open. He got a foot in the door when a familiar cold arm wrapped around his middle.
“No!” Peter yelled, grabbing a hold of the door frame. He attempted to pull himself forward, but Bucky merely spidered his fingers in Peter’s armpits and he immediately lost his grip, his arms shooting down to protect himself.
Bucky threw him over his shoulder with an ease that Peter wasn’t used to.
“That’s not fair,” he protested. He tried to wiggle out of Bucky’s arms, but there was no give.
“No, what’s not fair is that you all get to act like little shits, and annoy me without any repercussions,” Bucky said, walking towards the couch.
Peter began to panic, squirming around like a bug caught in a web. He knew the moment that Bucky had him pinned he was done for.
“Bucky! Wait! We promise we won’t bother you anymore!” Peter said as a last ditch effort.
“You promise?” Bucky asked, standing directly over the couch.
“Promise.” Peter said, earnestly.
Bucky paused, beginning to set Peter down. Peter blew out a sigh of relief, then, Bucky reversed his direction and threw Peter forward onto the couch. “Too bad, I want my fun now.”
He jumped on top of him, pinning his arms above his head, and sitting on his thighs.
“Bucky, Bucky, wait!”” Peter called, nervous giggles already leaking out of him.
“Wait for what?” Bucky asked, his metal arm hovering over Peter’s stomach.
“Wanda, hELP!” Peter squealed, but was cut off as Bucky’s hand began fluttering everywhere he could reach.
“Just because you can’t bake, doesn’t mean you need to take it out on the rest of us!” Peter giggled.
“You know, I was going to take it easy on you since you just finished finals, but nevermind,” Bucky huffed. He began squeezing Peter’s ribs, softly brushing his thumb into each one.
“I take it back!” Peter wheezed, descending into frenzied cackles. It was a cruel move, targeting his ribs like that. It always sent Peter reeling, his body not knowing what to do with all of the sensations his skin was taking in, and Bucky was especially good at making him shriek.
“Oh, do you now?” Bucky teased, a terrifying smirk on his face.
“Yes!” Peter tugged at his arms in vain. It was no use, with Bucky at his full strength, and Peter weakened by his laughter, he couldn’t overpower him very easily. Still, that didn’t mean he wasn’t going to try.
“Wanda save me!” he yelled, deciding it was in his best interest to rely on someone else’s power.
Peter faintly heard the sound of a door clicking open and prayed it was Tony. He also had a tendency of tickling him, but at least maybe he would accidentally distract Bucky long enough that he could escape.
To his horror though, the worst possible person had shown up. “What’d he do this time, Buck?” Steve asked, sounding unsurprised.
“Be a little shit like usual,” Bucky shrugged.
Steve came out of his peripheral vision, and walked in front of him, briefly wiggling his fingers over his socked feet. “STEVE!” Peter yelled, kicking out as much as he could with Bucky’s weight on his legs.
“Wow, I always forget how ticklish you are,” Steve tutted, removing his hand.
“Not helping!”
Bucky tasered his sides with his fingers. “He’s not trying to, he’s on my side unlike you other assholes.”
“Wanda!” Peter tried again, sensing the team up that was about to happen.
Bucky looked up at Steve, not stopping his attack on Peter while he did. “Oh yeah, Steve, would you mind going to deal with the red head over there?”
“What did she do?” Steve asked as if there wasn’t a teenager dying of laughter right beside them.
Bucky gestured down towards him, and Peter’s face lit up red. Something about being destroyed by laughter while they held a casual conversation made the sensations so much worse. “Same as Peter.”
Steve nodded. “Ah, I see.” He began walking towards her, and though Peter knew it would only further nail his coffin shut, he yelled over at her.
“Wanda save yourself!”
Bucky cocked his head, momentarily pausing. “You really don’t give up do you?”
Peter shook his head. “Friendly neighborhood spiderman.” He smiled sheepishly.
Bucky positioned his hands atop Peter’s ribs. “Well spiderman, you are far too ticklish to be this risky.”
Peter shrugged, his eyes alight with mirth. “At least I can bake.”
Bucky deadpanned, his fingers wrapping around the backs of Peter’s ribcage. “Okay, now you’re just asking for it.”
Bucky attacked, and Peter immediately fell back into his laughter. Loud cackles burst from his mouth as Bucky squeezed higher up on his ribs.
“Peter, oh my god, stay still, I’m trying to count all of your ribs.”
“Nohoh!” Peter squealed, having played this game with Tony too many times.
“Well now we’re going to have to start all over again,” Bucky huffed, squeezing each rib from the bottom to the top. Peter was going berserk, having one of his worst spots targeted for so long. He briefly opened his eyes and saw Wanda being thrown on the couch next to him. Steve didn’t give her a chance to escape and went straight for her neck.
He screeched as Bucky reached the tops of his ribs again, praying he wouldn’t start the process all over again. However, it was only when he felt Bucky’s fingers climbing higher still that he began to panic.
“Bucky, don’t you dare!”
Bucky paused for a moment, and Peter heaved in deep breaths while he was still able to. “Oh.” Bucky leaned in, smirking in a way that Peter knew that no amount of pleading would convince him to move anywhere else.
“I dare,” he hissed, then jammed his fingers into Peter’s armpits. Peter didn’t make any noise for a moment. He dug his heels into the couch, trying to find the leverage to throw Bucky off of him, he twisted around from side to side, trying to dislodge Bucky’s fingers. He would almost get adjusted to one side, then Bucky would start tickling his other armpit. However, his body was only able to contain the noise so long, and he burst into a scream.
“Shit, shit, shit!” Peter panickedly squeaked.
Bucky turned towards the other couch. “See, Wanda? I told you he curses.”
Peter could just barely hear her screams of laughter above his own, but he could’ve sworn she told him to shut up.
“Now,” Bucky said, turning his attention back to him. “If we can just manage to convince you I can bake.”
Peter was writhing on the couch, his laughter beginning to make his abdomen hurt. Though, he was admittedly not fighting as hard as he could. “You can’t though!” he yelled out.
“Okay, seriously, does anything tire you out?” Bucky said, momentarily pausing his hands.
Peter shook his head, his hair sticking to his forehead with sweat. “You’re maybe the only person I know who’s as stubborn as that guy back there,” Bucky teased, pointing to Steve, who was currently making light work of Wanda’s giggles.
“I’ll take that as a compliment,” Peter smiled, heaving in air.
“It is one,” he smiled. He ruffled Peter’s hair gently, which Peter doubted he’d attempt if he wasn’t currently pinned underneath him. “However,” Bucky started, sitting upright. “Just like him, it’ll get you tickled a lot.”
Bucky released his arms, and Peter’s brows furrowed. He started to sit up, but Bucky had yet to get off of him. Without taking his weight off of him, he adjusted himself so he was still sitting on Peter’s legs, except he was facing the other way.
Suddenly, Peter’s face went white. “Wait, Bucky please no.”
“Can I bake, Parker?” he asked, without looking at him.
Peter sighed, laying back down so he could save some of his energy. “No,” he answered plainly.
“That’s what I thought,” Bucky sighed.
Bucky didn’t make Peter wait any longer for his payback and all ten of his fingers began dusting across his socked soles. Peter was sent into immediate hysterics. He gave up trying to plead with him, but he couldn’t stop his body from rolling around the couch as continual giggles poured from his mouth. Every so often he would snort if Bucky got him with a particularly good method, or if he would stray upwards to his toes, but Bucky continued until Peter got all of the laughter out of him.
However, once the tears started to prick at the corners of his eyes, he let up. “Have you learned anything today?” he asked, getting up and sitting next to him. Peter stayed laying down, catching his breath. He noticed that someone must have lit the fire because he could hear something crackling.
“Not much,” he breathed out.
“I figured.” Bucky patted his knee. “But I’m always happy to teach you again.”
Peter jumped up from the couch, nearly taking his shin out on the coffee table, and Bucky laughed. “Not now, I’m not cruel.”
Peter raised his brows. “Okay, I’m not that cruel,” Bucky deadpanned. Peter glared at him, though he knew he didn’t really mean it.
He sat back down next to him. “You deserve payback for that.”
Bucky bumped his shoulder against him. “I don’t think so, I didn’t start it.”
A red light flashed through the living room. “I would beg to disagree.”
Peter and Bucky turned to see Steve on the ground. “Peter, care to join me?” Wanda asked, grinning.
Bucky attempted to run, but all it took was one flick from Wanda’s wrist and he was on the ground.
“Sam help!” Bucky yelled. Sam started running towards him, but abruptly came to a stop.
Wanda held an orb of dark red power in her hand, eyeing him carefully.
He held his hands up, walking backwards towards the kitchen. “No, thank you.” He grabbed a hold of a bowl. “Someone’s gotta keep stirring your soup.”
Wanda smiled, her nose scrunching up.
“Care to humble some super soldiers for the holidays?” Wanda asked. She twisted her magic and Steve burst into bright giggles.
Peter always knew it was best to keep the scarlet witch on his side. “Absolutely,” he agreed.
The tower was filled with laughter for quite some time, and lots of threats were said with no real violence behind them. When all was said and done, Peter was absolutely certain he was in for a very interesting winter break with his family.
[Fic Reupload] - Another random 2018 fic :) Saw a new comment on AO3 and got reminded of its existence.
Summary: Tony has to deal with a sad sulky Peter in his car, and he’s not having it. He will cheer him up, he definitely will... In his own way. (Also on AO3)
Word Count: 1.8K
“Hey, kid? Come on now. We saved him together,” Tony said to the sulking teen who was sitting next to him in the car, but no positive result came from it.
Not even a tiny smile. Just everything a sulky kid could do to make an adult feel bad: arms crossed in front of his chest, hanging shoulders, hanging head, dark aura poisoning the car and a frown that looked like it could stay on his forehead forever if he wouldn’t quit this real soon.
“Pete..” Tony shook his head and uncomfortably pressed his hand against his own mouth, trying to find words to cheer him up with. It wasn’t that he could help it. Alright, just, since all the events in space, Peter vanishing and then un-vanishing and all that, just the awful fear of getting Peter in danger, losing him again, eh well yeah.
Just... Very long story short: Tony now kind of spied on him like 24/7, and if it wasn’t him it was his newest suit doing it, specially made for protecting teenage superhero sons of which he only had one.
And well, today they found Spider-Man going into some serious danger zone that definitely could not be counted as friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man activities, no like real death- danger. So yeah of course Peter couldn’t handle it, he’s good but this was real Avenger stuff. Adult Avenger with a lot of experience- stuff.
So result was that Tony had to save both Peter and the man he was saving after which Tony + Peter-Protection-Suit joined and finished the fight.
It wasn’t thanks to Peter, no, that the man got saved (well maybe indirectly because Peter’s presence lured Tony out of his lab to save them). But it also wasn’t thanks to Peter that the man who needed saving was now in the hospital with serious injury. And in a coma, minor detail.
“We caught the baddie,” Tony said, giving another attempt at cheering Peter up.
“You did.”
“...and Mr. Holt is alive and doing...uh.. maybe doing not so well, but alive. In a few weeks he’ll be awake, playing golf again, going to the zoo and all with his wife and kids.” Alright Tony wasn’t so good at this. He could see Happy frown in the rearview, confirming that he wasn’t helping.
“Suck it up Pete,” Happy said, trying to help as well. Peter just gave a long sigh and threw his head back. He then dramatically covered his face with his arms, arching his back as if he was trying to stretch out, and a groaning noise left him.
“I just wish I could save someone too,” he complained. Tony knew what that felt like, and he nodded, staring at Peter’s tummy that was left exposed because of that flexible stretch he was doing.
“Uhuh. I know, And you can. You’re... working on it. Geez kid, you’re young. Don’t make this too hard on yourself. Also, your tum is showing.” Tony poked Peter right in his belly button, causing Peter to suddenly let out a weird noise as he folded back into a normal position. Tony gaped at him, and Peter stared back, since Tony’s hand was now awkwardly trapped between Peter’s legs and torso as he bent forward with this awkward forced smile. Tony smiled back. Suuuddenly, cheering up Peter Parker seemed like it could be a lot easier.
“Can you just not...?" Peter asked him, though that little (forced) smile had to be cute of course, making it so that Tony could not resist to -
“Not what?” He moved his fingers around, just some light wiggling, and Peter was already bending even further down, crushing Tony’s hand between his body while he tried to force his own laughter back.
“Mr. S-Stark, h-hahahand... out...” he tried to warn him, but his cheeks were puffing and though his expression of held back laughter and ticklish misery was looking very weird, it was definitely better than that depressing frown.
“Hahahand out! T-tickles!” Peter said between more weird strangled noises and soft giggled. Tony raised his eyebrows.
“Not tickling you. It’s you who’s trapping my hand, not me. Ohnooo let me go~” Tony said teasingly, just moving his fingers around slightly, and he raised his other hand to push softly against Peter’s shoulder to show him he was deeefinitely trying to free his hand now.
However the moment he lifted his hand, this made Peter jump in obvious anticipation of more tickles, so Tony smiled fondly at that.
Peter just giggled softly, biting them back as much as he could, and he squirmed and tried to move his body back so Tony could get his hand outta the danger-zone, but Tony could see the hesitation on his face. Tony’s smirk was probably just making it clear that the moment he’d get his hand back, he would do much worse than this. His other hand already squeezed Peter’s shoulder tighter, showing him he had his grip on him and was not going to let him go before he was smiling genuinely.
Happy judged them from the rearview and just sighed and rolled his eyes.
“Just fucking tickle him already,” he finally said. He was kinda right, he deserved it. Tony just pulled his hand out, moved his other hand, and went straight for both Peter’s sides. Peter yelped and jumped, pulling his knees up and squirming and wriggling, but unable to fight the tickle attack.
“Ha, that’s more like it. See? I do know how to cheer people up,” Tony said proudly - both to himself, Happy and ticklish Peter - as he danced his fingers all over Peter’s sides, making him laugh and squeak.
“Nohohot helping! Ahaha Mr. Stahahark!” Peter whined. He still sounded too whiny, so Tony just exchanged glances with Happy and he shook his head in disapproval.
“Do your worst,” Happy encouraged.
“Yeah, guess I will.”
“Fuhuhuhuck!” Peter cried, and Tony looked back at him and smirked.
So that asked for a little journey upwards, past his ribs that definitely got a few squeezes, but it was Peter’s underarms that were ticklish goldmines. So Tony just shoved his hands in there and tickled Peter’s armpits mercilessly, with wiggling, scratching and digging fingers, however he pleased.
“AAHAh! Nooohohhoo! Stop-Stahahap pleaaase!” he cried, turning and twisting, but caught by his seatbelt. Tony spotted a hand- a Spider-Man hand ready to attack him, so he quickly snatched his wrist and pinned it down above Peter’s head so he had even better access to his armpit (aaand so he would not get webbed).
“Nice try kid, but hey, is that a ticklish armpit?” He knew Peter hated it when he teased him like that, which is why he obviously did it. The blush that was already covering his cheeks was suddenly ten times worse from the moment he started the childish baby-talk.
“Oh and what about here? It’s the cheer-up button that started it all!” He poked his belly button to get him by surprise, and Peter just howled with hysterical laughter.
“AHahalright! Alriiiight!” he yelled loudly. Both Happy and Tony laughed, and he finally released Peter and let him breathe. Peter just leaned down and grabbed his own stomach, catching his breath.
“So, now that you’re feeling better, let’s get some donuts and a milkshake,” Tony said, but suddenly a shoe was on his leg. He looked to his side to see Peter kicking him softly, still looking tired and breathless.
“You s-suuuck, Mr. Stark..” he wheezed. Tony raised his eyebrows, looked at Happy in pure amazement and shock, and then back at Peter. Some guts that kid had!
“You’re kidding?” he asked politely. Peter shook his head.
“No?” Tony just gasped with over-exaggerated surprise, picked up Peter’s leg that was doing the kicking (and dirtying his beloved jeans), and he pulled it on top of his lap. He then began to scribble his fingers over the back of his knee as if he was having some serious Guitar Hero showdown with Steve - well, the result was priceless.
Peter exploded with high pitched giggles, yelling in surprise that he had to stop like: “Ohhohh! Noooonono not there! S-sohorry! I didn’t mean it! Stooop! Not the- HAaahha!” Peter struggled and writhed, shaking his head hysterically and making just hilarious movements.
“That’s what I thought!” Tony said after giving him a good dose of that, and he finally let go of his leg and ruffled his hair. Peter just greedily breathed in and out, recovering from the tickle attack plus its sequel, and Tony just kept rubbing his head.
“Please don’t feel bad. I’m proud of what you did today. You may think, he’s in the hospital because of you. Well, maybe he is. But he could’ve also been dead, with baddie-bot on the loose. That is, if you hadn’t saved him, and sorta alarmed me. But... You saved him Pete, you really did. His family is thankful. And Mr. Holt is probaby thanking you too, in his coma.” Happy again looked not so happy and maybe he was right, but by now Peter was just laughing softly at Tony’s stupid attempts at cheering him up.
“All good. I am cheered up, you made sure of that,” he said tiredly, and the big smile that had been forced on his face earlier was still there. Tony smiled in relief.
“You know what really would make it better?” he added. Tony’s heart sank when Peter smirked.
“Oh seriously, fiiiine,” he finally said, and he already spread his arms to allow the kid to hug him. Yeah, Peter was a hugger. Tony not really, but he was getting there, and it was actually quite cute. Very cute. Too cute, which was why he was just not too fond of Peter hugging him. There was only a certain level of cuteness that the Spider-kid was allowed to display or it would be bad for his heart.
“Oh come on you guys,” Happy sighed at the cheesy hug on the backseat.
“Hehe,” Tony chuckled, and Peter suddenly spazzed in his arms when he squeezed both of his sides.
“Mr. Stark!” he chirped, pulling himself free and backing away. Ohhh that was a looot of energy he still had left to squeak and struggle like that.
“How long til’ those donuts?” Tony asked. Happy viewed the navigation.
“Just three more minutes.” Tony smirked wickedly at Peter, who immediately panicked, trying to climb towards the front-seat while loudly yelling: “NO! Nonono Mr. Stark - Hahahappy save me! Nooooo!”
And Tony just indulged himself in some ticklish Spiderkid for threee more cheerful minutes, resulting in a happy Happy, a happy Tony and luckily, a happy Peter. All good.
Be Careful
"Mr. Stark, I totally beat him!"
"Yeah, kid, you also could've gotten yourself killed."
"But I didn't!"
Tony sighs. Peter had snuck out and fought some villains without his permission. Tony had found out through a story on the news. Tony was worried sick about the boy, but it wasn't like he was going to admit it. Peter, of course, was never going to admit that he fell hard on the sidewalk, unable to catch himself with his webs before he hit the ground.
"Come on. Let me check you for injuries."
Peter begrudgingly decides to let Tony check him. As he worriedly checks for bruises and broken bones, his thumb slips and brushes over the kid's belly.
Peter yelped, before covering his mouth.
"What was that?" Tony asked, checking the area for a bruise or red mark. "Did I hurt you?"
"No, Mr. Stark, I'm okay, really! Okay, I'm not injured, so I can go now, right?"
"No, kid. What was that?" He brushed his finger over his belly again, this time on purpose, which made it worse. Peter let out a giggle.
That's when Tony figured it out.
"Oh. You're ticklish." Peter didn't miss the tiny smirk that crossed Tony's face.
"Mr. Stark, dohon't." Peter giggled, trying to cover his stomach with his shirt. He was already giggling with anticipation.
"I won't, I won't." Tony concedes. Peter didn't want to admit he felt a little disappointed.
Tony continued his physical exam, careful not to accidentally tickle him. Peter was fine, really. It's a bit of bruising, sure, but nothing dangerous. It was a good thing Tony had upgraded his suit the week prior to be a little thicker than before.
But, of course, Peter needed a punishment for being so deceitful and ending up in a situation where he could've gotten seriously hurt. So, Tony sighs.
"I suppose you're alright."
"Okay. Thanks, Mr. Stark-"
"Wait." Tony stops him, grabbing his wrist and pulling him closer, lifting his shirt to expose his belly. "I thought I saw a scratch right here." He punctuated his words with a gentle scratch to his belly.
"Mr. Stark! There's no scratch!" Peter jumps, barely even registering when the older grabs his other wrist as well, now holding both in one hand.
"Are you sure? Maybe it was here on this side." He uses his free hand to squeeze at Peter's other side, illiciting some squirming and giggles.
"Mr. Stahark!" Peter giggles, half-heartedly pulling at his wrists.
"What is it, kid?"
"Stohohop!"
"Stop what?"
But Peter knew that trick, and just shook his head as he laughed. Tony smirked, only digging in deeper to his tummy.
"You could've gotten hurt." Tony reminds him.
"Buhuhut- I dihihidn't!"
"You did. You've got some bruises. And it could've been so much worse. Don't put yourself in a situation like that again. Do you hear me?"
Peter nods frantically, his knees buckling under him. As this happened, the boy slowly descended to the floor.
"Say it." Tony commands. But Peter felt like he could barely speak with all the laughter. Peter shook his head no. "No? Then I guess you don't understand. I'll have to keep tickling you until you do." Tony said with faux-sympathy.
"I- I dohoho! Mr. Stahahark!" Peter pleads before Tony moves up to tickle at his armpits. Despite being Spiderman, and despite that being a very exposed spot in his line of work, it was his most ticklish spot. Peter makes a noise best described as a squeal. "WAHAHAIT!"
"Why should I wait, Parker? You have to learn that these missions are dangerous. You have to be more careful." Tony clicks his tongue. Peter was getting desperate now, basically curled up in a ball on the floor.
"I-I'LL BE CAHAREFUL! MR. STAHAHARK! PLEHEHEASE!"
Tony looked over Peter's face. It was red and split wide with a smile. He loved to see Peter smiling, it was much better than him being sad. He didn't necessarily want to let this moment go, but he decided it was for the best. After all, he was probably lacking on oxygen, and probably needed some water after this encounter. So, he slowly removed his hands from Peter.
"You okay, kid?"
"Yeah..." Peter sighs out, sucking in breath like a man starved. He looked over at Tony. "I promise I'll be more careful."
"Good." Tony nodded, then offered a hand to help him up. "Come on. Let's go get you some water."
Yeah, that was probably a good idea. Peter was so sore now, after laughing that hard with his bruises from the fall. What a good man Tony is.
