Steak Knife Caddy
Made from solid oak, finished with Rubio monocoat food safe polish.
A recent commission by Chef Christophe Lerouy. He wanted a box to hold a set of beautifully crafted steak knives. A seemingly simple, straight forward design, until you consider how the knives should be held in place without rocking side to side and front to back.
The gaps for the knives are cut at an angle to visually showcase the wooden handles. There is an option to slide the cover out and clean the inside of the box. Made from solid oak, finished with Rubio monocoat food safe polish.
Sometimes the simplest looking design may actually need a lot of fore-thought in design to compliment what it is holding.
