So is part one or my thoughts about the current spanish production of LesMis.
1) I have the world's biggest crush on Adrián Salzedos Valjean. He has an INCREDIBLE voice, and is insanely charismatic.
Valjean has some interesting tiny moments: i loved that he actually tries to give back the candlesticks to the bishop, or that he throws the first punch in the village fight.
2) he has also A LOT of chemistry with Javert. For the Valvert shippers out there: they hold hands for a little too long when Javert helps him up after the carriage crash, and their confrontation is... very physical, let's put it that way. (i really liked the Confrontation in Madrid much better than the Châtelet version).
Pitu Manubena's Javert is also very, very good.
3) i love that Fantine gets to be angry during Soñé una Vida/ I dreamed a dream
(another little detail I liked: when Fantine gets attacked by her asshole would-be suitor, some of the other women try to help her and actually fight him)
4) The Thenadiers were the only part i didn't like that much. I vastly prefer the Châtelet version here, where they're more clever and awful. Here they're mostly comic relief.
