Kyle Adams’ Grantaire is having me spend hundreds of dollars i literally don’t have

I saw Les Mis last week from good seats but I’m seeing it Again in May in those front row seats on the sides that have an obstructed view (bc I really only need to see stage right to get a good view of R ❤️)

AND as soon as I get new glasses I’m getting a rush ticket bc then it doesn’t matter where I sit

Anyways he’s literally the best Grantaire ever so I will do what I must

So, I’ve been thinking a lot about the fact that John and Samantha are leaving this summer and since they’re two of the people I’ve been attached to the longest in the Broadway (and Toronto) casts, I’d like to do something nice for them before they go. So, I thought I’d bring these back. ^_^ Only, I realized that while I already had a Grantaire pattern, I never made a Cosette one! (Or a Marius, Eponine, Gavroche, Valjean, Javert, or Bishop for that matter.) So, I enlisted ravenclawfeuilly‘s help once again, and put this together. ^_^

Cosette So, I was actually torn about how to design Cosette’s plaid. I knew I wanted to draw the color palette from her 25th anniversary costume, because I really love that costume, but beyond that, I wasn’t sure. So, I went hunting for pictures and pulled color palettes out of them. I really liked the muted one (though I wasn’t expecting it to be so muted because that dress is such a vibrant blue on stage!) and it reminded me very much of the lark that Cosette is often compared to, but those muted colors didn’t seem appropriate for Cosette, especially as she’s played by Sam. So, I found a different picture and drew out the above color palette and I like that one much better. Cosette always reads as spring and joy and brightness and laughter to me and so does this palette. So, there we go! ^_^

...now I just need to find time to buy yarn and make them! ;D
