you raise sheep???? (that sounds so cool!!! and I bet they can be really cute!!!)

I do! I’ve had sheep since March 2024. It’s been a bumpy road and can be quite difficult at times, but I love them more than anything.

This is Princess Buttercup and Percival. Princess is the wool sheep with a black face and Percy is the black hair sheep (she’s also fat and has to have a coat in the winter lol). I don’t have many photos of just the two of them, as most of my photos of my girls include Percy’s twin, Sparkle, who passed in December, and it’s still pretty hard for me to see her in photos.

I raise my sheep as bottle babies. Princess’s mother couldn’t handle three babies and Percy and Sparkle were orphaned. I prefer this because it’s a great bonding experience, even if it’s SO stressful.

They both have great personalities. They love running around on the farm and playing bonk head. They LOVE cookies. They also enjoy yelling at me when they see me.

They’re also very cuddly and will lay down next to you if you sit out in the field.

I plan on getting two more ewes in the spring. I had been wanting to have four sheep total. Bottles babies go fast, so once I start looking I’ll be on it. They’re typically cheaper than weaned lambs because, frankly, the breeders don’t want them. I got Princess for $100 and Percy and Sparkle were $75 each lol.

Gale, #2 from the ask list!

When they first started their adventure, Gale was pretty reluctant to share the “kitchen”. Yrelia offered to cook more than once because of course she did, but since it was so early in their friendship and there were no romantic feelings at that point, Gale would assure her he had it covered.

When he did finally allow her to help or cook by herself, he noted that her food was VERY simple. When she cooked meat she used simple salt and pepper and perhaps some herbs she foraged. She would also include as many vegetables as she could, which Gale was not overly fond of. It wasn’t that her food was necessarily bland, especially in their situation, but Gale didn’t find it overly appealing and much preferred his own cooking.

When they moved to Waterdeep together, he grew far more fond of her cooking. Yrelia now had many ingredients to choose from, more recipe books, and she was as able to learn from Gale and his family. Although, Gale had to come to accept that Yrelia LOVES super spicy food. He’d try to keep up with her when it came to the level of spice, but she was leagues ahead of him.

Oh, and she also still makes him eat his vegetables.

Hahaha yeah he’s my heart nose baby. It’s been a long while since I’ve posted him. His personality is sweet but gets overstimulated easily so he bite. He loves cuddles though.

But yes! Food is important to Ruby (main character) because she has food trauma actually just a lot of trauma in general so as she starts to heal and grow she eats and savors food more. Because of this she becomes a healthy weight and her skin is brighter and firmer. I have multiple scenes throughout my (very long) fic of her being happy about and because of food.

How can you like One Piece?

Story Good.

But for real, I assume this is in regards to those posts about how Oda draws women but like…it’s not like I can’t enjoy a series that has problems. I can be critical about a series and still read it.

It is frustrating that a lot of the women in the series have the same shape because Oda has proven that he can draw more than one body type (Amazon Lily for example). But it’s a series I enjoy and have enjoyed for many years. It has a good story with amazing characters where there’s no forced romance. It’s about found family tropes and “the friends we made along the way” and adventure and stupid jokes and real emotions. It’s gotten me through some really shitty times and I think everyone should give it a chance at least once because it does have an amazing world and story.

Does the way he draw women bother me? Yeah, but I’m not going to stop reading it because of that. The world is too hard to give up something that makes me happy.

Also, Nico Robin and Trafalgar Law exist so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

“Let’s do something crazy.” Ruby told Law suddenly. She had appeared in front of him as he was walking back into the sub from a nice sun nap.

Law stared at her like she was crazy. “Like?”

“Get married.”

“Goodbye.”

“Nono,” she chuckled as he caught him. “I mean like let’s do something spontaneous! Fun! Let’s dance in the rain or go on a cheese tasting journey.”

“I...don’t really want to,” he admitted. “Why do you want to all of a sudden?”

“Well, I just...enjoy doing things with you. Fun things.”

“You don’t consider reading in bed while naked fun?”

“It’s not “pow!” She shook her hands dramatically. “It’s just...Law and Ruby stuff.”

“And what’s wrong with that?” He said and wrapped his arms around her waist. “I like that stuff. It’s comfortable.”

“I suppose…” she sighed. “I like that stuff, too.” She smiled and he leaned down and kissed her.

“I’m going to lie down before dinner, I’ll see you later.”

Ruby nodded and pulled away. Law walked into the sub and only felt slightly guilty over Ruby’s disappointed face. He knew she wasn’t bored of their relationship, but maybe she just wanted a little more...oomph. They’ve done fun stuff before, but they’ve mellowed out and Law liked it that way.

He supposed they could go on more dates, though.

He was woken up from resting his eyes when he heard thunder in the distance. He sat up and stared out the open window. He could see the rain approaching them and scratched his chin. He stood up and walked out of his room and ran right into Ruby.

“Perfect, exactly who I was looking for.”

“Huh?” She said elegantly. Law grabbed her hand and led her on deck, passing by cheeky crew members.

“Law, it’s pouring!” He opened the door and pulled her out with him, she was laughing now, as the rain soaked their clothes.

“Didn’t you say you wanted to dance in the rain?”

“Do you even know how to dance?”

“Absolutely not.”

Ruby threw her head back laughing as he caught her and started to spin them around. Sure they were happy where they were and Law never wanted that to change, but if doing something crazy like dancing in the rain made her light up like this, then he supposed he could do it more often.
