No one could tell who was what in this city. There was no way to distinguish whatsoever between the supernatural and the mundane. Strolling through the wholefoods store, you might see strangers among the isles, heads dipped as they inspected an item in hand. One girl might stand out, as you walk past. Her dark hair is tied into two braids, and her shirt has the phases of the moon on it. She has a basket on one arm, full of items that are all blue, and in her free hand is a small bouquet of blue flowers.
You find yourself watching as you walk past, almost forgetting what you had come here to buy. Her broad nose and deep red lipstick have you staring, wondering-- was she a witch? or was she just a girl? You look away, reaching for the item just above you, Jello, and look back at her. Your hand remains holding the box because now she’s looking at you. You don’t look away, immediately smiling at having been caught, half intimidated half intrigued by her deep and emotive gaze. She smiles back, turning away and leaves the isle.
You take the jello off the shelf, still uncertain. Human or witch?
