Misty Day x Reader (Comfort for the gays)
When i made it inside i saw Misty laying on the bed, she smiled at me and noticed that i wasn’t feeling all that well. I was tired mentally and physically- my body felt like it would give in at any moment.
“Come here.” She smirked- motioning to herself.
"Everything sucks, nothing is getting any better." I huffed, getting into bed- Misty leaned in and brought me into an embrace. "What's the point anymore-" I complained.
"You've just gotta hold on, sweetheart." She murmured- slowly petting my hair as i got comfortable next to her on the bed.
Outside in the darkness you could hear the crickets, frogs and other noises that made up all of our nights together, the swamp was peaceful as always.
"Whenever ya feel like ya can't go on- just think about all the great things tomorrow might bring." Misty said.
I started tearing up, I loved her, and that made things harder- i wanted to wake up and enjoy everyday of my life with her- but for some reason i was still being held down by my past.
"But what if nothing changes, what if tomorrow is the same as today?" I asked her, drying my tears. "Well, we won't know that until tomorrow comes, will we?" She said, caressing my cheek.
"If we wait until tomorrow we can see for ourselfs, and if tomorrow isn't any better-." Misty stopped for a second. "And when does it get any better?" I asked her, looking up.
"When we decide to stop waiting for that day to be better and make the next day better ourselfs, even though it's hard." Misty said.
"We can't let that darkness take over- we've gotta be bigger and better than that." Misty explained.
"When i met you, i'd woken up one day and told myself that this was going to be my day." Misty smiled down at me.
"I'd been looking for something i just couldn't get- an easy way out, something that would magically fix all of my sorrow." She said.
"Can you help me make tomorrow our day?" I asked feebly. "Of course, pretty girl." Misty smiled, kissing me.
