hey does a library card count as a state id where u are
no :/ there’s a very specific list of documents they’ll accept to verify your identity. the main problem really is just filling out an i-9 to verify i’m allowed to work (the list of acceptable documents is on the last page of this pdf). the problem is even with this specific list they don’t really elaborate. for someone with limited access to these things it’s not very clear on what “counts” and who’s “eligible”
i don’t have any from column A so that means i need one from B and one from C. i can just pick up a birth certificate so that covers column C but as for column B... my best chances would be
1. a school id, which i don’t believe i have. i had one in 6th grade but i destroyed it (lmao, i used the plastic to craft something). i MAY have gotten one in the brief time i was in public highschool, but i don’t actually remember having it or know where it is if i do have one.
2. “clinic, doctor, or hospital record” - i can get one of those easily, but the wording seems to imply this is only applicable for minors. and no one will answer our phone calls so i can’t ask if it would still count, and like i said the lady at dps wouldn’t even listen to us. so i literally have no clue
you would think the easiest thing would be to apply for an ID card and use the temporary one they give me while they process my real one. but the requirements for an id card are even more strict and confusing. every website i look at and every person i talk to has a different answer on what things mean and what’s required
