All ways lead to Glasgow
Today, I started the day with a real Scottish breakfast. It also included the feares black pudding. First of all am not a pudding person and second I do not eat blood products or any organ meat. However, I felt I could not leave this country without having at least try it. The black pudding was not as awful as those blood sausages my would parents try to convince me to eat but it is not something I will order again if I have choice.. It was a hearty breakfast and exactly what I needed for the long day I had ahead of me. After leaving and paying (oops almost forgot that one - the bed and breakfast owners were not there when I arrived but had kindly informed me and left keys and WiFi passwords for me) when handing over the keys she reminded me kindly and of course I quickly paid. I noticed that people here in Scotland are very apologetic almost too much and so humble I sometimes feel the urge to tell them to please stop over apologising and be more self secured. They are very polite and super friendly and helpful Around 9.30 I hit back the road to have a look at the shore... it was not very spectacular and the rain seemed to stay on for the rest of the day. Gladly I earlier than planned to castle William. Unfortunately,, I could not find it - neither in cumnock nor new cumnock nor at glen afton. It is also rather difficult to find as the castle itself is no more there is just a big rock but historically it is important. Around 1 I had to give up and continue to Douglas to then follow Kirkmuir hill and continue on to new Lanark. It looked promising that I would still arrive in time to visit Robert Owen's new Lanark extensively. I admit I did the the 150 panels saying the road was closed but I kept on seeing people driving on the opposite lane so I thought I had be just fine. I also noticed the Qashqai pulled over and the Co driver getting directions from a farmer but still I decided to continue the route. When I see in erecting landscape I drive slow in order to be able to snap a shot in the instant. Therefore it was not surprising that the Qashqai had caught up with me and drove behind me. As the landscape got more stunning I felt it was time to pull over and let it pass so I would not obstruct them when stopping to take pictures. To my surprise they stopped right ext to me and explained that the road was closed off but that they would take a sneak way to the M8. I explained I was headed to Douglas I could not rember anymore the name of Kirkmuir so when they told me that exactly Doulas was not reachable anymore and if I could tell them were I wanted to go, they had be able to direct me in the right direction., I recalled Lesmahagow a city I saw on the Google map the evening earlier. Well, in fact I am unable to pronounce it I only get as far as Leshm... but they understood immediately and said I could follow them until the M8. So there we were a little Qasgai train driving through the most beautiful countryside and me being sad I could not stop to take pictures but I rather missed those than being stuck and lost who knows where. At the M8 the friendly couple stopped and the lady stepped out to ask if I knew now the way and asked me in her turn where I wanted to go. I still had a brain freeze and all I remembered was Lesmahagow but still unable to pronounce it. When I realized that from the highway I could not reach douglas either, I pulled over to dig out my tablet and found my notes where it said Kirkmuir then Lanark and then New lanark. I continue Ed my trip with right GPS data but as the GPS did not know new lanark I had to be a bit creative. I got lost in Lesmahagow because the GPS was acting silly. So in the end, after driving a bit lost in the industrial area of Lesmahagow I pulled out my phone to use Google maps. This is how I finally found my way through Lanark to new lanark. In the meantime, I only had half an hour left to see this site until I had to go to Kilmarnock to see the Burn's monument. I saw troon in the rain and took some pictures of the yachts thinking of outlander. I can imagine it to be a beautiful place in sunny weather and considered how it had be to have a little boat there for some time off. At the thought I had to chuckle as as a kid I hated sailing. I only got the taste to it in 2011 when I went out in the Netherlands with a whole group. Unfortunately my quest for the dragon sculpture was unfruitful as my notes said close to Stevenston beach park but a man walking his dog said it was really back in Irvine. As it was past 7.30 I really had to head to Glasgow. My apartment here is stunning. I consider moving here as I like it that much!
Making Everyone Cry
So, Rossi and some fourth year having a fight? Ha i wouldn't call it that. Rossi said a few words and the fourth year fled crying her eyes out. I knew people were scared of her but I never knew they were that scared! - Ally<3
American Girl
Soo, I see that it was Jodie's last day. Well I can't say that i said 'goodbye' to her. Quite glad to see the back of her if i'm honest, she never liked me and the feeling was mutual. Have a good time in America. Wonder what drama you'll leave behind, you always do. - Ally<3
