for exid- LE of course has her badass stage persona but when she’s off stage she’s just hyojin, solji’s baby (seriously those two feel like a married couple and the other three are their chaotic children)

Her dynamic is so good, she pulls of being a badass but when off stage, with her girls, she's just a big softie. Even Solji was gone, it really was rough for her, since the other three were just too chaotic and full of energy.

She would find feels texting for advice, wondering if she was a good enough temp leader, but getting validation from Solji was more than enough to help her push through the months.

As per her suggestion, she sat down with everyone and talked about how stressed she's can and the younger two took it to heart, promising to behave more often, even going as far as to hug her.

Hani also stepped up a bit, and LE was grateful for it.

When Solji appeared on stage that one night, all LE could do was keep digging despite the tears in her eyes. They still had a show to finish, but she wanted more than anything to just forget everything else and just hold the woman she loved on stage.

Reassurance

"Do you think it's true?" LE lifted her head from the table, absentmindedly noticing the smudge of lipstick on the wood as she turned to Solji. Her leader was leaning on the counter, scrolling through something on the communal laptop. Unshed tears were brimming in her uncovered eye (the other hidden by a gauze eyepatch). "Woah, woah, woah, back up there, darling," LE stuttered out. "What's going on? Why are you crying?" In response, Solji turned the computer towards her, looking down to hide her face. LE stood and made her way over, curious despite herself. She probably shouldn't have. What was displayed made her see red. [She should just quit!] [It's not like she's even a part of the group anymore...] [there better off w/o her] [Who even cares about her anymore?] Comment after comment flashed by LE's eyes, her grip on the countertop tightening to dangerous levels. She growled, low in her throat, her entire body taunt as a bowstring. "Who the fuck do these assholes think they are?!" she snarled, slamming her fist down on the wood. It started to hurt immediately, but she was too pissed to care. She whipped her head towards Solji, glaring at her. "You actually believe this shit? C'mon, baby, you're better than this!" Solji hesitantly looked back up, tears fully streaming down her face by this point. LE felt her anger build even further, but she pushed it away for the moment. Instead she pulled her leader into her arms, one hand moving to the back of her head to stroke her hair. Solji trembled at the contact, muffled sobs escaping her. "Solji, you know none of that is true," LE crooned, her heart breaking for her. "We love you, and you're just as much a member as any of the rest of us!" She sniffled. "R-really?" she asked, voice cracking. "Of course! It's not your fault you had to take a break, was it? No! We know, for a fact, that we'd be nowhere without you!" "Wh-what about Hani? She's the one who made us famous..." LE snorted. "And who exactly do you think taught her that? We both know it wasn't me." Solji smiled a bit, resting her head on LE's shoulder. "But-" "No," LE barked, cutting her off. Solji jumped slightly, not expecting the loud sound. "No ifs, no ands, no buts - except yours, 'cause yours is nice - we're not arguing about this anymore, got it? As soon as you're ready to go, we're gonna hit the stage again and show all these morons exactly why they're wrong! Until then, no more looking at these sites, alright? They're useless, anyways." Solji pulled back, smiling wetly at LE. LE grinned back, her anger abated for the moment. She leaned in and gave her leader a chaste kiss. "Now come on. Let's go watch Running Man. I heard Kyungri was going to be a guest this episode!" Solji let LE drag her to the den, gazing fondly at the back of her head. How had she come to have such an amazing person in her life? "LE?" "Yeah, babe?" "I love you." LE shot a smirk over her shoulder, one that promised wonderful things. "I love you, too, darling."
