This. En Magnum. A joy to meet the man behind the wines and taste the myriad of flavour compounds from its nine different, unusual and indigenous grapes. Grown at up to 650m altitude, these wines take on a freshness that still prevails over ten years later. This 2003 white, is blended from parcels-some vinified together, some separately depending on the vintage. It has delicate but pinpoint like citrus peel crunch with greater depth on the palate... like a sherbet fizz where each zing rings a different flavour. A very very good aged white wine from Le Soula, whose name means ☀️ or sunny slope in (the nearby) Basque (country), and a treat to try an aged red-made from old vine Carignan, Grenache and Syrah... too bad this one’s not (yet?) available over here (2016 is however👌🏼) . . . #sunshinewine #lesoula #frenchwine #whitewineredwine #oldvine #carignan #biodynamic #biodynamicwine #cotescatalanes #paysbasque #wine #wednesday #wonderful #drinkdifferent thanks @randrdrinkers (at Westminster) https://www.instagram.com/p/BqvdCRanf7y/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=be6itlrpo7on
