henri!!   my ride or die,  my fellow musical loving european,  my writing partner for life.   just checked my old kath blog and turns out we’ve been writing together for well over two years now  ––  whod’a thunk?!   anyway ...   you’re a wonderful friend and you’re so easy to talk to and have been since our very first conversation.   on top of just being an all around great person,  you’re also an incredible writer and you have such a grasp on every single one of your muses.   i absolutely adore writing with you and am so grateful i get to do it.   i’d follow you to the ends of the earth and that is no joke.   ily!  ( but you know already know that )  x

the mornings at river run were spent with jocasta,  meeting for breakfast in the dining room and then taking a stroll around her garden,  their conversations often revolving their shared family and brianna’s new engagement.   jocasta spoke highly of lord john,  expressing her joy  &  satisfaction at being the one who brought the two of them together.   he was a friend and trusted confidante of her father’s who she somehow had convinced to marry her,  all in a ploy to save her son’s reputation and name  –––  brianna had surprised even herself with all she would do to keep her child safe,  and without roger around to claim the child as his,  john grey was her last hope.

       ❝  lord john.  ❞       she found him out on the terrace,  leaning against the railing with a far-away look in his eyes,  his gaze directed out toward the planes of river run.   the north carolina morning sun hit him just right,  illuminating his side profile perfectly.   her fingers itched to sketch him.   a smile bloomed on her lips as she comfortably settled in by his side,  gaze moving across the planes.        ❝  good morning.  ❞
