The Shadow Pokémon they had stolen was nearly motionless in Reath's arms, exhausted and wounded after its outburst. Ferma checked her bags for potions, but found none — they'd have to go to a Pokémon Center. 

If they could avoid the new Cipher. Old Cipher most certainly hadn't liked traitors. 

"I just… I don't know how we were okay with this back then," Reath said quietly. 

Ferma nodded. They had changed, seen things from a new perspective; they now understood how wrong it had been.

"Maybe we should give it to the new snagger," she mumbled, "so he can help it."

They had wanted a better life for themselves. They had thought that siding with the most powerful faction Orre had to offer would make it possible. 

Yet now, Reath and Ferma watched the powerful be rendered powerless, the masked be unmasked and the strong be defeated, until they were left standing before the ruins that were their hopes and dreams. 

They had been wrong. This had to end. 

Cipher wasn't the first criminal organization they had joined. But it was going to be the last. 

Turning away, Reath took Ferma's hand, and together they walked out of their old life.
