one of the very cute things abt working with lesson horses in a place that sees a lot of horse girl volunteers/interns, is its very common to find random braids on the horses.
its a physical reminder of how, even when ur not there to see it, these animals are being loved and cared for, and also. bcuz ppl will usually gravitate towards braiding their "favourite" horses, its also incredibly heartwarming to see that all of the horses are equally loved.
ive found braids on my favourite horses a few times now and it always makes me so giddy to see ppl r loving them even when im not there, and i wonder if ppl feel the same when they find my braids.
#horse#horseblr#horses of tumblr#horses#equestrian#horse care#lesson horse#tbf i do think that like. if the horses with the colours that r usually the most popular were more friendly#then the scale would be tipped a bit in their favour#but safir is nothing but a big spoiled hater who only loves mommy#and mattur still thinks im scary after a few months of just coexisting#so the white boys are off the table#i bring up the volunteers/interns also bcuz only a few of the horses are reliable enough for lessons#and obviously. lesson takers are gonna love THEIR lesson horse#but the carers are able to interact with the horses who arent fit to be lesson horses and so they often bond with them#id know bcuz my group of faves is half lesson half not. LMAO
