Lessons | Closed | Hestia and Eris
“The decision is made, Hestia. I do not want to hear any argument.”
Hestia opened her mouth to continue to do just that, after spending most her summer tucked away in Ireland the last thing she wanted to do with the rest of her holiday was be tutored for her NEWT exams a full two years before she would even sit them.
“Enough. Your mother and I discussed this, and having Eris tutor you is the only reason we agreed to allow you to remain in London for the remainder of the summer holiday.”
“But..”
Her father shook his head and put his cloak on as he continued forestalling her protest, “There is nothing to discuss. She will be here in half an hour. Under no circumstances are you to leave the premises or open the door to anyone else.” He waited until she finally gave a sullen nod and then kissed her cheek and then his wife’s before dis-apparating.
Her mother gave her another stern study before she too put on her cloak. After a moment her she softened and turned back, “Try to enjoy learning from Eris. Your father says she very intelligent and talented.”
Hestia crossed her arms and leaned against the wall.
“I love you. I’ll be home around five.” Her mother sighed when she still refused to speak and then she too dis-apparated from the room.
Hestia stared at the spot she had been standing for a long minute and then pushed of the wall, “This is bollocks!” She growled at the empty air and stormed up to her room her irritation and frustration feeling as if it may make her explode. Quickly she began rummaging in her school trunk for the only relief she was able to find at the moment. However, just as her hand closed around the little knife she kept tucked away there was a knock at the door, “Bloody hell.” She muttered and shoving the knife in her pocket along side her wand she hurried to the door.
