We search for ourselves in other people, often coming up short because we have high expectations and when we hit the bottom it feels like rock bottom. Stop expecting so much from other people. Realize that no one can save you, no one can change you and no one will be exactly what you want them to be for you perhaps the way that you may want them to be. We only have control over our own actions and our own emotions and when we allow our emotions to rule us we end up in lowered states. Learn to be realistic about your expectations. I don’t know who needs to hear this but.... people aren’t always who they say they are .. Sometimes people only want to keep in touch if it benefits them. You may hear 👂 from them from time to time and they pick and choose when they want to be available, stop allowing folks to use you and waste your time.
