And comparing the good seasons to"two old guys in a room talking" like it's a bad thing. I'm an amateur genealogist and historian, I can tell you that you get two old anybodies in a room, women, men, enbies, hell parrots even, and a youngster can learn a lot of cool shit. That was what was fun about those seasons! The history, the memories, the brick-a-brack on the shelves and the details, the transportation back in time à la the smooth, erudite narration of Louis de Pointe du Lac, this was art! I mean, I thought that that was why we wrote immortal characters, because of the fantasy of finding some lost soul who remembers all of it and can tell us about it.
