i wish people would let c!niki be as pathetic as she really is in canon in fanon portrayals
like this is the women who tried to kill a teen boy with a nuke and MISSED. she is not as stone cold and badass as you think she is.

stop giving sweden points you cowards
Some characters would be a lot more interesting if they weren't so clearly the writers favorite
they should give us laissez-faire capitalism, as a treat
actually CRITICALLLLL difference in my enjoying haikyuu VS bnha is that haikyuu MANY TIMES IS LIKE "our protags can and will lose. and theyre gonna lose a LOT before theyre good" meanwhile lots of shonen suffers from "oh these characters haven't lost literally any conflict yet"
I finally figured out what bothered me about Shokugeki no Souma (I mean aside from no one trying arrest a fuckin child abuser or get said child some therapy and leaving their mental health and future in the hands of a 15-year-old rather than their adult guardians)
no one ever makes mistakes
i mean I am watching Cutthroat Kitchen and Chopped and Chopped Junior and even the best pro chefs fuck up, like, constantly. It’s watching them bounce back and deal with the crazy circumstanctes that’s the fun part
SnoS reminds me of the kind of sports manga that I avoided for the same reason - that the main characters always won ((and were often really fuckin bland) Haikyuu is one of the exceptions and it seems like more and better sports manga are coming out but that was the thing back in the day)
My creative writing professor just said that she wouldn’t encourage any of us to write a book right now because we “don’t have enough life experience.”
...Um, okay?
