so when maggie said in the early s3 episode that she was “non-white” and she was described by andrew kreisberg as “gay and latina”, what, that didn’t count? kreisberg spun this as his and berlanti’s attempt to diversify dctv and make it more reflective of today’s society by making maggie latina, even tho she’s not in the comics. that’s why to begin with everyone was super excited about her because we thought they were racebending her and then we were really disappointed to find out she is in fact white. kreisberg used the diversity card and then failed to follow through with it with the casting.

dude. this is so old. even fans of maggie and the pairing she’s a part of acknowledge that supergirl fucked up big time with the casting. or if they wanted flo so badly, she could have just been italian - like she actually is. so do yourself a fucking favour and let it go already, instead of commenting on the blog post of someone you have blocked. but this show’s Favorite Thing to do is wipe a character’s existence off the face of the planet for an ep only to plop them in the middle of the next ep’s plot, which is just a crappy disjointed way to tell a story, and also frankly???? unacceptable?????? for anyone but especially for alex danvers, kara’s sister and one half of what’s supposedly the core relationship on the show, so i’m not here for it at all
