Do you have any tips for a first time DM trying to run a magical girl campaign? Specifically which system or game would be best to use?

Depends. What kind of magical girl campaign did you want to run? Depending on what shows you’re using as your point of reference, it could run the gamut from 100% slice-of-life stuff with little or no action (e.g., Sally the Witch), to an even blend of teenage drama and gratuitous ass-kicking (e.g., classic Sailor Moon), to a series of elaborately staged setpiece battles with thinly sketched talky bits stringing them together (e.g., Senki Zesshō Symphogear); those all have pretty different needs system-wise. What did you have in mind?

Sorry of youre the wrong person to be asking about this but is it cool if we play these fan games on twitch? On one had I'd love to show these games to people and give publicity to the creators, but on the other... Nintendo 😬

Well I can’t speak for everyone, but I’ve made a few fan games and know a few other devs: Don’t worry about getting Nintendo’s attention onto a game you play, out of the hundreds of fangames there’s been maybe a half dozen that were personally noticed and shutdown. Please stream or post videos of yourself playing our games! That’s THE BEST THING!! I try to watch every video about my games, it’s insanely cool to see and the smaller games only love and appreciate it so much more ♥
