We’re not best mates. We’re just two worried parents.
Andy is in a foul mood since he is not allowed to see Katie (Jack being disappointed in him!) and grounded to top it off (focus on his school books, not Katie). Jack and Brian share a drink in the pub. Ollie and Donna want the scoop about Danny from Leticia and she basically tells them she believes that Danny is indeed gay based on some of his habits. Andy isn’t happy hearing about Jack and Brian sharing a drink and laments how seeing Katie at school is not enough 🙄.

There’s nothing to be nervous about... not with me around.
Jack admits to Diane he’s not happy with how he handled Edna and is glad to have Diane (she’s good for him and can make him smile). Andy whinges how he’s stuck at the hospital while all the other teens are at the village hall for their community service. Diane makes her own flyers in support of Jack. Viv bans herself and Bob from the pub. Eve is treated like the leper she is by the teens both at school and later at the village hall.

Jack offers to babysit baby Kirk while Cynthia and Leticia are at karaoke night in the pub.

As the parade continues, Betty does her duty of gossiping about Katie. Brian (with Robert) fumes when he overhears the gossip about his daughter. Brian confronts Katie in front of all the villagers. Jack is ready to kill Andy. Diane is furious with Viv for having started all of this so much so that she confronts ‘the silly mare’ who fights back by saying Diane ‘invented bad parenting.’ That leads to a lovely (well deserved) punch at Viv 🤣. Brian walks off when Andy and Katie admit they planned having a baby ‘for ages.’
