This is an idea I had from a poll I did on twitter about which costume cyno would wear, obviously there is more to this comic however shit happens and I haven’t finished it, hope y’all don’t mind halloween comic after halloween!
So the AU is Lisa is a student at the akademiya (about 17) and Cyno is her little brother (about 10) both were adopted by Cyrus. I wanted to explore the “protective big sister” side of Lisa which we kinda saw in the last Windblume, its a cute side from her fanon ara ara side.
thinking about pre-breach angst… only being seen as a bargaining chip to keep their asset in line; seb getting told any experiments he resists will be done to you instead. the crueler staff thank you for being so effective. youre both having a bad time.
ohhhhhh OHHHHHHH MYYYYYY GODDDDDDDDD are u TRYING to get me to add to my wip pile??? bc it's certainly working!!!!
(cw for needles and monitored isolation)
i'm imagining this is all after he gets "killed" off in public, so lets say you don't even know he's alive, too. you're just essentially kidnapped one day (~2 years after he had been "executed" btw, based on the timeline of sebastian's experimentation) by this big corporation for some bogus "criminal" reason. and they are keeping you in this separate section of the facility in a cold, white room with a bare-boned mattress, a sink and toilet (in a smaller, attached room, thank god) and a camera that's solely trained on you.
you have no idea why you're here. you have no idea what's going on. you've heard stories of corporations using their immense power to make people disappear for varying reasons. you just didn't think it would ever happen to you.
because what did you even do to deserve this?
you'd tried asking questions, of course. to the person who brings you shitty food that they shove through a flap at the bottom of the door. the occasional scientist that will enter your room and take your vitals. they never do anything more than that. they don't treat you badly, but they also don't treat you well either. you don't remember the last time you had a shower.
you find yourself glancing up to the camera occasionally. wondering why they have to monitor you constantly. it's not like you're doing anything much. all you do is sit around or pace out of sheer boredom. you're a nobody. you shouldn't even be here.
and then one day something... weird happens.
the door to your bland, little room opens and in walks two heavily-armed guards and a white-coated scientist. you stagger to your feet more out of caution than anything, lingering near the farthest wall of the room like a cornered animal. the scientist nods their head towards you, and the guards approach you to restrain you in their unrelenting grips.
you're confused, but most importantly... you're scared. because the scientist wheels in a cart from outside that's full of all kinds of instruments and tools. syringes of a clear liquid and thick needles that are nearly as long as your arm.
"wh-what are you doing?" you ask in a quavering voice. your mouth is dry, and there's this ugly, ugly feeling in your gut that something bad is about to happen. and you can't even do anything about it.
the scientist doesn't answer you. the guards holding onto you tighten their grips enough to bruise when you try to yank yourself free, then drag you closer to the cart.
you watch, numbly, as the scientist prepares a syringe and needle. it gleams wickedly in the persistent lighting from above. you try leaning back as they approach you to swipe at your upper arm with an alcohol wipe.
"hey, stop!" you bite out as you try to throw yourself back when the scientist pinches together the skin of your arm and presses forth with the needle. "what are you doing? what is that?! stop!"
and then, right as the needle is about to pierce your skin, the scientist pauses.
their free hand goes up to an earpiece you hadn't noticed in all your alarm. you are forced to stand there, breaths stilted and slightly elevated in rate, as you wait. the scientist nods to themself then suddenly backs away from you.
the confusion that washes over your features mixes in with relief and suspicion. the guards release you and leave you to stumble slightly with the sudden disappearance of their holds. they pack everything up and wheel the cart back out of the room.
you try to question what all of that had been, but the scientist only smiles at you before they close the door. and you are left alone, heart beating in your throat, as you wrap your arms around yourself and wonder what the hell had just happened.
(you don't know that the camera gives sebastian a direct view into your room whenever the scientists in charge of his experimentation want to shake him up or coerce him into following their instructions.
you don't know what it's like, for him, to watch you lean against a wall and slide wearily to the floor. hugging yourself without a single clue that you're there because of him. that he's alive, even. that you're so close to him if he could only just fucking leave.)
anyways, so sebastian's experimentation doesn't take all too long, i think, based on his in-game file. i'm imagining multiple routes after the experiment is considered a success (cuz he spends like, 10 years working for them iirc):
urbanshade lets you leave, though they keep a lowkey tab on you in case they ever require you again (in this case, they bring you back as an expendable post-breach)
urbanshade keeps you but hires (read: forces) you to work for them too. they don't tell you about sebastian.
i completely disregard the pressure timeline and make sebastian cause the breach while you're still locked up and he goes to find/release you
i think i would end up going the #1 route to intertwine everything with what i had mentioned before with reader being brought back as leverage during the breach. but i have to say, the other two are compelling in their own ways with how they could go regarding a reunion LOL
(OOC: this is going to be chaos because of the amount of confusion that'll ensue for both parties courtesy of it being cross-fandom lol)
=====
-> There's a four-member party walking around, all confused as to where they are.

(The two have gone out shopping! Just looking around at different stalls, Katana's holding all of the bags over his arm pointing out things to Hyper, while he's looking around and scanning the crowd. He ends up spotting the four first, being slightly taken aback when he sees the lack of horns on their head. Hyper lightly tugs at Katana's sleeve, grabbing the demon's attention and pulling it towards the four.)
"They look confused, don't they?"
"Yes. Do you think they're from here?? The lack of horns is... peculiar. I've never seen something breathing with a lack of them."
