I understand what you're trying to say (also hey, I read your blog sometimes because I like reading various discourse blogs without clogging my dash) but oh please reconsider your wording re the "wishes ace character was bi so they could fuck them w/o raping them" thing I'm a bi, non-ace rape survivor, one of a huge statistic of bi rape survivors bc we are considered more sexually available. It's bad to deny representation yes but this is a rhetoric that is constantly used against us

I think you’re confusing what I said. It’s not a “rhetoric”. I was pointing out that people will refuse to believe characters (or even other people) are ace in order to see the person as more sexually available to them. I would’ve said the same thing regardless of whether that idiot said they were gay, straight, pan, etc. because they’re still wrong, and insisting someone has a different orientation when they’re definitely 100% asexual has pretty transparent reasons. There’s no motivation for saying an ace person isn’t ace except to have sex with them, or other worse things.

Hey there! Got takeout lo mein and bit into a scallion which had definitely gone off. I spit it out, took a few bites of the noodles which tasted fine. Then I got distracted and let it sit for a while, and took another bite but it tasted like the bad scallion. I've taken an anti-emetic but do you think there might be a risk of food poisoning?

From one bite? No, I don’t think so. Usually food poisoning happens when you’ve eaten enough of something for there to be enough bacteria or virus in your body for your immune system to not be able to overpower it. That won’t usually happen from a bite unless there is some Serious Shit in there and I doubt it.

Homonormativity was a term coined by Susan Striker (a transgender theorist and activist) to criticize the prioritization of civil rights for gay people who tried to assimilate into heteronormativity (like marriage activism involving clearly defined heteronormative gender roles) over trans people.
