Do you think the driving home penis comic was inspired by Go Nagai, or is Go Nagai's work just constantly tapping into the emotion that naturally makes you make that face

Bravern talking about Smith: He's not the kind of man who blindly rushes in.
Smith, 24 hours later: I NEED to pilot the alien robot that sucks the soul out of its pilot. Put me in the slime cockpit right now. If I die I die
Have Bravern fans on tumblr heard about the Lewis Isami Smith name acrostic yet
If you put Isami in the middle of Lewis and Smith (as written in Japanese), it reads correctly both horizontally vertically
ルイス
イサミ
スミス
What did they mean by this?
[laugh track]
In addition to being t4t, Izana and Yuhata are also cwwma4cwwma (cyborg with weird mechanical arm for cyborg with weird mechanical arm)
You know, the subs translate that bit toward the end of the fight— where Cunus is talking about why she picked Smith— as if she's talking about her own deep feelings that she has always had, but when I look at twitter discussion in Japanese, a lot of them seem to be interpreting it as her talking about something that Smith desires.
I kept seeing speculation about 'what Smith is hiding' / 'Smith's true desires' and going ???? because the TL does not convey even a hint of that being a thing. But Japanese can drop the subject of a sentence and just let it be inferred, so...
My favourite reaction to the "In Japan, they call this omiai" title drop is people being like "No we don't"
For those of you who are not following me on bad website twitter, yesterday I watched the Shuichi Ikeda live performance where he narrates the history of the Universal Century as Char.
It's the original audio source for of one of my favourite Gundam-related youtube videos, "Death of Char Aznable, Birth of Full Frontal":
Unfortunately, I'm pretty sure this is the only part of it that has been subbed in English. The full thing is available to watch on niconico if you know Japanese, though! Or if you just want to listen to Char's voice set to music for an hour or two, interspersed with clips from classic Gundam.
Ikeda narrates through 0079, Zeta, and CCA, up to the start of Unicorn when he transitions to speaking as Frontal. When he's done, the video ends with a little Unicorn montage set to music.
赤の肖像 ~シャア、そしてフロンタルへ 1/5 [アニメ] 2/5→sm23475138、3/5→sm23475365、4/5→sm23475606、5/5→sm23475626
This is part one of five. If you're unfamiliar with nicovideo's layout, the links to the other parts are in the description under the video title. It's above the video on desktop, below on mobile.
