🏳️🌈 Happy Pride Month y'all!! 🏳️🌈 Hope you are having an amazing Sunday.🌺 So, I finished this one reading reading pretty recently. After reading Radio Silence I wanted to read more books with asexual representation. So Let's talk about love is my second, and became absolutely one of my favorites because it's so intersectional and has such a good perspective to offer. ~Summary : What’s it feel like to be in the closet… sort of. Well, Alice Johnson knows all about it and certainly knows the ups and downs when it comes to being Asexual. In Claire Kann’s debut novel, Kann creates the main character Alice, a young black woman who identifies as biromantic asexual, who explores her identity as well as what it means to love. Alice lives her life with her 2 best friends as well as her love of pop culture and all things aesthetic and cute, including a guy named Takumi (who flips her life in every which way possible). This novel is heartfelt yet, filled with humor and definitely had me rolling around my bed in cuteness overload around 500 times. Most importantly, it resonated a lot for someone who is on his/her journey to finding her/himself and hoping to be understood in a world were Asexuality is a shaky topic even within the LGBT community. Overall, I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to learn about what it means to be Ace and understand a little bit about what it feels like to be one. Especially in a world where sexual attraction is really emphasized when it comes to being in love.
