【Visual Concept】 This year's theme of PLEATS PLEASE is “VITAMIN.” We came up with various shapes of vegetables and fruits made from pleats. Colorful and fun in a variety of forms, vegetables and fruits give us nutrition and energy. They are the very essence of PLEATS PLEASE ISSEY MIYAKE. Sometimes I forget what a sandwich can mean to me. Its a Monday morning, the weekend has flown by and I am preparing myself mentally for the week ahead. It reaches 11 o'clock, I cant wait any longer to dig in to whatever glorious sandwich has been provided me today. I looked in my bag, no sandwich bag... but tin foil, got to keep that sandwich fresh. It couldn't have been more perfect. Soft oatmeal bread (I still would prefer white bread) that was not dry with more butter than usual. This extra coating of butter was needed to counteract the density of this bread. Similar to my previous sandwiches the classic cucumber, salad and ham. BUT WAIT what is this, CHEESE!!! either by some divine way my sandwich maker has read my mind or read through this blog. I have been waiting this moment to come for a while!  Furthermore, this is no red lester or chedder, its edam! my favourite! So here are the ratings:

butter to bread ratio: 50/50 - more than usual but perfect for bread

multiple filling ratio: 70:30 - im a big cheese guy.

complexity of sandwich: 8/10

moistness: 8/10 - slightly dry but not anything major

presentation: 9/10

overall taste: 9/10
