You know that old story of comic book artists drawing Power Girl's boobs bigger and bigger until someone told them to stop? I think something along those lines is happening with Batroc's accent. It's just getting more and more absurd in writing until someone tells the letterer to knock it off.

I started this one on the tablet, came back to the paper to straight the ideas, and then back to the tablet haha Sadly I forgot to save the first draft made.

The word "front" on this one was the most difficult part of any lettering I've made so far (the second place goes to "self-esteem" on the Halsey’s quote posted on January 16 lol)

Happy 70th birthday to John Workman, Heavy Metal’s art director from 1978-84. John is a great artist in his own right, often providing spot illustrations as needed, and contributing some short features — here’s a panel from B.J. Butterfly, from our April 1983 issue. And for those of you wondering — yes, this is the same John Workman who served as letterer for several mainstream titles, including @walter.simonson.5 run on Thor, and @grant.morrison Doom Patrol.
