Dear mom,

I’m kind of sad that I never got to know you, though I am very happy that you left me with my dads. You could not have picked a better, more music- and love- filled home to leave me to.

A part of me has always wanted to know you. Where are you from? What do you look like? Are you as talented a singer as me, or was that inherited from my father? Who is my father? How did you two meet?

I’ve always had these questions, and I know I could have asked my dads but... I never wanted them to think they weren’t enough for me. And another part of me has been weary at the thought of meeting you because I would have to hide such a huge, important part of my life from you.

And I guess another part of me has always wondered why you didn’t want m|

Dear Blaine Anderson

Dear Blaine Anderson,

I am so, so happy that one of the most talented music witches at NYADA, (next to me, obviously) just so happens to be one of my best friends. I admire your optimism, your strength and your loyalty towards your friends. Coming to NYADA, I never thought I would call a Bloodline my friend, but you and many others have challenged that perception, and I’m infinitely glad for it.

Though I do worry about you and I wish you would speak to me about what’s been bothering you, but I don’t know how to broach the subject without making you upset. I just want you to be happy...

I hope that we keep getting to know each other in the same way we have been this past summer and I look forward to many, many NYADA Players duets with you.

Dear Miss Barbra Streisand,

Thank you so much for being my inspiration. Every morning, I wake up and repeat one of your many amazing mottos to myself: “there are no mistakes, just lessons to be learned.” It helps me get through my day and I know that no matter what happens, it was meant to happen and teach me something.

I am really glad that growing up, I had a role model like you who always stayed true to herself and her heritage while still having a bit of a rebellious side. I know that without you I wouldn’t have had the courage to move all the way out to New York to attend NYADA, and for that I also thank you.  I know that all the lessons you’ve taught me will help me on my journey to achieving my dreams.

Thank you for giving a little girl in Ohio the strength to dream big.

I am still disgusted by the fact you thought you could touch my sister and get away with it. Not only has she refused your advances but my family has refused you as well. 

You think just because you are the Daimyo’s favoured samurai you could just take anything you want by force. You are no bushi, you have no honor.

While I am unsure if you deserved a death by my spear, I know that you certainly didn’t deserve to live.
