○ He’s bad at taking care of himself. Some of this stems from being bullied as well, with subconscious feelings of it not mattering what he does with his looks, or deserving t be taken care of. The rest of it is him just not thinking to do things. Midoriya forgets to eat and drink on a daily basis honestly
○ Midoriya doesn’t brush his hair. At all. He might run a few fingers through it in the morning but he’s long since given up on trying to make it look nice. When he was a kid his mother would fight with it for hours to try to get it into some sort of style but it never worked
○ He also can’t cook to save his life. His mother’s always done that kind of thing for him and while he did help her out as a kid he never really learned how to do things properly and isn’t currently focused enough to learn. He literally doesn’t quite grasp how to make scrambled eggs
○ He tries to call his mother at least once a week to tell her everything that’s going on and assure her that he’s doing ok. He forgets sometimes in his first year and a half at UA but the older he gets the better he gets at remembering. Even as an adult he calls her often to check on her and catch up
○ Midoriya is so sentimental. Like, he’ll still have the amusement park pass he bought to take his s/o on their very first date on their twentieth anniversary. He keeps a lot of things that remind him of good times or things he cares about and he’s prone to tearing up when he goes through them. Hell, a good home cooked meal that reminds him of his mom is enough to have Midoriya wiping at his eyes
○ He’s really shy about nudity. Whether it’s someone else undressing in front of him or him needing to undress in front of someone else (especially the latter) Midoriya gets super uncomfortable. However, his nerdy side overpowers his shy side and sometimes, if he’s in the middle of training or watching a pro, he doesn’t even notice and exposed skin because he’s too focused on what’s going on
○ He likes hard rock music. There isn’t a lot of music that he really dislikes, but rock and metal are actually his favourites
○ Lowkey a meme master. It’s not as obvious as it is with Denki or some of the others and Midoriya doesn’t show it off a lot but he knows. That drama squirrel thing and lolcats to ‘if you play _ at exactly _ on Dec 31′ he knows them all
○ Midoriya actually has a decent following on a few hero-centric forum sites. He doesn’t post a whole lot of original content, except sometimes gushing about how cool a hero was, but he leaves really insightful comments on other people’s posts from time to time
○ He really likes reptiles actually. He just loves them. He knows a lot about them too, as he went through a fanatic phase in middle school. If he had the time and space he’d get a bearded dragon
