Oh dear! I am sorry to hear about your health issues! In case you have not already done so, take a hot shower if you can and elevate those legs. That may help alleviate some of the swelling. Get well soon!
Oh, I have. Down side is, the left knee has been like this for.. about 2-3 months now? There's meniscus damage and they don't know the cause of the swelling, but I'm not in a brace or on crutches or receiving treatment for any kind. I'm gonna try to call in a sameday appt. tomorrow and hobble my ass there, racing heartbeat at all, and say "HEY, OKAY, THE ONLY RELIABLE FORM OF MOVING FROM POINT A TO POINT B IS GIVIN' OUT NOW, FOCUS."
Oh man, that must sound pretty damn weird to somebody who isn't in a doll hobby! In dolls with rooted hair (not sure on plastic animals like horses and such), the inside of the head has glue applied to it to keep the hairs from falling out. I'm not super knowledgeable on the subject (some doll collectors know a lot more about the assembly process than I do), but as I understand it depending on the glue used during a doll's assembly certain doll lines are more prone to the glue seeping out onto the hairs through the openings they're rooted through than others. This is what I was talking about; not the glue being there, but it getting all over the place.
Monster High - and Ever After High too now, apparently, are big offenders for this, but I think it depends also on where a doll is assembled. Indonesian Mattel factories apparently have more consistent problems with head glue seepage, though I have heard it is different for factories elsewhere. I'm not sure if the seepage problem is caused by the application of the glue, the consistency/kind of glue used, whether it's a temperature of the glue thing, or if it's caused by hot temperatures during transport melting the glue after it's been applied.
The plastic tabs that attach a doll's head to its box to keep it from rattling around exacerbate this problem, as this only creates even more holes for the glue to seep through. I've opened MH dolls where areas of the cardboard packaging around the head are stained through from so much glue oozing through the tabs alone. And once it gets in the hair it makes the fibers greasy, filmy, and sometimes brittle to the touch. Many doll collectors will boil the hair of glue-ridden dolls by sticking the doll's head and hair into a pot of hot water to loosen and remove the glue. Actually, cheriiredmoon and I did this a few days ago to get a positively stupid excess of gel from a BJD wig, and it worked very well!
The doll head tabs as previously mentioned often make glue seepage worse, but what I don't understand is this: The EAH girls, or Cerise at least, come with a plastic insert to shield the face, presumably to prevent the paint smearing problems of contact with the outer plastic like MH dolls get so often. So at this point I'm not even sure I really see the point of keeping the tabs, it's overkill.
Jesus christ I just wrote four paragraphs about glue and plastic. I am a nerrrrrrd.
leucomaines said: I don’t know if that is a rhetorical question, but the most likely reason there is so much Loki as of late is that Ragnarok is to happen on February 22, 2014. Thus, many have chosen to dedicate the whole month to Loki.
Oh. thanks for answering! it was pretty rhetorical, yeah, but thanks for telling me there's actually some meaning behind it! :3 that's good to know.
n__n welcome home *sets out pizza and nutella cookie sanwiches* How was work? I hope that your boss recognized your value in the form of a new years bonus. After all…the children…

leucomaines answered your question: If I see one more person making light of that...
I dont watch the show, but saw some of that scene thanks to Tumblr. The conversation restart literally gave me shivers it was so perfect!
That you get it, without even having the 2 and 1/2 seasons of seeing Kurt continually be down on himself in favor of his mediocre boyfriend is amazing. <3
