i finally own a long-sleeved turtleneck shirt and am feeling pretty great about it if also slightly conflicted, though not for the right reason, which would be about the shoulder seams. (which i admit are slightly off, though they look worse in this photo than irl)
the higher the neck of the shirt i’m wearing the safer it feels, which makes this seem like the natural next step, and i think it is, although at the same time it absolutely makes me nervous to have an uninterrupted expanse of fabric all across my upper body-- i think because it gives me less leeway with how i frame my hair? if i’m not being Femininely Attractive by exposing my collarbone to attacks by mountain lions, then my hair has to be much smaller and sleeker and more ~~maintained, because, uh, visual balance and the prison of external perception
