Despite your best effort to pretend you saw nothing in Levi’s private room during your brief tea set delivery mission, curiosity won in the end.

“Why is Eren Jaeger asleep in here?” you asked.

There was no chance of mistaking Eren for anyone else. Even without seeing those bright eyes of his, he was easy to identify. Since the age of 16, there wasn’t a barber’s chair within the walls that had held his weight. Two years later, his long hair paired with his coveted naturally tan skin was a combination unique to Eren among the military.

“He’s resting,” said Levi. “Rest is crucial for a soldier to perform at their best.”

2:30 in the afternoon isn’t an uncommon time for one to enjoy a refreshing nap on a sofa or even on a bed. Being in the bed at this time, with the bedclothes clearly disturbed, isn’t such a common practice as far as you knew. It was also clear that Eren wasn’t wearing a shirt, and you could make no assumptions about the presence of any clothing hidden by the covers.

“Am I going to die now?” you ask, partly joking.
