Week 47.4/52: November 20th - November 26th 2023 | Malatang!

Reunited with Jerry again, yay! Had a huge gap between meeting because there was a long weekend where he went back home and then I was sick the weekend after. It is my last weekend in Calgs so we panicked and tried to hang out as much as possible. Jerry came straight to me after work LMAO and it was right after my shift too. Perks of AM shifts. First stop was Calan Beef Noodle. I got their 大盘鸡 noodle... very nice. Authentic asf. Second stop was Sugar Marmalade. I finally went after it being on our list for years. Got another grass jelly x taro balls dessert. I love it. So sweet though. Day 2, we went to eat Malatang at Spice & Aroma. Very standard malatang taste... I don't LIKE malatang that much I should stop trying to eat it LMAO. Ended off the day with KOI fleshy green grapes with their super yummy cheese cream. I drank that in 2 seconds. Always love love love our hangouts!

Day 14/366: January 14th 2024 | Xiaolongkan with Vicky 🌶️

Me eating hot pot, what a surprise. Our first hang out of the year! I love XLK so much. It truly is my favourite restaurant and meal ever. We ordered medium spicy pot with chicken feet, tripe, beef, potato noodles, sweet potato noodles, and shrimp paste. I also ate a lot of side dish radish and about 100 melons from the sauce bar. Managed to get us 20% off so yay!

Week 52.2/52: December 25th - December 31st 2023 | Boxing Day 🛍️  Bf found a new fire noodle flavour at T&T! Yakisoba buldak. This was very sweet and not spicy. I didn't enjoy it very much :'( maybe will try again another time. Spent rest of day hanging out with him inside and then we went to downtown at the end of day to look at some stores hehehe.

Week 49.5/52: December 4th - December 10th 2023 | 花胶鸡火锅 🐔

Same day as last post but dinner time with parents and our family guest hhhh. Went to eat at Round Pot for their chicken soup hot pot. I love it but I was still very full from lunch AYCE bbq. However I still ate a good amount of food. I love the soup!!! Had to wait around 30-40 minutes to get in but all worth it because it gave me even more time to digest lunch LMFAO.

Week 47.2/52: November 20th - November 26th 2023 | Boo's Door 🚪

Two days off in a row! Time for me to go crazy. Haven't had this luxury in MONTHS. Day one, went to Oppa BBQ for AYCE with team. Food was decent. I liked their rice cakes, fried rice, and the pork belly (the only meat I truly enjoyed). Rice balls were good too. IDK if it is worth the price but I am glad I got to try it. We went in depth about KPOP discussions this meal XD

Day 2, had to go drop off/pick up gear from repair dude... so technically was working ;^; went to visit Boo's Door after and it's so cute! You really do find the cutest, most unexpected things in Calgary. Went to Peter's after for lunch :> I just don't like their burgers as much anymore after eating In N Out. Time to switch to their poutine or hot dogs. For dinner, had $6 miso ramen from Tokyo Street Market. The place is super aesthetic, and the cheap deal is a plus.

Week 44.5/52: October 30th - November 5th 2023 | Transported to Korea? 🇰🇷

After Mama Dessert, we went to Calgary's location of Life 4 Cut. The worker there was so helpful and nice! Jerry's choice of props is... interesting... :') I love Korean photobooths! My new obsession but no one is surprised because I used to be purikura's biggest fan back in the day. We went to eat dinner at One Way Seoul Pocha. They told me it was just a 15 minute wait but we ended up waiting at the front for over an hour. Passed by fast though because I was editing photos and laughing with Jerry over my recently used emojis LMFAO. Time flies when you are having fun. We ordered spicy chicken feet stew and rice balls. Only was given one glove to make the rice balls so none of the balls be looking like balls. Everything was super yum though... didn't have much appetite until this day so I wasn't able to eat much. Thankfully Jerry finished everything like a champ.

Week 42.2/52: October 16th - October 22nd 2023 | 11AM Tea House 🍵

A cold rainy autumn day but wanted to meet Vicky for some quick bbt so decided to meet at 11AM tea house. I tried their pineapple plum lime sparkling water. Actually solid. I just enjoyed eating all the fruits at the end LMAO. I also really like plum. Also played with my Fujifilm with free focus lens. Pretty nice! $26 worth?

Week 24.2/52: June 12th - June 18th 2023 | Hai Di Lao 🍅

Long time no hot pot! HDL is always so filling as usual. I still don't really know my way around my new camera... barely had time to play with it since I got it last week but hopefully I will become more familiar with it this summer break. Tried the new tom yum soup base and it was so good - I love the lemon taste. Also tried the watermelon yakult drink. Really pretty and yum. Also the snacks in the waiting area are SOOOO good HAHAHHAHAHAA 😭😭😭
