don't look back, Gajevy =)
This wasn’t worth the wait Im sorry but I hope you like it
Her mind was blank as she kept running, ignoring how her feet hurt, how sharp the rocks were and whatnot on the ground, how it hurt as her feet slammed on the cold ground. All that matter was to push forward, faster even as her eyes hurt and body ached.
Hating herself with every push, with every step, her arms holding each other tightly, as if back some emotion or feeling, wondering just whys he listened to him this time. Why she felt the need to look back, to stop, to make sure he was okay. Because he had to be okay and if she looked it would be easier, the guilt would lesson and she would see him, a glimpse to know he was still there, still fighting.
But she didn’t, her words, deep and harsh echoing in her mind “don’t you look back, levy.” Blood on the side of his mouth, as he turned away from her, No words for a fight, or any kind of discussion, only his hand pushing her forward, away from him as he screamed “now!” and she was off.
Levy, for that moment, wanted to laugh at the cruel reality, that if it was a book it was a perfect parallel almost to that time…..but that was only it, a memory and now was now in a world where everyone died. And a world where Levy ran forward…but she stopped, suddenly, slowly on top of a small hill, her body shaking from the cold, her dress wet with someone’s blood, and something warm and sticky on the side of Levy’s face and forehead, but she didn’t dare touch it as she slowly turned around and looked.
Gajeel wasn’t coming and the dragon was still there.
