Ok but on the topic of stupid anons, i got an anon ask just literally saying "that screen shot doesn't show displeasure" and i was so fucking confused for a few minutes ?? Before remembering i made a meme with a screen shot of Kawakami looking annoyed at Ren and that's what they were referring to.

Yeah, they really like to claim how nothing Kawakami does shows her ‘displeasure’.

I was under the impression that Kawakami wasn’t a maid because she wanted to be - but because she had to be - but I guess I will never understand her character, huh? 

Don’t bother arguing or even trying to explain yourself to those Kawakami fans (and those parts of the fandom in general :/) - they probably only see her as a ‘waifu’ so she has to love everything she does or something. And apparently no one can even make a meme out of the faces she makes (if there is one thing I can say about her, it’s that she has some of the best expressions among P5 characters… aside from her very cutesy ones which creep me out a bit, not gonna lie :D)

At this point, I’m just waiting on PQ2 news and maybe other spin-off announcements and trying to ignore that part of the fandom ^^ :D

(Like, I know most of my opinions are unpopular but I can’t really force myself to like the ‘popular’ ones, either… now can I? :/ … that’s why I don’t get those anons but I digress :D)

I think it comes from the lyrics and how they’re written to express a feeling of resignation + regret + a sort of.. flippant bitterness/acceptance of his failures. These lyrics are a tangle of emotions and thoughts that overlap and instead of contradict, simply show just how knotted up someone can be when they’re confused, lonely, and angry.

For example:

When I keep saying that I’m looking for an empty spaceOh, I’m wishing you’re hereBut I’m wishing you’re gone

I have felt this exact same damn feeling so many times to certain people in my life. I want to be alone but I don’t want to be left alone. I want someone to be here by my side but I don’t want them to invade my personal space or touch me or just… do anything. I just want to have them there as company.

This internal struggle of what the singer wants/needs continues right up through the song, until the very last lines:

From the second that I was born it seems I had a loaded gunAnd then I shot, shot, shot a hole through everything I lovedOh, I shot, shot, shot a hole through every single thing that I loved

And this really needs no explanation, I think.

I’m also intrigued by the idea of “Shots” being a layered meaning. Shots clearly referring to all the things the singer destroyed, but also meaning chances, opportunities, etc.

Tbh i agree with your disliking of Makoto. Out of all characters she had the most awkward party joining that was very easily avoidable ? Her social link didn't attract me at all, so i ended up only doing rank one and two lmao

A part of me can't wait till Sae's dungeon so we get to see Goro showing his smarts and the other part of me is really fucking dreading it because of all the crosstagged discourse it will revive and / or spawn,,,,

Yeah… this is why I never go into the tags no matter what fandom I’m in. Any content I get is reblogged from blogs I already know are good/discourse free. So that’d be my recommendation: avoid the tags.
