And I think it’s very true that many people (especially people on Twitter) refuse to look closer at shiv and always seem to repeat the same thing over and over (pathetic, flop, fake, stupid) and they see her the same way Kendall and her family does ‘you’re only important because you’re a girl’. To them she isn’t as worthy of analysis like Kendall, Roman, Logan, Tom because to them she simply serves as an obstacle in these men’s story. It’s also interesting I feel like when it comes to shiv people always love to take words other characters have called her and act like it’s from an impartial objective point of view not from a character with their own motivations. And like it’s ok to agree with these assessments if that’s what you believe but when episode after episode people keep repeating the same thing over and over about shiv without any regard to the journey she’s been going on in the last few episodes like ???

Hey! Top 5 underrated movies, Top 5 actresses, Top 5 off-screen relationships

Top 5 underrated movies:

1. Treasure Planet

This is honestly in my top 5 favorite Disney movies. The animation is stunning, the characters and story is great, and it has one of the best musical sequences I've seen in a movie ever. (The 'I'm still here' scene). The relationship between Jim and John Silver in this adaption of Treasure Island is in imo one of the best platonic relationships ever created by Disney and, especially coming from a kid's movie, both have great individual character arcs. I heard that Disney was originally planning on making this into a trilogy with two sequels and i'll forever be sad that this movie flopped at the box-office and it ended up not happening. (Though then again they were also apparently planning on giving Jim a female love interest in the sequel and....gay Jim rights).

2. Aquamarine

I love mermaids and I love how this movie focused on the relationship between three main female characters. And while there is some kind of romance between Aqua and a male character, it's ultimately very much a side plot. In the end the story was about the love and friendship between Aqua, Claire, and Hailey. A great movie to watch if you want something lighthearted and fun that's female character centered.

3. Just Like Heaven

It's no wonder that this one is underrated since it was straight to DVD and didn't have a theatrical release. But I think it's a really fun movie. It's a romcom where a man (Mark Ruffalo) rents a new apartment and discovers that it's inhabitated by a ghost of a woman whose currently in a coma. (Reese Witheespoon). If you like romcoms with supernatural elements I'd definitely check it out. It's also a great story to make a fic AU out of. (I'm looking at you Gallavich and Villaneve shippers).

4. Ella Enchanted

I know some people (mainly the people who read the book) really hate this movie because of how different it is from the source material. But as someone who has admittedly never read the book I really love it. I have a soft spot for comedies set in fantasy settings.

5. Sky High

The plot of this movie is just so much fun. A high school strictly for superheros? I heard it was meant to be a series of movies and I'm so bummed that ended up not happening.

so i watched the blacklist some years ago and stopped at the second part of the third season when liz and red's runnin-from-the-fbi(fbi?god i dont even remember) comes to an end and i missed it so much i just... stopped habzhsh so im obvs a lizzington shipper and i love liz and love it even more when the writers respect her character, so my questions are: should i go back to it and when should i stop?

Oh I think you stopped at the most ideal point, friend. S3A was a peak they haven’t been able to climb back on ever since. They’ve undermined this dynamic in so many ways now that currently it counts as a rare treat if they share a few seconds of screentime that carries real substance. The writing extending any kind of respect to Liz’s character? lol She has to hold up every idiot plot they come up with, so that strikes me as a “no can do” category request as well.

At least that’s how it feels to me right now (but my tolerance level is way down + I fixate on other, more generous shows atm) and that’s why I decided to take a break from TBL myself. But I also def do not want to make this decision for others. If you miss the show and want to come back to it, you should. How I see things is just how I see them, you might have a v different experience. I know there are others who still enjoy the show, so I think the best way is to start watching where you left off and see how you like it.

The only thing I can tell you for a fact is that we are in S7 now but that tight S3A dynamic is still MIA. I still haven’t given up on seeing its return from war but until it does, I will be off doing other stuff and seeing other faves.
