Lexa death wasn't pointless. It was hard, yes; it was horrible, yes; but it wasn't pointless. If Lexa died in a fight or a war, the whole plot would have changed. The Conclave, the Onekru, the entire Octavia arc, the Madi arc and Sheinheda part, would not have sense because all of it came because of how Lexa died. The problem with Lexa death is the fact that the 100 doesn't make a good job in LGTB representation. Miller and Jackson didn't receive the same amount of quality time as other hetero ship like Memori, Lintavia, or Kabby, or even Jasper and Maya (it was more like Marper, suddenly they're there). The problem is that when you treat homosexual people like unicorns (you know, only one of their kind exists), you can't kill them off because... what kind of monster kills a unicorn? The only way to do that right (you know, not killing to offer shock but as a part of the plot) is by having more homosexual relationships. We have 3 gays, 2 lesbian and 1 bisexual. As a bisexual person, I tell you it's not a good show for representation. It is one of my favourite show, yeah, but not good enough for LGTB representation.
