Okay guys bare with me. I wanted to get this one out fast since I’m notoriously slow at prompts.

Lexi

A very detached woman. Blunt, sarcastic and cynical, with a strong set of morals. If she doesn’t like you, she won’t say much, but you’ll know. In fact, she doesn’t speak much at all, even to those she cares about. From a fear to be emotionally vulnerable in such a horrific place, perhaps. Even though she loves deeply, she never loves loudly. She finds it difficult to seperate the rest of the flock from her suffering, which often means she doesn’t like lambs by default. But if you manage to break through that, she’s fiercely loyal and protective.

As said, Lexi doesn’t really speak much, preferring pointed looks over words. She only talks when absolutely necessary. She sees no point filling silence with meaningless chatter, regardless of if said silence is uncomfortable or not. But when she does speak, it’s often short and straight to the point, and rarely displays how she actually feels. There may be a bit of a sharp edge or soft caress to her tone, depending on how she feels about you, but that’s all you get. It’s rare she loses a handle on herself, she is a very controlled person, but occasionally she can’t resist a subtle, acidic jab at someone she dislikes.

Some mannerisms Lexi has is pursing her lips, sucking her teeth and only directly looking at people from the corner of her eye. These are often brought on by annoyance, she is rarely expressive with any other emotion.

“You’re cold. Put a jacket on.” - Most likely to either of her adoptive kids. She isn’t the warmest mother, but small comments like these is how she shows she cares.

“Watch where you point that.” - Sly comment to Tim while he’s holding a weapon. A rare, subtle dig at how immature and violent he is.

“Wouldn’t want to lose your head, would you?” - Literally a straight up threat HAHA since her weapon of choice is an axe. It’s rare she actually threatens people though, she prefers to just do it.

Belle

Basically the opposite of Lexi. Belle is sugary and warm, always either baking or away with the clouds. Her love language is feeding people, and she’s amazing at it! Regardless of who you are, what you have done, come near her counter and she’s sitting you down and popping a tart in your mouth, ready to listen to your problems. It doesn’t matter if you’re an oracle or a lamb, a murderer or an innocent, she’s positive there’s good in you. She’ll find it, and love you for everything else she finds in the meantime. Because she isn’t all good either, not with her skill of glazing the truth. But don’t worry, she won’t lie to you. Unless you’re an oracle.

Thanks to her love of old literature and gothic romance, Belle is very eloquently spoken. Never does she use slang or abbreviations, and is a fan of old and uncommon vocabulary. Additionally, she grew up in the French countryside, so has a French accent to reflect that. The way she speaks is heartfelt and passionate, her voice gentle and reassuring, bordering on innocent, even if she’s telling you a lie. In moments of extreme emotion, she will sometimes slip up and use French affections, exclamations or terms.

As for mannerisms, Belle often hums to herself, twirls her hair, scrunches her nose when in thought and tilts her head when confused or curious. Unlike Lexi, she has a wide variety of expressions and habits, all for different emotions. More include chewing on her lip when she wants to laugh but can’t, playing with her nails when nervous and clasping her hands to show excitement.

“Hello, Ma puce!” - Normally how she greets the younger members of the flock (Ma puce is an affectionate term for children).

“You look famished, sit! Let me fix that.” - Quite literally says this to anyone who walks into the kitchen. Lunch could have just finished. She doesn’t care.

“Delicious, no? I made it with (rambles about ingredients)” - She loves talking about baking! This normally comes after she crams something into your hands. It’s also a tactic she uses on Brian whenever he comes questioning.
