The hesitation in the room was palpable, but Alexis rose to her feet anyway. She knew there was risk in what she was about to say, but she couldn't stay silent. "With all due respect - and believe me when I say I'm all for more equality in our world - some actions speak louder than words. Some actions also speak louder than other actions. I think I speak for many of us when I say we've all seen enough death... Some of it right here in this hall. How does that fit within your beliefs?"
Capscien looked across the room at the girl, and nodded her head. She had anticipated questions like this, though she still didn't have any idea what she would say. "I can assure you that death was something we never wanted to see, and don't want to see anymore. The tragedy that happened here was not planned, and not something that will ever be repeated. Unfortunately, it did happen. All I can do is apologize for what happened, and how it has changed you all. You've gone through more than any children and young adults should. I'm sorry." That was all she could say.
