So for the month of May I’m doing an art challenge I created myself called Magical Girl/Boy May. And since it won the coin toss it’s gonna be Ace Attorney themed. Day 4: the love interest. For the most part the love interest is a target of the main character’s affections. They may be in on their secret of being a magical girl/boy but can’t become one themselves and if they do they’re more a support like Tuxedo Mask or Blue Knight. After much deliberation of all the ships Apollo is involved in, (seriously he’s got the biggest harem of all the AA protagonists), I went with my heart and picked Shizuka Sato, student turned experiment turned apprentice turned girlfriend. Why Shizuka? Well 4 reasons. 1. The fans voted for it to be canon in the Return to Despair Academy Universe. 2. Apollo’s official voice actor, Orion Acaba admitted he found the ship cute 3. I love this ship way too much and every interaction they have brings a smile to my face 4. I’m the one who’s doing the challenge so I pick the ship!

Aaaaaaaw yeah!! The gangs all here! Sir Stardust, Sir Moonlight, Sir Sunshine and Sir Nova!! All ready to take down Queen oblivion’s forces. I know they’re weirdly spaced out but that’s because there were meant to be two others. But I got rid of them at the last minute because 1, I wasn’t happy with their designs and 2, I wanted to wait until after the mid season clash to introduce them! Until then, these four can handle it!

Aw yeah baby after 3 years I finally get to draw Clay again!! So Apollo’s bestie and the adoptive father of Stella, Celeste and Aurora, Clay Terran is dragged into the fray to help out his friends and family. Stella sensed his power and knew he was the only one who could help Apollo!! So, Clay transforms into Princess Kaguya’s devoted servant SIR MOONLIGHT!! Fun fact: my mum did the colouring on this one! She did a fantastic job didn’t she?

Bout time I got caught up on this hahaha prepare to have your feed spammed. So, when someone becomes a magical girl, they need something to help them achieve that form. That’s where the transformation item comes in (aside from it also being used for merchandising) I based the design off of Apollo’s bracelett but added a star motif as he transforms into Sir Stardust. The other main four have a similar design except with a moon, a sun and a nova.
