She very recently transitioned and people are already demanding she dress a certain way???? Like it doesn’t matter what you “don’t want to see” on someone regardless of their age it’s their body and they’re allowed to wear what they want??? With all of the “I wear make-up for me” and “I dress for me” posts on Tumblr how do people still feel they have a right to dictate how other people dress like. They obviously don’t care about what you don’t want to see bc they’re dressing for themselves

oh mY FUCKING GOODNESS OKAY SO

my fucking math teacher like 2 months ago said "YOLO? That's just about the gayest thing I've ever heard" so like a week ago I (along with 3 other GSA members) gave a presentation at the staff meeting and told them why saying "that's so gay" is bad and that people still get bullied for their sexuality and that teachers should take action

and this one teacher is not allowing anyone use the word "gay" because it's "used as a derogatory term too much so no one's allowed to say it"

WE LITERALLY WENT FROM ONE SIDE OF THE "DON'T DO THIS" SPECTRUM TO THE OTHER SIDE OF THE "ALSO DON'T DO THIS" PART

YAY FOR TEACHERS WHO MISINTERPRET THINGS WE SAY

Me: "Okay so [this] is the appropriate way to treat a situation"

Teacher: "Oh so you want me to do [opposite of this] okay gotcha"

Okay so I know that it's kind of annoying for allies to come out on national coming out day

and I know it makes you simply a decent person for being an ally

but a lot of places still hate lgbtq+ people and it's simply on Tumblr that it gives the idea that a lot of people support it because yeah lots of people do but lots of people don't

people get shit for supporting lgbtq+ rights

I have plenty of friends who have been bullied for being gay or trans* and I don't think it's fair to bash on allies just because "they don't get it" because honestly some of my straight friends have been bullied for being gay more in one month than I have my entire life

maybe this is an unpopular opinion because I've seen a lot of people giving allies shit because national coming out day was October 11th but seriously stop you guys are being assholes
