₊ ˟   though things may seem chaotic when it comes to the other teams, allie finds that the switch was probably better in the end in comparison to their original country  -  italy has so much more to choose from, staple dishes that everyone knows and loves.  in comparison to the united states, where there seems to be more of a mish mash of foods and flavours, nothing staple.  once she and jinyoung decided on pizza and a dessert of poached cherries with mascarpone cream, they got to work with little stress.

this is a game that allie actually likes, and it’s a game that maybe she won’t be perfect in but at least it’s not like she’ll fail from the start.  as she gets to work on the cherries, she takes a look at jinyoung’s tomato sauce, humming as he’s mashing the tomatoes into a paste.  “ how is it coming? need any help?”

---------- fairy god,,brother? 

     when he had first learnt of the rooming situation for the tour, jiho will be the first to admit that he absolutely was not happy when he found out that he would have a manager as a roommate. he didn’t understand why some of the other trainees just had rooms without a manger, yet he had to stay with one. 

     he had heard through the grapevine that the other room that had a manager was being monitored because of things that had happened before the tour, but from what he knew—none of his roommates had done anything that required them to be under adult supervision for anything. so honestly? he feels somewhat like he’s being punished. but then he really looked at the rooming lists, and felt better. he was with iseul and @lgcjin so that wasn’t too bad. at least he was with friends. 

     at least. 

     “jinyoung-ah,” jiho calls out, deliberating on a blog post of the city they were in, looking over all the landmarks. “what do you think is the most iconic place here?” he asks, needing a second opinion because he really couldn’t decide. “i need to go and take a picture near it.”

     when she had signed up for the the farmwork charity day event, she had mostly just wanted to go to said farm and hopefully pet a pig. maybe pick some fruits. help the elderly. so far? she’s only managed to do one of those things despite arriving early with everyone else. she had been assigned the task of handing out water to the workers, probably because she’s visibly younger than a lot of the trainees despite her height, and she had just finished that and was now on the hunt for something else they would allow her to do. 

     “oppa,” haeun greets jinyoung as she walks up next to him, wondering what he was doing and if she could possibly help him with something at all. “do you need help?” she asks after glancing at him and then bowing her head in greeting as an elderly ahjusshi approaches them. 

     redirecting her question to the farmer, he laughs and tells them that they should go and help the ahjummas inside sort and wash some of the fruit in which she perks up immediately, wanting to help with whatever was possible. 

     “let’s go!”

公연; to the MAX ! ep. 2

𝐈𝐓'𝐒 𝐒𝐇𝐎𝐖 𝐓𝐈𝐌𝐄 ! now that he’s warmed up, max is full of energy and pumped up for the next recording of the show. his third guest comes in the form of male trainee choi jinyoung, someone he had been excited with bringing on. since they were around the same age, max figures he’ll have quite a fun time hanging with him, and since he has had a couple runs now he thinks he’s gotten all the mistakes out the way. plus - third time’s always a charm, right ?

“ welcome, welcome ! you ready to go crazy ? this show’s gonna require a lotta energy, let me tell you - phew ! ” after three runs, max has grown accustomed to the fast pace of the show, something he had anticipated but had still taken quite a lot out of him. after a little recharged he seems to be just as hyper as ever, however, and he’s trying to share his enthusiasm with his guest for the day. “ but really, i think you’ll have fun ! oh - and don’t forget, when i turn to you, make sure to say ‘ to the max ’ ! don’t worry, you’ll get the hang of it. ” perhaps it’s because he’s already adjusted to the routine of the show, but he’s talking so fast that he really isn’t sure if poor jinyoung can keep up.

after getting the okay from the producers, he steps forward into the lights, guiding jinyoung over with him as well. “ we got this dude. fighting ! ” lifting an encouraging fist in the air, he smiles at the other before turning his attention to the camera. “ boom ! welcome to the only show where we knock legacy trainee’s socks off with exciting new challenges every week - this is max choi, and we’re taking things ... ” encouragingly, he turns to the other, urging him to join in. “ ... to the max ! ” he’s definitely got a loud presence, but he’s excited, and it shows. he isn’t stingy for screentime, however, and is sure to avert the attention to his guest for the day. “ today i am joined by the impeccable mr. choi ji - ah, wait, why don’t you be the one to introduce yourself ? make yourself known, dude !

Insiders, eh? Yonghwa squinted at the name of their group when it was first announced. Was that another way of saying the popular kids or somehow implying they were the gossipers? Thankfully, there was someone to explain, so he didn’t have to ponder for long.

The MV recording was underway and Yonghwa stood with the rest of the members of the Insiders group, waiting for their cue. The athletes were taking their time and during the moment of idleness, he figured he might as well make conversation. “What were you like in high school, Jinyoung?” He chose the person standing closest to him for the sake of convenience. 

“Shall I guess?” Yonghwa gave his fellow insider a once-over from the top to the bottom. “Choir kid? Part of the band?” The other had that sort of look. “Animal lovers club?” Yes, their high school had one of those. For club activity, all they did was watching various animal-related movies and share pictures of their pets.

legacy certainly had upped the level of the competition. whereas they had had 5 weeks to learn 4 new songs last time, they needed to learn the same amount in just 2 weeks. 4 songs completely different from the other. there was no time to think, to time to breathe, no time to rest. morning to evening it was hard work and sweat. and he didn't have jinyoung this time around to go through it with. sure there was haneul and seojin, but he didn't want to feel like a burden or depend too much on them. he wouldn't feel comfortable doing that and he'd worry that he's making them uncomfortable too by being so needy. two weeks end up feeling like an eternity. an eternity that passes too fast when it comes to all the work he has to do. and also an eternity that goes on too slow for how lonely it feels. 

part of the issue comes from him, from the fact that every night when he comes to the dorm and sees his friend, he says nothing. why is it so hard to say "i need you".

your friendship with choi jinyoung hasn't gone unnoticed last season. how does it feel to be here without him?

he's taken aback by the question. it's obvious he didn't expect them to bring up jinyoung. "it's hard." he finally admits. at first he smiles a bit at the thought of his friend, but the smile fades quickly. and finally he sighs. "i first joined because of him, but i'm continuing the adventure without him..." his voice dies more than his sentence is over. there's a knock in his throat. it feels wrong to be here without him, to create a gap between their experiences when he even joined this company to follow jinyoung in his dreams. "i miss him." he couldn't hold back the tears anymore, so he drops his head to hide them.
