soft giggles left your mouth as you laughed at the joke Minji just made. she looked at you , eyes full of joy and something else… you couldn’t quite tell what it was yet but it was nothing bad. its like she saw and admired your every giggle and move. was it love? you didn’t know. you already figured out that you had a big crush on Minji. you weren’t familiar with this feeling. your heart fluttered every time you saw her, but it was all new to you. Minji gave you several hints during the first week, but you were a bit too nervous to give her hints back. you were really clueless and it showed.

Minji on the other hand, was a bit confused herself, even though she was a bit more experienced than you. she always tried to give you the hint that she liked you but you didn’t seem to give them to her. of course, you always followed her, blushed whenever she gave you a compliment and such, but you just seemed shy to give those hints back… or you were just clueless. Minji still knew you liked her though. and she liked you too. a lot. that was new to her too. she’s never really liked anyone more than you. she always looked at you with eyes full of love, and even though she never showed it, she was just as inexperienced to feeling this new feeling as you. (english isn’t my first language i’m sorry if this was incorrect😭)

back in the present time, it was only five days left until the summer camp would be over. you and Minji were sitting alone at the beach, at night and just enjoying each others presence. Minji made a lot of jokes, as you laughed at them, even if you didn’t find some of them funny. you just liked being around her and she seemed to be feeling the same. as you both stopped laughing, she looked at you and smiled.

“i’m going to miss you for the rest of the summer…” she told you, her expression being a bit sad. your heart sank at the thought of not seeing your Minji everyday…

“i know we exchanged phone numbers but that’s just not enough i guess… i want to see you in person more… do you perhaps… feel the same?” Minji asked after a small pause. she seemed unsure in your feelings somehow and it made you sad. very sad.

“of course i do Minji. you’re the best person i’ve met… why wouldn’t i feel that?” you told her, as you looked up at her with caring eyes. the answer clearly made Minji very happy, because she looked you in the eyes and said:

“y/n… you know i really like you… a lot.”

your heart almost stopped beating when you heard her words. butterflies erupted in your stomach as you blushed. you were too scared to say anything. the silence was a bit awkward. you were so nervous that you couldn’t answer anything. disappointment was on Minjis beautiful face as her face became more sad.

“sorry for bothering. didn’t realize you felt different. i’m really sorry if i made you uncomfortable with all this-“ you interrupted her as your lips met hers. she was very surprised, but she started taking lead in the kiss as she wrapped her hands around your waist and pulled you closer. the kiss was so light and innocent. both of you ended the kiss together and smiled at eachother. that’s when you realized that Kim Minji was your first love.

“i like you a lot too Minji.”
