DEVELOPING OVERNIGHT: LHFC's Dumagueteño Pastor and Blocktime Radio Commentator Host 'Rey Laping' found guilty of Cyber Libel for allegedly spreading False Information and Hateful Remarks [#OneNETnewsEXCLUSIVE]

DUMAGUETE, NEGROS ORIENTAL -- A local missionary pastor of Living Hope Family Church (LHFC) and the alleged blocktime radio commentator host of 90.5mhz DYRL-FM's Like Radio News FM: Dumaguete named 'Rey Laping' (whose real name as Pstr. Renato Angcon Laping from Sibulan town) was found guilty for cyber libel due to sensitively hateful remarks of mass disinformation about the assassination of the late-Dumaguete governor 'Roel Ragay Degamo' in Pamplona town, along with tackling local & regional issues in Negros Oriental.
Immediately after a radio blocktime program episode of 'Garbo' on Friday night (May 24th, 2024 -- Dumaguete local time), a social media captioned post on Facebook (owned by Meta Platforms Inc. [MPi]) as one local Pamplona Mayor 'Ms. Janice Vallega Degamo' quoted: "Tonight, we scored a resounding victory for truth and justice with Pstr. Laping being found guilty of cyber-libel for the horrific lies he spread about (my late husband) Roel Ragay Degamo in an attempt to discredit the sacrifice he made for his fellow NegOr-renses. I will not rest until the people who continue to threaten the peace, security and future of our province face the justice they deserve!", Ms. Degamo said.
Somewhere last year in 2023 for example. Pstr. Laping called out in Cebuano dialect, resisting to pervertedly harass 'Eugene Ubas' unless he is trying to hide with a disrespectful manner. But last week on Friday night during the said 'Garbo' radio programme, he shares about the national issue of Ms. Alice Leal Guo (who is a Filipino-Chinese mayor in Tarlac) and among others by discussing local or regional issues this said province of Negros Oriental.
Combining his darker and stronger views as a block-time radio journalist & commentator, with the missionary pastor aspect of 'LHFC' in order to serve the public and assist the needy ones by spreading hope and faith. Apart the LHFC, Pstr. Laping attracted criticism for his extremely offensive comments on-the-air, in which he frequently expresses controversial opinions. Some Negrosanon listeners have found his comments divisive and inflammatory, leading to debates and discussions within the community.
The management of Capitol Broadcasting Center (CBC) for Like Radio News FM in Dumaguete City, including station manager of DYRL-FM and 'Tirada 90' local radio anchor 'Rene Rodriguez Ledesma' is yet to resign personally or to broadcast a last blocktime episode of "Garbo", which is airing potentially on Monday night (May 27th, 2024) before PNP-Dumaguete or NOPPO police come to permanently suspend Pstr. Laping, during or after this said local radio programme.
Pstr. Laping was now charged in violation of the Republic Act #10175: Section 4c.4 or Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012, in beyond reasonable doubt of the crime and later penalized with a relation to Article 355 of the Revised Penal Code (RPC) due to a system interference. He is now soon to be sentenced under Section 6 of this said R.A. for cyber libel, with a fine of PHP60,000 (or roughly U$D1,033).
