Thank you so much for asking this question. Like you, I too am a big supporter of the arts. I believe that music, arts and culture are vital components to the education system and can engage students of all ages.
Arts has been a constant focus in my life, I have a degree in Art History, I worked in museum education at the National Museum of Asian Art at the Smithsonian and I started 918 Bathurst Centre for Culture, Arts, Media & Education in Toronto. My wife is also a high school music teacher in the community and she works hard to get extra resources to provide music education to her students.
As trustee, I would advocate for more resources to be put towards programs that support music, arts and culture.
I hope this gives you a better understanding of what I stand for and I hope that I can earn your support.
