not sure which combination of camera settings produced this but for this picture it mostly works
day 24 is flowers, and i have an entire flower research academy waiting for its spotlight. havent worked on it in a while because its scope is supposed to be Massive so i need to learn how to do things by working on smaller projects. once i figure out an efficient way to program a calendar in renpy it will be very possible to make this thing
pictured is the guy who started it all and arguably without him none of my vns would exist
ohhh Liaf my little guy <3<3 the fail-safe deity . WAS a God of time from its dimension , now its been chilling as Henry's little buddy for years
[reblogs >>> likes] more info under the cut
it/its pronouns only !
Liaf is 300 years old physically, but with the mind of a 7 year old child. Its species ages very slowly.
Liaf, like Juri, was captured by the CCC at SOME POINT in the timeline. Liaf, however, was captured after the major security breach. The CCC didn't anticipate Liaf having TOO MUCH power, and weren't able to secure it before it found a flaw in its containment and escaped lol whoops.
Liaf's escape was only helped by the fact that it cannot be seen by the naked, mortal eye in most instances. Chaos readings were off the charts when it was around, but that was the only indication of its presence.
The CCC panicked a good amount when Liaf escaped because Liaf had such an overarching grip on the timeline that it had a very very possible chance of becoming an Agent of Catastrophe. This is foreshadowing.
After escaping, Liaf tries to find food and shelter. Liaf eats coins and riches, so it found places where people had those things, eating until there wasn't anything left and booking it once hell broke loose and the people it stole from were left panicking over where their money went. Liaf doesn't realize that in this universe, coins and gemstones have monetary value. It just sees it as food.
Anyways, all of this leads Liaf into the bank, where it finds Henry just before they're arrested. Liaf, curious, decides to follow Henry by tagging along on their head.
Liaf makes itself known while Henry's alone waiting to be transferred to a cell. It strikes a deal with Henry after reading their thoughts about what they'd GIVE to go back and try another outcome. Liaf can give Henry just that.
The CCC notices a sudden spike in activity in the timeline and the dimension itself is shaking under the pressure to withstand it all. Time-travel operations of the CCC have to close for the time being, and they finally mark it down that an Agent of Catastrophe has become active in the timeline with the assistance of a mortal vessel. That is of course Liaf, with Henry as its vessel.
Liaf is a playful little kid. It took a liking to Henry and Henry's things pretty much immediately. The ball it always carries with it was actually a gift from Henry. It was a regular ol' bouncy ball that Liaf was so fixated on that Henry just let it have it. Liaf can change the properties of the ball to any image, shape, or color, etc. that it wants. Usually it just keeps it as the same red color it usually is. "LAUNCH" is typically written on it because Liaf likes to pretend it's all a sort of game, and that it has to press the "button" to launch another timeline and outcome.
Liaf has frequent nightmares, and likes curling up with Henry in bed. Henry has just gotten used to the fact that they'll always wake up with a little deity curled up on their chest.
Liaf is the first being that Henry actually gave two shits about LMAO they would quite literally kill if anything happened to Liaf. The two are inseparable, and Henry has come to see Liaf as their responsibility to take care of. Liaf is equally as protective of Henry, and the two share a really close sibling bond.
Had the most incredible time at the London International Animation Festival yesterday! I discovered lots of amazing new short films and also had chance to see some of my favourites on the big screen - namely Niki Lindroth Von Bahr’s The Burden which is a beautiful, but also hilarious, stop-motion musical and it won the best of the festival prize! I had a really, really amazing time.
Two of my films are screening at LIAF's "Animated Documentaries" programme at the Barbican on 5th Dec 😁 "Colorscope White" I directed for CNN @cnncreative and "Yours Truly, Edna Welthorpe" which I designed and animated with Chris Shepherd. #LIAF @barbicancentre (at Barbican Centre)
