From the first moment Liam gives Ryder that little wave, and they get stranded together on Habitat 7, I was so charmed. And so ready to romance him! The whole "having each other's backs from the beginning, friends-to-lovers" trope got me immediately. And just like Ryder, he's ready to jump into this new life and galaxy with both feet, look under every rock, see all it has to offer; all while feeling responsible to everyone else relying on the Pathfinder team. He's full of energy, and makes mistakes, and uses humor to try to undercut it all:
If you play a Ryder who is overwhelmed and curious and jokey, Liam and Ryder just feel like two little peas in a pod. Sharing one braincell, goading each other on to do the next wildly dangerous yet technically responsible yet stupid thing.
