There were ecosystem’s everywhere, even in abandoned buildings. The whole reason he was here was due to a large nesting of bats that he was being silent to avoid disturbing as he took stock of them. The building was hardly usable anymore, he’d heard the fire department regularly needed to keep an eye on it for structural safety purposes but he was much more interested in the nesting mammals above him.
Chou’s attention was diverted when he heard a crunch on the floor and whipped around, seeing a man in the doorway, his uniform denoting him as a member of the fire department. Without speaking, he gestured up at the bats before beginning to silently move to leave the building, motioning for the other to follow.
