I was reading some yandere fics, and even if I like the depiction of the victims a lot, there's this part of me that asks about, what about a victim that completely gives up for them? Like, okay, yandere kidnaps Yn, but she doesn't fight, she just, resings, she stops eating, drinking water, just sleeps. Maybe ask for a journal for her to keep a diary, that obviously Yandere is going to read, but what's going to be the reaction of yandere? Normally I think yandere keeps YN for the interest that she gives them, the way her smiles lit their day, and her anger fills them up with adrenaline, how observing her and having her is so precious to them, her little routine, at what hour she awakes and how she makes her breakfast. But then, they possess her, they have her imprisoned and would give her the world, but not freedom. And yn changes, in a way yandere didn't expect. Yn isn't angry, YN is numb. She doesn't scream in anger for being incarcerated, she just sleeps, and sleeps, and sleeps. She doesn't talk, and maybe once or twice a day she goes to the bathroom, until not eating makes her constipated and she never again rises from the bed.
Yandere doesn't know what to do, where's the spark she had? The aura of happiness and emotions that she had around? Where's that girl who never stopped talking and had opinions of everything? Why is she gone? She has everything here, food, drinks, a bed, a TV, games, books, a garden, maybe even a pet, why isn't she doing anything?
And even WORST if she's an orphan or she cut contact with her family.
"I know I can't run away, I know I'm not strong enough to take you, I don't have someone looking for me, and I don't have a reason to live here, why would I fight? There's no coming back outside, I'm not stupid. And I hate you, I despise you, so what's the point of talking to you? I'm not even interested in hearing what you like, what you think, what you feel, that's a bunch of bullshit for me."
And that's everything she says. And yandere maybe tries everything, falling deeper and deeper in their craziness, being unable to figure her out. It's torture, it's making them feel so bad that they don't know how to continue.
I don't know how a storyline with those characteristics should end, but it's funny to think about it.
