Blessed be thy Gods, ruler of my pantheon. Those whom I hold deep respect and reverence for. Those who deserve eternal praise.
Blessed be thy king of kings, the closest thing to an authority that I hold in high regard. I find myself bound to the wild, to the natural order, to that of chaos. The only laws I willingly follow are those of mutual aid and mutual struggle. Yet the word of Jupiter, divine Joveian Zeus, I follow, as it is divine law. Thunder bringer, his bolts can trigger loud noises, sending me into anxieties and fear, but all things pass, as do the storms. I appreciate his thunder as much as I fear its noise, though the thunder, the king, and my fear are unrelated. A different cause has made this godly sound frightening to me, and others who were also long ago hurt. Blessed is the son of Chronos who usurped his throne, long may he reign from the skies above.
Blessed is Hera, the goddess of marriage, queen of the heavens, alongside her companion Jupiter. Blessed be the faithful, vengeful goddess, who is so often miscast by poets and scribes. Mother to Mars, Vulcan, to the mother herself Eileithyia, and to youthful Hebe. Colorful Hera, blessed be thy eyes in that of cuckoos, peacocks, and every fabulous bird. Blessed be Prosymnaia Juno, may this hymn please you, as you are goddess to hymns. May your divine light continue to glow in the minds of all poets.
Blessed be Achaean Athena, daughter of Zeus, one of two gods said to be his heir. As your wisdom runs through the minds of the smartest, and you continue to be the matron of great tacticians like Odysseus. Allow your spear to never have to touch flesh again, allow your knowledge of battle to never be needed, as it is a burden you bear. The trials of man continue to drag you and your half-brother Ares into our conflicts, as we become increasingly violent and sides become equally as evil. Blessed be the bearer of this pain, blessed be thy Minerva goddess born of Zeus’s crown. Blessed be the wise god of battle, may you never have to face the horrors of war again, and may we never have to join you in its troubles.
Blessed be thy Liber Androgynos, liberator deity of gender non-conformity, of wilderness, madness, chaos, ecstasy, and wine. Blessed be thy partying god, whom I have dedicated my very essence to. Blessed be thy father Bacchus, may your wine pour through me in an insanity, the very same insanity you blessed the Maenads with. May your fruitful forest escapades with Pan and thousands of satyrs and nymphs continue in loud measure. May your freedom and liberation reach every soul until all are drunk with a frenzied glee. May your joy bless everyone for just one moment. Blessed be thy Dionysus, wild god born of Jupiter’s thigh, second heir to Olympus’s throne.
Blessed be Artemis, twin goddess of the hunt and dark, matron to the pure, and defender of all women. Blessed are thy dark locks as you blend into the black night under the quiet of the new moon. Blessed are those who call upon you in the hunt. Slayer of Orion, wicked hunter, may no more of your huntresses bear the whips of what he committed. Psychopomp to the dead, may you continue to help guide souls to Hades' house and protect those divinatory magicians who encounter spirits too strong. Blessed be thy protector goddess, and may the thanks of those you have helped be always heard.
Blessed be thy Lucifer Apollo, twin god of the lyre, god of the bow. Blessed be your radiance, bright light shining throughout the early day. Sun cloaked divinity, may you never be free from fun. May your mischief continue, although with some challenge from Mercury. Blessed be thy playful god, may your music always fall on fruitful ears. Blessed be thy bright Apollo.
Blessed be thy Thracian Mars, lover of love herself and god of war. May you never be pelted with the arrows of wrath again, may you rest. May the violence cease. May gratitude fall upon you for teaching men to defend themselves; may the skills you taught be never needed again. May you know the peace we all desperately need and that you deserve. May your gentle, caring side be never ignored again. May you, for just a moment, rest. Blessed be thy Ares, the mistook god of war and violence, blessed be Mars.
Blessed be thy Venus, love incarnate, lover of war, wife of craft. Born of sea foam and the severed member of Uranus. Holy is thou, gorgeous Aphrodite, in every aspect of your essence. May true passion and love fall upon every soul you so wish to bless. May strawberry fields appear where you step. Blessed be the pink goddess whose heart fills us all. Blessed be the radiant goddess of beauty, may all who pray to her become even a percent as radiant as her.
Blessed is Poseidon, often dubbed the secondary ruler of Olympus. Your waves crash and pull, your salt stings the eyes of many, your power is not to be trifled with, as one wrong wave can seal the fate of the unwary. Powerful Poseidon may no one doubt your prowess. Blessed be thy frightening god of the ocean. The depths call to your worshipers, the sea calls to many. May you always be respected, may pollutants stop attacking your domain. May you continue your rule of the seismic and the oceanic. Blessed is thy Laimia Poseidon, powerful deity of the salt and brine.
Blessed be thy Demeter, goddess of spring, of the coming of warmth and flowers. Blessed is the green goddess. May winter not kill those close to us before you bless us with life. Blessed is thy mother of the dead’s queen. Allow your worship to continue as the green spreads over the earth. While Dionysus might have blessed us with marijuana, and Gaia with the earth herself, you gifted us life, bringing the gifts to flourish, blessed is Demeter.
Blessed be thy Hephaestus, god of the volcanic, of the forge, husband of love herself. Leader of the cyclopses Brontes, Steropes, and Arges: inventors of the Helm, Trident, and Lightning-bolt. Blessed is thy Vulcan, god of the disabled and patron to those who need that influence most. Though stories say you were born with deformed legs, and some say you were even cast out by Hera, your mother, you have remained the inventor, the crafter, one of the twelve Olympians, the twelve most powerful of the gods. Blessed be thy Vulcan god of the forge. Let your molten metal always land into the perfect shape for your next weapon.
Blessed is Poneomenus Hermes. God of mischief, travel, medicine, and messenger of gods. The greatest navigators owe you thanks. Holy is Hermes, who has been turned to find direction or find cure. Blessed is thy Athanatus Diactorus, who always gives the lost direction. Blessed be thy tricky Mercury, who causes mayhem and fun with Phoebus Apollo and Liber. May every second be filled with praise for the mischievous god of travel. May prayers for health and healing be always answered by you, oh great healer; may we thank you, ancient doctor.
Blessed is Hades, king of the dead. Ruler of the house of the passed. You hold a great burden in caring for those who have fallen. May your name be revered with respect. Wearer of the helm of darkness, blessed be thy Pluto.
Blessed is Persephone, pomegranate-eater, wife to Hades, warm queen of the dead. The loved goddess who splits the year, creating balance. Holder of the veil between the dead and the living, blessed is the queen of Hades house. May your name continue to be revered and only spoken of with appreciation and respect.
Blessed is Helios, the retired titan of the sun, and ruler of Othrys, mediator between gods and titans. Blessed is the bright titan, powerful and ancient, father of Circe the witch, who possesses magic strong enough to even transform other deities into monsters. Allow praise to be spoken in your name as you share your title with Apollo.
Blessed be Oceanus, titan of the seas; his power is as fearsome as Poseidon’s. Blessed is the aquatic titan, father of rivers and their personifications. The great betrayer of Chronos and defender of the Olympians. The fair and just oceanic titan. Blessed is thy Oceanus.
Blessed be they Gaia, mother of all, primordial god of earth. Humanity apologizes for what we have done to your great gift. The majority of us despise the action of the few who committed this violence, yet people remain so divided that direct action seems fruitless. Your children still love you, great mother Gaia, blessed be Mother Earth. We apologize on behalf of the horrendous who destroy your very roots.
Blessed be Khaos, the void from which all originates. Blessed be the end and the beginning, blessed be what defines us. Chaos is life, chaos is wilderness and nature, chaos is the breeze and the tornado, chaos is everything and nothing, it is the spectrum of life. The primordial Khaos is no different, unknowable, incomprehensible. Blessed is the primordial Khaos, blessed be thy end.
Blessed be thy gods, thy titans, thy primordials. We thank you for everything you’ve done.
